1. Why do they even bother?
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.02.08)
Some polls show they may get only 6 seats in the Knesset. Considering the damage this party has done to the State of Israel , they don't deserve even the 6 seats. Ehud Barak is as big a liability as Olmert. I look forward to their eventual demise.
2. there is price if go to bed with Olmert & Livni & sell out
zionist forever   (12.02.08)
Barak is the sole individual responsible for the act that Labour now is expected to get fewer seats than the arab parties and even Meeretz are expected to get more seats than Labour. Its a second rate nothing which is going to have zero influence in the running of the country after the election. Even if Livni wins it unless she is desperate she wont be inviting a party as small as Labour into the coalition. If Barak had stood by his threat months ago to pull out of the coalition instead of at the last minute cutting a deal with Olmert whereby Labour would stay in the coalition, avoiding the need for an election if Kadima held primaries. That decision alone showed Barak had no credbility, he was afraid that Labour would loose to Likud so didnt want an election better to stay senior partner in a Kadima led coalition. This allowed Livni to become the head of Kadima if the party hadn't given Livni a chance to cement hersef as leader of the party many Kadima defectors from Likud & Labour would have returned home and in the public eye Kadima would represet sell out and Olmerts coruption not the new face Livni. If we had gone into an election with a political situation like this then Likud probably would have won but Kadima would have faded into the history books as one time wonders in Israeli politics instead of becoming the party of the left. If Barak wants to help his party now then in the next couple of months he should show a little credibility start acting like a defense minister and member of the oppossition by acting tough with Israels enemies instead of looking for deals and making concesions and stand up to Livni & Olmert instead of being their lapdog.
3. MKs Yacimovich, Pines-Paz, Tamir etc explain the 6 mandates
redmike ,   tel aviv   (12.02.08)
Voters that don't want a right wing government are leaving for Meretz and Meretz's supposed guiding lights have quit the party which indicates the plight of the left. Leftist sympathizers have nowhere to go to and no one to vote for, Mike
4. Why Is Barak Always Grinning?
Lawrence ,   zefat Israel   (12.02.08)
He is like the bloody cheshire cat...
5. #4 Larry, Safed. That's what clowns do.
Terry   (12.02.08)
Peretz grinned a lot too but he was not exactly a clown, a buffoon is more accurate. The over-stuffed Barak should be wearing a clown's costume - Bozo Barak ....

The labour party was unable to find a bigger LIE Blame the computer. They know that the public will not vote for people that do nothing for the people.Nobody wants to be connected to the new MINISTER OF EVICTIONS. Elections will bring another defence minister.Voting will be delayed again in eight days. There is nobody to vote for.
11. why do slots need to be guaranteed for women?
nate ,   Canada   (12.02.08)

13. 11
zionist forever   (12.02.08)
Its what they call posative discrimination by reserving slots for women. Personly I dont see it as being any different to any other form of discrimination. Women love to say they want to be equal to men but they still expect to get treated different by having certain slots reserved just for them for the sole reason that they are women. If they want to be so equal men and think they can do the job just as well as a man then why cant they go head to head with a man on equal terms and let winner take all based on ability not sex.
14. A picture tells 1000 words
zionist forever   (12.02.08)
In the picture Barak is waving goodbye. The man knows that just like the other Ehud he is all washed out in politics. If the election result is as bad is predicted the Labour party will never forgive him and there will be no comebacks. Goodbye Ehud & Ehud
