1. All I can think about is baby Moshe
Talula ,   Israel   (12.02.08)
and it brakes my heart.
2. #1
yaakov ,   Yerushalayim, IL   (12.02.08)
Me too Talula, it keeps me awake at night thinking of the trauma this sweet little child has been through and will carry with him for all his days. I cannot get my head around the cruelty of this Muslim terrorist wherever they are in the world, no matter how much we have come to expect from time - every fresh pigua, they manage to reach new depths. what did the beautiful young Rabbanit Rivki do to deserve death by torture and bullets? is living a life of holiness and service, providing people with education, meals and shabbatot an "insult" to islam? maybe the followers of muhammad would be so kind as to tell as what ISN'T offensive to islam, because the list of what does make them angry seems so extensive one just doesn't know anymore. what an insecure and false religion muhammad (yimach shmo v'zichro) bequeathed unto the world.
3. May all 6 rest in peace
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (12.02.08)
wishing all the fam's a long life and may Moshe grow to be a mench, like his late father. our harts are with you all in Israel today.
4. To #2
Peleg ,   Golan   (12.02.08)
Exactly - my thoughts!
5. #2 - I know : (
Talula ,   Israel   (12.02.08)
And I agree with all that you wrote.
6. Rabbis never change
Sarah   (12.02.08)
It is very sad that all the Chabad Rabbis in their eulogies at the memorial ceremony for Gaby and Rivki in Israel, only shouted their pain, praised the lord for bringing 2 year old Moshe back to Israel to continue his parents mission, BUT not one of them thanked the lord for "gentiles" like Sandra. Why do we Jews feel the world owes us????
7. to Yaakov #2
mike cato ,   USA   (12.02.08)
In answer to your question, what is it that makes Islamists angry, the answer is that EVERYTHING that is not Islam makes them angry and violent. This is nothing new,it goes back to the 7th Century and It behooves Jews worldwide to read the Qur'an AND especially the Hadiths (the latter is often overlooked). In these so-called religious writings, what prevails is anger, sadism, threats of violence, actual violence, including sadistic violence, hatred, bigotry, racism and, most importantly, an obsessive, pathological PARANOIA. It is important to read the Islamic texts in order not to be shocked and surprised at every terrorist attack.
8. BEST KEPT SECRET IN THE WORLD!
m   (12.02.08)
The Jews have been heavily tortured by the sadistic muslims and nobody writes about it. Can anyone imagine what would have happened if it was the other way around?? No riots, no public outrage, not even a word in the main media, we are doomed.
9. G-d bless Sandra Samuel!!
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (12.02.08)
An angel was sent to save Moshe and her name is Sandra Samuel.
10. Shimon Peres
Sarah   (12.02.08)
Shimon Peres was the only one who offered his condolences to the Indian embassador at the memorial service. Their nation also lost many.
11. to #6
Aharon ,   Shaare Tikva, Israel   (12.02.08)
Sarah, Rabbi Metzger thanked sandra in his speech
12. #6
Racheal ,   Rehovot   (12.02.08)
Do you think they reported the whole 15-30 mintue eulogy? or that they reported all of the eulogies? I wasn't there and neither were you. Maybe Sandra was mentioned and thanked. We don't know. What we do know is that this is not the time to look for negative things to say. Let's try to act with love and tolerance to others, giving them the benefit of the doubt. After all, that is how we expect others to act towards us.
13. #10
Joseph ,   Israel   (12.02.08)
Shimon Peres was also the only one who pardoned Samir Kuntar
14. no6
mordechai ,   brooklyn NY   (12.02.08)
I was by a live hook of the funeral, i can tell you that almost every speaker made a mention of Sandra. Your hatred for the Religious knows no bounds, that you will fabricate a story so you may have aplatform to spew your hatered.
15. #6 Sarah, the various speakers mentioned Sarah.
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (12.02.08)
Many times. She's also been mentioned in every single recounting of the events in Chabad synagogues. So put your preconceived notions aside for a moment. Religious Jews have been thanking the Righteous Among the Nations since before you were even born. And Sandra certainly deserves our thanks, and more.
16. Barbarians have Torture our people
AlbertoGA ,   St. George UT, USA   (12.02.08)
Please see Debka.com site. There must not be any more days of rest for the Barbarians. They must pay the ultimate price, regardless of what it will cost. Peace at any price with the Neo Nazi Muslim gang is not possible. Let as stay on our guard Worlwide.
17. Stand proud Jew!
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (12.02.08)
Rivky and Gabi, you taught the Muslims and the world the difference between martyrs, which you are, and petty murderers, which they are. You taught the Muslims and the world the difference between giving your entire life to a just cause, which you did and obsessing in evil, which they do. You have lifted the mask off the Muslim terrorists and revealed them for what they are: anti-Semites who hate us not because of this piece of land or the other but because we believe in the Torah of our forefathers. And for this we are forever grateful.
18. To No. 14 - Your hatred reflected onto others
Sarah   (12.02.08)
I have most certainly heard and read many kind words about the nanny who saved the baby (including Rabbi Rosenberg and Grosberg both amazing and down to earth people). BUT I specifically referred to todays memorial and that apart from one Rabbi from Israel I did not hear anyone else mention the "gentile" nanny. Certainly not the Rabbi from the Habad headqtrs in the US. Also apart from the President Mr. Peres no one seemed to remember that this high profile service was also attended by many diplomats whose countries have lost their own in this terror attack. Please reread. Who hates who???
19. #13 - Yep!
Israel   (12.02.08)
20. sandra
yechiel ,   london   (12.02.08)
after watching the entire funeral live, it is safe to say that every speaker thanked sandra for saving Moshe, and securing continuity for Gabi & Rivki
21. The murderers and the Media.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (12.02.08)
The events of Munbai, the “surprise” they caused, the clumsy fashion they were treated, and the almost glorifying attitude meted out to them by the world media, demonstrate, 7 years after September 11, that little was learned in the West from them while the pledges of Islamic terrorism to pursue its novel strategy proved credible and feasible. For, after Madrid, London, Bali and other acts of mega-terrorism, the west still hesitates to pronounce the M- word , and talks about “Militants” , who draw sympathy in the Islamic world, instead of condemning them as Muslim terrorists and try to rally moderate governments worldwide in support of the war against them. Moreover, instead of vigorously rejecting the Muslim notion of jihad, in the name of which all these horrors are done, the West has been indulging in the vain distinction between Islam and “Islamism”, ignoring the fact that they are one and the same faith and that jihad is the language of both. 22. questions
Ilana   (12.02.08)
I too cried, and still do when I see Moishe. I also cried for all the soldiers and other victims of Islam and palestinian terrorists. Perhaps this is not the right time, but I feel like the haradi leaders feel more when it is "one of theirs", not a soldier or secular or other. I hope I am wrong and small minded to arrive at such a thought. Someone told me Fox news announced Moishe will be put in an orphanage??!!
23. WE LOST OUR DETERRENCE
trumpeldor ,   eurabia   (12.02.08)
We must restore it NOW I cry for these innocent souls but if jews remain apathic, these devil monsters will act again
24. non sense
greg ,   tel aviv   (12.02.08)
I was there - I heard, and ALL rabbis thanked Sandra proficiously. SO LET IT BE SAID ONCE FOR ALL - There is NO speaker there that did not thank her, and count her as a new full member of our nation. Why Sarah do you need to add false criticism to a painful day? Is there a problem with you ? Do you need help ? Are you suffering? I was there - heard - Will you now call me a lier ? If you are to post a response, it should come as an apology
25. sad day :(
peeri   (12.02.08)
26. Avenge
Mary ,   USA   (12.02.08)
May the Lord Avenge their blood which cries out from the ground.
27. Paying last respects to those
Avi   (12.02.08)
who served the Jewish people as a window to light in what would be places without Judaism. May they rest in peace. May the little Moshe continue on the path and the work that his parents set out for him. He has many people, among them the caregiver as good solid examples as to what it is to be an exemplary human being carrying out G-d's work.
28. Media and Murderers
Mary ,   USA   (12.02.08)
#21, The Media I watch gives them the title, Islamic Fascist Militants and Muslim Terrorists, Muslim extremist militants, etc. Not all western media is gracious to these murderers. Not many western people have sympathy for their treatment either. This pre-meditated attack on Chabad House is what the murderers were after. Jews. Then westerners, Americans and Britons. These killers who are dead while they live hate both Jews and the Free West. My hope and prayer is for vengeance against all behind this.
29. Why?
Mary ,   USA   (12.02.08)
Rabbi asked why, and then also gave appropriate answer. "Why? Why? Jews who dedicated their life to God, to bringing more unity to the people of Israel and to spreading the word of the Torah in remote places." Unity to Israel and spreading Torah in even the remotest places.
30. May the families of all lost be strong
meg ,   Israel   (12.02.08)
and never know tragedy again. I haven't made any comment so far but now they are put to rest, my deepest heartfelt sympathies to them all. May little Moishe grow within the love of his family and later learn of his wonderful parents who did so much good. They were struck down by a horror that is hard to contain, as were all that perished in this mass murder. Whether Jew or Gentile many mourn at this time, and we must think of them all. Our hearts go out to Sandra, so brave so resilliant, what an extrodianary human being she is, may life only bring her good things. G-d bless you Sandra and G-d keep you all strong.
