31. Chabad
meg ,   Israel   (12.02.08)
I am secular, but have deep feelings for our /Habad and all the good they do for our Jews abroad. My son travelled the far east and India and I was so happy that he could celebrate holidays and some sabbats with them. They are good people who never take, just give.
32. To Sarah and Ilana and other hate rumor spreaders
m   (12.02.08)
First Ilana, do you always believe what you hear on the media? The media also described the victims as 'missionaries", about Moishe, no Jewish observing family in this world would put their little one in the orphanage, especially when they care for children with special needs. This is such a malicious and vicious slander that it took my breath away.
33. The American grandparents should go to court to get Moshe...
(12.02.08)
The child should not be sent back to that hell hole where his parents were tortured and slaughtered in front of him before Sandra Samuels escaped with the child.
34. And protect the people in Peace House too... they are also
Rivka ,   Jerusalem Israel   (12.02.08)
Emmisaries of peace and truth. G-d bless Moishi.
35. Moishi
Harshad ,   Pune, India   (12.02.08)
I am writing to express condolences on behalf of my country. It's been a terrible ordeal for all of us. We pray for Moishi, and for his well being. May the souls of all departed rest in peace.
36. To All
Mike   (12.02.08)
Now the israelis should know the feeling of killing innocent people. That is a one time feeling when the Palestinians are living in sorrow daily.
37. #2
Yaara ,   Tel Aviv   (12.02.08)
It isn't fair to blame ALL "the followers of muhammad," Yaakov. I work in an office with Muslims, Jews, and Christians, and the Muslims were saddened and angry about these deaths too. One said "There is nothing in our religion that can ever justify the killing of innocents!" and spoke of how furious and sad she is when extremists use her religion as an excuse to do evil. Blaming all Muslims for this terrible tragedy only makes things worse.
38. Sarah and Ilana, just go away...
Etoile ,   Montreal, Canada   (12.02.08)
You are not welcome here if you choose this talkback section to spew venom and hate-filled rumors. Please, just let the rest of us mourn in peace.
39. No response to #36, Mike
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (12.02.08)
I will not dignify such evil with any response but I will say that one reading TB #36 would come to think that there are no moderators to these things. This, however, is not true as so many times my posts have been stricken due to non-conformity with leftist secular propoganda.
40. #36 Palestinian suffering is entirely self-inflicted
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (12.02.08)
"Living in sorrow"? Give me a freaking break. These are people who rejoice in the blood of innocents and make up claims of "victimhood" in order to justify more atrocities.
41. #37 "blaming all Muslims"
Aviva ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.02.08)
Muslims are not doing enough to educate their fellow Muslims that random murder and butchery is "un-Islamic."
42. where is your comment IMAM KARADAOUI?!!
Safia ,   Algeria   (12.02.08)
What does it mean this silence,imam?...do you agree with those fanats?..do you support them to kill ,threat, the non muslim?..i hope not,..tell those cannibals, who kill in the name of Islam innocent people , they should be punished with severity, because as we know,we NORMAL muslims,we respect any shape of life ,on earth..my prayers to all the victims of the blind terror.... Shalom..
43. # 37, Yaara
yaakov ,   Yerushalayim IL   (12.02.08)
Yaara, mami, i used to hold very much the same opinion as you but now i have come to a different conclusion considering how many years of islamic terrorism have gone by without a peep from the people who actually shape islamic thought and policy (not your very nice, liberal, "culturally muslim" workmate) - the imams, the ulema, the universities, NGOs, governments and prominent people of the islamic nations and so on. muslims who live and work with israeli jews are considered traitors and mushrikuun (apostates) by the large part of arab-islamic opinion. i personally feel a deep affection and admiration for arab-israelis who participate and contribute to the culture and society of this country. i wrote my talkback when i was feeling sheer disbelief and confusion, not even anger, and still what seems to me more unfair than blaming "the followers of muhammad" (which is how they describe themselves) is murdering innocent human beings in the name of Allah and muhammad. once you consider how the armies of muhammad have behaved toward our people since the 7th century (with the possible exception of Salahuddin) you may reach the conclusion that the islamic religion is innately antagonistic to others, and particularly judaism. i do understand the point you're trying to make, i'm sure you're a lovely person and i find your willingness to give people the benefit of the doubt sweet, but naive - dangerously so at this time. i certainly don't believe that this is how all muslims behave, but the ones who take their religion seriously seem to be overrepresented in the statistics of fanatical antisemitic/anti-everything/nihilistic mass murderers. it sounds pat, but my closest friend is a yemenite muslim, however, he informed me that he was taught from the time he was in kindergarten to hate HATE jews. he now lives in the free world and his level of islam extends to not eating pork products (which is about my observance of judaism). when i knew him (i moved to israel only recently) we would often enjoy a beer, wine or whisky together, and all the other benefits a free, liberal, NON-ISLAMIC society has to offer.
44. Condolences
Neil ,   India   (12.02.08)
Hi all, I am from India & I would like to offer my most deepest, sincer condolences for all the people who died from Israel in Mumbai especially Moshe's parents. Israel has been a really good friend of India since the last ten years or so. I just wish to tell you that we both face the same problems i.e. of Islamic terrorists. I hope God will be with both of our contries & we will be able to resolve this problem. With regards, Your friend from India.
45. Evil & Stupidity go hand in hand
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (12.02.08)
The EVIL ones committed this hideous crime and the STUPID ones like #36 attempt to make excuses for it.
46. QUESTIONS aren't allowed??
Ilana   (12.02.08)
note that I was asking questions to find the truth!!! Not spreading rumor. Is it unacceptable to ask? It seems that some are ready to strike out so fast that one cannot even voice herself? Hate spewer? nO, rumour spreader? NO! I feel completely insulted and angry-what's wrong with you all???? geez!
47. revenge is mine, saith the lord
andy ,   uk   (12.02.08)
Eventually, it surely will be. But perhaps Mossad ought to be looking to giving a little helping hand as it did after the Olympics Massacre? Mossad should systematically seek out and destroy the heads of this sick group who carried this attack out, wherever in the world they may be. Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey.
48. #36
Menachem   (12.02.08)
yep that justifies our pain......all better now shame you were'nt blown to smitheriens to give us the one time feeling of innocent people being killed. NUTTER
49. #46 You were quite correct in your previous reply when you
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (12.02.08)
wondered whether or not this was the proper time and place. It wasn't. What it ended up looking like was "Look at those Haredim, doesn't it look like they only care for their own?" In itself, a rather familiar anti-Haredi, and generally anti-Jewish stereotype? We could endlessly discuss the sense of community, how strong the general Jewish, specific Jewish Israeli, and even more specific of Hassidic Jews is... The short answer I would give is that generally the ultra-Orthodox religious leaders care for all Jews of all stripes (it's a central aspect of Judaism and Jewish identity - that sense of community and shared mutual responsibility is why the ultra-Orthodox run 80% common-level charity organizations, and why Chabadniks set up all those Chabad Houses across the world). But at the same time, the leaders of small communities (such as Chassidic groups) have a more special relationship with them. Hence the way Chabad Rabbis worldwide reacted when "one of their own" was brutally murdered. Community structure and belonging is a difficult concept to pin down, and often far too easy to oversimplify.
50. to # 10
Birdi ,   Tel Aviv   (12.02.08)
Sarah you are correct, but, Simon Peres as Preseident of Israel, represents the entire Israeli people. (The House of Israel)
51. Enough already!! Mobilize against Islamic Terror.
Efroim ,   Washington DC   (12.02.08)
West must work together with allies to destroy Radical Islamic enemies. Be they in Iran, Lebanon or elsewhere. We have to show them who is boss. They only understand the language of force. The will shiver in their boots. Amen.
52. Attack the Islamic terrorisys before it gets worse.
Peter ,   Berlin, Germany   (12.02.08)
Let us begin cleaning up this world and ridding ourselves of the Islamic Pest. May the be light upon the good people of our universe.
53. Do what Golda did
Brod ,   USA   (12.03.08)
in the 1970s in going after the killers. This is called justice.
54. hashem is definitly talking to us
yoly ,   israel   (12.03.08)
i am i bucher and i am old 19 years and my heart is tearing apart since last week friday i think that hashem wants something i dont no what but i think that evrybody should take a kabulah on him self............
55. Ilana
Queen of Sheba ,   New York   (12.03.08)
Fox News NEVER said ANYTHING about this baby being put into an orphanage! I'm surprised that a smart woman such as yourself would believe such nonsense and not bother to check it out for yourself before spreading such silliness. A quick search of the Fox News site will explain that Moshe's grand-uncle is the founder of Migdal Or. That's where the misunderstanding started. Let's let it end here.
56. #55 This Ilana Thing
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.03.08)
Is a troll.
57. To 36
Anon ,   Jozi   (12.03.08)
The Pal suffer every day because they refuse peace and have zero value for life. only an uneducated loser such as yourself would write a comment like that here, today PS, Mike, your name is Mohammed anyways. take care
58. Advancing peace
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach, USA   (12.03.08)
It would do the Chabad community in Israel and worldwide, and Israel, and the cause of peace, some good, if Chabad were to include the 34 pregnant women who died at Israeli checkpoints in 2001-2002 because soldiers would not let them through to get to the hospital in their moments of dire need.
59. CNN reported that Moshe would be raised in an orphanage.
Palestiniansareamyth ,   USA   (12.03.08)
I saw the report and felt even worse for this beautiful and precious child. Moshe needs to be raised with a mother and father and hopefully a married aunt and uncle will raise this child as their own. I pray for Moshe everyday and hope that he has a happy and long life even though the pain of losing his parents will never go away.
60. Where's the moderate Muslim condemnation?
Palestiniansareamyth ,   USA   (12.03.08)
I try to be tolerant of all religions and cultures but I've had it with Islam. It's a religion of violence and terror and all the good people of the world need to realize it before it'stoo late!
