Clinton can go. Back when she was appointed, I said watch for Obama to take steps to diminish her authority and work around her. Maybe this is step number one. Ross and Kurtzer are unfortunately tainted because of their past diplomatic associations, and won't be seen as fair and balanced. Ross in particular showed a bias that destroyed negotiations between Barak and Assad the father. You can read this in Clayton Swisher's book about Camp David and the Geneva meetings that preceded it. The trouble with Powell is that he's a military man too used to taking orders and obeying without question. This position needs somebody who will be assertive and questioning.
