Holland cit. ,   Amsterdam   (12.16.08)
Geert Wilders is a liar and some 1 who loves war and making / creating war. He's a racist, and in Holland 15.5 milion people hate him only 500.000 (farmers and other racists) love him and vote for him.
32. Geert Wilders visit to Israel
Les Cherow ,   Phoenix, USA   (12.17.08)
How can anyone close their eyes to the inherent violent nature of Islam? Geert Wilders is certainly right on although he is a lonely voice crying out in the wilderness of self delusion. We, in the West, will lose all we have become unless, and until, we awaken from our slumber.and choose to confront the evil reality that is found in Islam. The question boils down to...how many more 9/11's, Mumbais, etc., etc. will it take before we begin toi fight back against those that seek our destruction?
33. #10 and #24 your posts are rather pointless.
Tahl ,   Israel   (12.17.08)
Your lame attempts of trying to find similar xenophobia in the Torah or Talmud would get you nowhere. I'm not a scholar and neither are you, but it is common knowledge that the Torah and Talmud don't teach Jews to hate others - only to protect themselves from those trying to annihilate them. And they certainly don't call people of other religions, as apes and pigs. Actually the Torah is full of stories of fruitful cooperation between Jews and non-Jews. And on the bottom line - I've never heard of a single Jew who waged war in the name of Judaism, yelling the Hebrew equivalent of "Allahu Akbar!" And let's look at the statistics: how many people died for the honor of Judaism, and how many for the honor of Islam? Which religion makes up 96% of the world's terrorists? If the best rebuttals that both of you can give me have to do with biblical times (including that "genocide" crap), then save all of us the trouble. After all history is relative to the times. While the Torah and Talmud were written, the Jews were more progressive than most of the non-Jewish world (who was mostly still primitive and barbaric), and have been progressing immensely ever since. And the harsh reality today is that Islam is the only religion which poses a grave menace to the world, and if you fail to see that then you got your head stuck very deep in the sandbox.
34. Only one Islam
Abdul Ameer ,   Chicago, USA   (12.17.08)
Geert Wilders is absolutely correct when he says: "I don’t believe there is a moderate Islam and I don’t believe there is a European Islam. I believe there is only one Islam, which is the Islam of the book of the Koran,..." Many people are confused about this. They see "moderate Moslems", and they think that these people practice a "moderate Islam". Not true. They are moderate in their behavior because they deviate from standard Islam. Islam is a belief system, and it is based on the Koran and the sayings of Muhammad. There is little significant variation in Islamic theology, as regards relationships with the non-Moslem world. The difference that we observe are differences in practice, whereby the moderate forms of practice are really nothing more than silent disobedience to the requirements of Islamic ideology. This is crucial because Islamic ideology and theology, based on the Koran and Muhammad, will always be a source of Islamic extremism in practice. It will always be a menace to the non-Moslem world, even if many or most Moslems do not follow it. Even the moderate Moslems in practice will never speak out about the Koranic verses and hadith which require violence and intolerance toward non-Moslems.
35. Which Islam?
Eric ,   Canada   (12.17.08)
I personally find Mr. Wilders to be something of a racist, but he does raise a good question: Which Islam? The Islam by which millions live peacefully within Isreal, the West and Europe or the Islam which gives approval to such atrocities as Mumbai, schoolgirls being doused with acid, etc. It is patently absurd to brand them one and the same.

First of all, the word isn't syncophants, it's sycophants. Apparently your grasp of English vocabulary is as tenuous as your knowledge of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. And, as far as that biblical crap is concerned, it has nothing to do with the present day realities or the fact that Israel faces an ongoing existential threat from your "peaceful" Muslims.
37. To #30
Jordan ,   Washington, DC   (12.17.08)
"Plus when the prophet Muhammad had the quran revealed to him did he take his sword and fight the whole arabian peninsular ???? Think" Ok, let's think... YES actually he did pick up the sword and not only fight the whole arabian peninsula but the entire Middle East, North Africa and Spain! In the Arabian Peninsula alone Muhammad murdered all of the Jews who would not "convert" to his preachings. The whole spread is based on murder. It was a 'join us or die" mentality and today it's a "leave us and die" mentality. Your penalty for someone changing their belief is DEATH. How can you possibly claim to be peaceful and understanding.
38. To Sarfati #29. Muslimas like you SHOULD speak up.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (12.18.08)
You say :” Islam has to operate by itself its mutation toward modernity, just as Christianity, and more before, Judaism did.” YES, the change within Islam has to come from the inside. Muslimas like you should speak up when women are to be stoned-to-death, when raped girls/women get convicted (while the rapists men go unpunished), when homosexuals get hanged for the simple reason of being gay, when bloggers from Arab/Muslim countries are put in jail for the simple reason of just presenting their (peaceful) arguments. AS you have noted, Islam has a long way to go toward modernity. BUT if more Muslimas like you would speak up (in your neighbourhood Mosque, in your community centre, in your schools, on internet platforms) -- that change could come quicker. IT is up to you to help your Muslim brothers/sisters change their DESTRUCTIVE mindset. (BTW destructive behaviour comes WHEN one doesn’t understand this physical created world, WHEN one doesn’t understand ALLAH (i.e. the Supreme Lord), WHEN one doesn’t know his own origin to be spiritual in nature, and WHEN one doesn’t understand the relationship between those three.)

Religions are just a belief. Some people will only call it "made up nonsence". As far as I am concerned everyone can believe what he wants, but they should stay out of other peoples lives. It's the interpretation end acts by the people practicing a religion that has to be weighed. Salafist/Wahabi Islamists in Western countries want to use democracy to gain power and once they have that, they will end democracy. In that respect they are not different to nazi's. They are two sides of the same coin. The koran demands and sanctions any murder, deceit, lie etc. to attain the ultimate goals. You should judge them for the acts and intentions of the worst ones, because the "good ones" let them get away with their crap. Remember: only 13 people were at Wannsee, but still their plan was executed, because their people let them.
40. Reply to Sarfati
Ikke ,   Netherlands   (12.19.08)
Yes great thinking Sarfati, let them evolve into "modernity". However, shouldn't they best do that in their own countries? We are quite satisfied with what we have achieved so far, so we don't need their help. They would better spend their energy on improving the crappy dump Muslim countries where they come from.. But if you ask me, they are evolving in the wrong direction and the daily death toll all over the world proves the point.
41. Reply to Rollo 1
Ikke ,   Netherlands   (12.21.08)
Hey Rollo, you sound like one of these real fruitcakes they have in Canada and the US. What we practice in Holland is called democracy and a segregation of state and religion. So occasionally we will decide on something which is not necessarily considered responsible from a "religious" viewpoint. But guess what? The majority rules. And since when are Muslims anti-euthanasia? In the stricter Muslim states they commit euthanasia on a continuous basis on gays, lesbians and women who take the liberty to think what they want (cheeky). No wonder they get nothing done, they are using their building cranes all the time to hang people in the town square. And these people are not even terminally gay or cheeky. And now about the islamisation: for a natural born Dutchman who has met someone outside the EU whom he or she would want to marry, it is very, very hard to get that person into the country if you play it by the rules. On the other hand Moroccans and Turks use every gap in the law and all sorts of tricks to import 15.000 brides and grooms every year. They are just ellbowing their way in and out of "political correctness" politicians force us to pay the bill. Espacially the brides from Marocco may be tricky. Apparantly prostitution is on the rise in Marocco, I read something recently saying it's becoming a second Thailand and before you know it, you are importing truckloads of (ex) whores. Parallel with them they import imams preaching hell and damnation on all of us westerners and who want to start straightening us out by throwing all gays from appartment buildings. I think they should start with the politicians first. Then we can all have a good laugh at least, before it's out turn. So shove your petty opinion where the sun doesn't shine.
42. correction to the article
zen ,   The Netherlands   (12.27.08)
One correction to how the film Fitna was received in The Netherlands: our muslim community reacted quite calmly and most merely shrugged their shoulders at the idiot that is wilders. Fortunately he only represents a small percentage of the Dutch electorate (the uneducated part). I am really surprised at the reactions to this article. I don't really see how promoting discrimination and even violence against people can ever be condoned, regardless of who they are and where they come from. Religion is a human invention and for wilders to say he doesn't judge the people, but only their ideas is a distinction that can only exist in theory. What he means to say is that he won't mind their skincolor as long as they give up their religion. Did I mention his "democratic" party doesn't allow members..you have to be hand-selected to become part of his posse.
43. I'm shocked
(01.04.09)
I love this site to get information on Israel, but I'm rather shocked and disgusted that you would give so much space to this guy. I totally agree with what Dror said below, 100 years ago very similar things were said about Jews.
44. Proof that this is a racist site
(01.05.09)
Rarely are more racist and bigoted articles and pieces published than on this site; it is a monument to racism and bigotry and a disgrace and shame to all decent people
