1. Falk vs. Gestopo
CIA ,   NYC   (12.15.08)
Falk's hatred towards his Jewish brethren makes the Gestapo look like angels. Most of the Gestapo caved in under the threat of death, Falk on the other hand is doing it on his own. What a Scum, lock him up and through away the key!
2. Falk must be filled with such self-haterd
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (12.15.08)
3. shame / guilt
Invicta ,   Europa   (12.15.08)
last month journalists were prevented from entering Gaza, then Arab Parliamentarians were stopped entering Gaza, Protestors are reguarly rounded up and prevented from entering and now UN representatives are prevented form entering Gaza. Anyone would think israel has something shameful to hide.
4. What are you hiding?
Richard ,   London, UK   (12.15.08)
In a press statement the UN explained that the job of Falk is to monitor the human rights situation in Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, and the Israeli violations of international law and international humanitarian law. Most recently Falk said that discussion was needed regarding trying Israeli leaders in the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. When he and his entourage arrived at the Israeli Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv on Sunday afternoon, the Israeli authorities detained Professor Falk and said he would be held for three days in the Department of Immigration at the airport awaiting deportation to Geneva today. The UN press statement read in part that Israeli authorities knew exactly who Falk was when he was detained for deportation: a 78 year old United States citizen, a Jew, and a United Nations employee appointed by the Human Rights Council to monitor the situation. Israel has refused to accept the decisions of the Human Rights Council and has refused cooperation to facilitate the task of special rapporteurs and other mandate holders to visit the occupied Palestinian territory. Israel has a long history of refusing to honor United Nations resolutions. The Special Committee on the Status of Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territory and other occupied Arab territories, such as the Golan Heights, has not had any other visits to Palestine until this point because of the ongoing Israeli refusal.
5. David vs. Goliath

6. Well, nice job for a change.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.15.08)
You can imagine how bad this guy is if even our usually compliant Foreign Ministry won't let him in. This should be the beginning of a new policy - anyone with anti-Israel views should be denied entry. This includes anyone from the UN, any diplomats, morons like Dhimmi Carter, NGO's & peace activists, and even American Mid-East advisers like Dennis Ross. Hell, I'd even deny entry to Tony Blair. We don't have to cooperate in our own demise. Playing hardball has definite advantages.
7. Good to see something constructive being done.....
(12.15.08)
.....to combat the clearly biased anti-Israel campaign using the UN as a cloak of legitimacy. KICK THE BASTARD OUT!

9. Finally upholding civil rights, keep that self-hater out
David ,   Boston, USA   (12.15.08)
Freedom of speech has limits when it supports terrorism and racists. Freedom isnt free. There must be safeguards. Keep the terrorist supporter out!
10. #4, Richard, we hide the fact the world is anti-semitic
David ,   Boston, USA   (12.15.08)
and refuses to deal with it. That Hamas is a genocidal organization. That there is no Arab Palestine other than Jordan and never should. We hide that the Gazans are guilty of war crimes against Sderot and other seam communities. England hides that it systematically removed every Jews from Jordan Palestine and Judea and Samaria during the 20s, took Jewish land and gave it all to the Arabs as appeasement. What else is England hiding? When will you stop hiding the truth?
11. No more UN in Israel...bad move!
Ediathann ,   USA   (12.15.08)
What happens the next time Israel gets itself stuck in a situation like Lebanon again..who'll they call to get them out? TATA
12. If there is nothing to be ashamed of let everyone in!
Richard ,   London UK   (12.15.08)
On Wednesday (last) the United Nations said the possibility should be discussed of indicting Israeli leaders for war crimes in the International Criminal Court. On the occasion of the UN Human Rights Day, the Special Rapporteur on the issue, Richard Falk, said that the blockade imposed by Israel on the Gaza Strip is a serious violation of international humanitarian law. Falk said today that Israel does not allow the introduction of enough food to avoid starvation and the outbreak of disease. He called for immediate action to alleviate the humanitarian disaster in the Strip while noting that “such collective punishment is tantamount to a crime against humanity and an indictment in the International Criminal Court of the leaders of Israel must be discussed.” During 35 days of complete closure after 18 months of siege, the Israeli administration has lifted the ban on a limited amount of aid just five times. The United Nations Relief Works Agency told PNN that the situation is a disaster and that its operations are severely stunted, if not halted. Due to conditions of the siege, 80 percent of the Gaza Strip’s population now relies on some type of aid. The UN Secretary General has appealed to the Israeli administration but to little affect. When being criticized, Israel routinely comments that the United Nations is “unbalanced.”
13. Fairness of the Human Rights Council.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (12.15.08)
60% of all Council resolutions and decisions critical of human rights protection in a specific state have been directed at Israel alone, while only four other UN states have been criticized at all. Eye on the UN praised the US for refraining from taking part in the council until it begins to be run fairly. “Clearly, the United States has made the right decision to stay off the Council and to refuse to lend it the credibility it does not deserve,” Eye on the UN Senior Editor Anne Bayefsky said. “Congressional efforts to end U.S. funding for the Council are a move in the right direction.” To know more : http://xrl.us/bmm2v
14. Good work its about time!
Yisraeli ,   Israel   (12.15.08)
Oh, and Richard from Londistan should get off his but and go help his "friends" in Gaza...just remember what happened to the hamas loving BBC reporter, Alan Johnston... I guess your friends like to play a little rough. Israel is doing ilk like falk and yourself a favor by keeping moonbats like you out of harms way... you should thank them,
15. 4 - explain all of the arab reporters roaming israel
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (12.15.08)
or are they mossad agents broadcasting their talking points to fool the world? very intelligent, and that's typically what we've come to expect from you.
16. Is this what you are hiding?
Richard ,   London UK   (12.15.08)
Children make up 56 percent of Gaza's population, and credible reports of stunting are emerging. According to Karen AbuZayd, commissioner-general of UN agency: "There is a chronic anemia problem. There are signs that's increasing. What we are beginning to notice is what we call stunting of children, which means they are not eating well enough to be bigger than their parents." This collective punishment is illegal under international law. Article 55 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, for example, states that "to the fullest extent of the means available to it, the Occupying Power has the duty of ensuring the food and medical supplies of the population; it should, in particular, bring in the necessary foodstuffs, medical stores and other articles if the resources of the occupied territory are inadequate."
17. #3 REAL shame and guilt!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (12.15.08)
Any country has the right to declare "persona non grata" - just count the persons which are not granted entry in OTHER countries. You may find that Israel is almost SUICIDAL in allowing its enemies to entry its territory. It is a BLESSING that somebody at the Foreign Ministry finally decided that enough-is-enough and that we should have the self-respect and dignity to show the door to all those who have the nerve to come into our home and spit on us. Now let's examine how many times the Palestinians have ABDUCTED journalists, threatened to kill them if they don't hand over "embarassing material" (like the Ramallah lynch or handing our sweets after 9/11) and how many times they have prevented journalists to enter Gaza and the West Bank. Palestinians KNOW that they have A LOT to hide. "Invicta" - take your Islamo-Leftist garbage to Haaretz. People there will just LOVE you and your trash.
18. #4 What are YOU hiding?
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (12.15.08)
Richard, nobody hides anything. When the monkeys-run UN will have the dignity to send an unbiased "reporter" it will find our doors wide-open. But for as long as the only "investigators" it finds are under Islamo-Leftist payroll, they will find that we will implement our natural right to throw out anybody who comes into our home with the intention of spitting us in the face. And of course the so called "Special Commitee on the Status of Human Rights" is just another incarnation of the defunct Human Rights Comittee which was dismantled following numerous scandals which forced the UN to admit that the HRC had a hidden agenda (of unilaterally bashing Israel). So no - we have nothing to hide, but you Richard have an ugly face to hide. The face of racism and support for terrorism. Your place too is with the Haaretz forums - not here.
19. Palmor is to be commended
Laura ,   Israel   (12.15.08)
He absolutely did the right thing. The UN is a major player in anti-Israel incitement and activity. There's no good reason at all to welcome repulsive bigots like Falk here.
20. 4#,Richard in London, you do not understand the Golan
Judah ,   Golan Heights,iSRAEL   (12.15.08)
Today I went to a rally in Kastrin which is the largest city in the Golan. Lieberman who is a right winger was there giving a speech. Not only were there Jewish residents of the Golan attending but also a good number of Druze. I spoke to a few Druze men that I recognized from Bukata where I go to pick cherries in the spring. They told me that 90% of their relatives want a right wing party such as Lieberman or Likud to win because they do not want the Golan to be given to Syria. Richard, you live in London, England and you have zero understanding of the Golan or its inhabitants.
21. UN bared
DT ,   TA Isr   (12.15.08)
Good for Israel. ow it should ban the rest of the UN, withdraw from and organiztaion of phenominal anti semites.
22. Because of "Israel as Nazi" remarks? What about this gov't
Marcella   (12.15.08)
that often accuses Jews of perpetrating "pogroms" against the peaceful and law-abiding Arabs? What about the time when an Arab stabbed a child in Yitzhar, set fire to a building, and when he escaped and was followed by the Jews, the Jews were accused of a pogrom just because they broke a few windows but injured no one? And what about the Arab attack on Akko which the (mostly Arab) police allowed to go on undisturbed for hours? When the Jews reacted to the Arab attack (a real pogrom that one), the Jews defending themselves were accused by the government of perpetrating a pogrom on the rampaging Arabs. The government plays fast and loose with terminology that compares Jews and Nazis. So why the double standard? Falk and others compare Israelis to the Nazis. That is reprehensible. But the same standard should exist in Israel. And what about the many Arabs who compare the Israelis to Nazis. That is allowed, I understand. By the way, the government is not one bit disturbed by a Nazi flag flying near Hebron. The IDF commanders so far have not ordered its removal despite many requests by soldiers and residents. "IDF commanders have yet to respond to repeated requests by soldiers for equipment to remove a Nazi flag from an electric cable next to an army "pillbox." "Despite soldiers' requests to their company officer for assistance in getting someone to remove the offensive flag, however, nothing was done "The bright red, white and black Nazi flag with its classic swastika insignia was discovered by IDF soldiers two days ago, hanging on an electric wire close to an army guard post near the Palestinian Authority-controlled village of Beit Omar. 23. #12 - We let in only HONEST reporters and INSPECTORS!
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (12.15.08)
.. not the racist scum which frequents the media and monkey-run UN. Save your breath Richard - nobody is reading your lengthy rants and "documents". You are cutting and pasting propaganda material. You're not even trying to be original! What a pathetic prick!
24. #4 Richard - Israel is not hiding
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (12.15.08)
How would you as a resident of London like a UN rep coming to Northern Ireland to investigate British violations of the Human Rights of the Irish of Norther Ireland during the height of IRA bombings?
25. Falk, Self-hating Jew
GloomBoom.com ,   Nashville, TN, USA   (12.15.08)
This is the solution. Don't let him in!!
26. He was warned beforehand he wouldn't be allowed in.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (12.15.08)
It's already been reported that Falk was advised in advanced that he wouldn't be allowed in. He chose to come in anyway. Good riddance to him. It seems every article about Falk finds it necessary to tell the reader he is "Jewish". Putting aside just how Jewish he is, it serves only to remind us that "Jews" often work against Jewish interests. Something to consider when Obama sends "Jewish" envoys to push for more Israeli concessions.
27. #17
Invicta ,   Europa   (12.15.08)
If, as you write, the Palestinians have so much to hide then surely it is in Israel's interest to open up the occupied territories and let observers in. That way they can see all the 'crimes' the Palestinians are committing. Indeed, the Palestinians are constantly calling for independent UN and EU (and even US) observors to be permitted to observe the checkpoints etc. But Israel has ALWAYS refused. Why? Because then even more people would see the shootings, beatings and endless Apartheid treatment that the Palestinians are subjected to. And now tPalestinians are being starved to death. Nice.
28. Good job
smith   (12.15.08)
Get out Falk!!!!!!! Israel should denies entry to all UN rights investigator Falk is jewish? What the rabbi are waiting to excommunicating (Cherem) him?
29. Mazel Tov
Douglas Miller ,   Detroit, USA   (12.15.08)
Good-bye and good riddance to Richard Falk. Finally a little back-bone and self-respect from the government of Israe. Richard Falk may have been born Jewish but as the head of the UNHRC he has turned into a virulent anti-Semite. He does not deserve to set foot on the holy soil of Israel, a land he so malignantly detests. It's good news that he has been sent away, the bad news is that Olmert, Livni and Barak didn't leave with him
30. #26
Invicta ,   Europa   (12.15.08)
But who are you to say what is in Jew's interest? Surely Mr Falk has a legitimate right to observe and profess his view. If you ban him then you are no better than any totalitarian regime. As has been asked several times. What do you have to hide? (and also if Gaza isn't 'occupied' why dose israel decide who eneters or leaves?)
