6. FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT OF THE JEWS TO THE LAND
Tom ,   San Francisco, USA   (12.20.08)
Thank you end up in a party who loves the land of Israel! It is a rare feat for a journalist at the Ynet, as normally you would have been more likely to end up being Labour or Meretz. Never give up on the right of the Jewish people on all the land of Israel. Don't buy the "peace for land" Utopias! German lost territories after WWII. The same should apply to the Arab countries that fought against Israel. The solution is not to move Jews out of their land because Muslims have invaded it (at the Ottoman census, the entire Palestine was nearly completely empty of inhabitants!). It is to do what the Muslims did to the Jews and show the Muslims the door out of ... the land of Israel. All the best to you Orbach and to your party.
7. Secular Jews should learn and follow.
Jewish Refugee ,   U.S.A.   (12.20.08)
Here is a great example, how secular Jews finally understand and find the way to the truth. That we are Jews and we represent Judaism. Not mataterial world of illsions. Good Luck Uri Orbach. I hope you post this. Please Join at: http://israelactnow.blogspot.com/ I really wish that people could comment, submit their own articles to be posted. After all we all want the safety and wholeness of Israel.

mishehu   (12.20.08)
so what makes you think your guarenteed a seat in the Knesset? Im not sure what spot your placed in but 'Bayit Hayehudi' looks bit iffy and its birth may be dare I say it still born? I am hard rightists but will never vote for small minor parties that can do absolutely nothing other then try by begging to be part of someone elses coalition. For me only the Likud and through Manhigut Yehudit faction of Moshe Feiglin makes any sense to me. Nevertheless B'Hatzlacha.

24.  I am already afraid!
Tweety and Piglet ,   USA   (12.21.08)
The correct original definition of " involvement/commitment" is ham and eggs: The chicken is involved, the pig is committed. Any future or aspiring Israeli politician who is afraid even to mention the non-kosher animal :-) is already suspect in my eyes.
25. A new idea - build the the Galil!
Karen R ,   USA   (12.21.08)
One thing you could do that would be very, very constructive - get the national religious folks to realize that _inside_ the Green Line is also Israel. Building the land doesn't just mean throwing up outposts. There are whole areas of the country that could still be developed. The Galil is one of them. Why are there so few Jews living in the Galil compared to Arabs? Is the Galil second-class because it's already "ours?" Is there no glamor to be had in defying the establishment by settling there? I lived there - would live there if I came back - and it's beautiful. Meron, Tsfat, Tiveriah, Har Gilboa - why not settle there? Building the land - why does it have to be something showy - to get footage from the television cameras? There is history in the Galil too - and a future to build.
26. Not to worry, Orbach will be back shortly
Y ,   Nitzan   (12.21.08)
Not to worry Orbach fans - he'll be back soon as he's number 5 on the Jewish Home party - not a safe position. Religious zionists are abandoning the party in droves as the centrist, Jewish-arab coexistence political views of its leaders becomes known. I doubt the party will even pass the voter threshold.
27. #25 Come and simply do it
golani   (12.21.08)
So many useful hints... giborim mamash...from afar .. amazing.
28. The best Yedioth Columnist will be missed !

Lenny ,   Carmiel, Israel   (12.21.08)
30. 22 Why?
Talula ,   Israel   (12.21.08)
Why are you so glad that he annoyed me so much? Am I not allowed to have my own opinions? If they are different to yours? Or are you simply not intelligent enough to annoy me yourself?
