1. No difference between kadima and labour
Arie ,   BaGolan   (12.20.08)
Both put power before security. They have both gone down the extreme left-wing road of appeasement and surrender, now attempting a U-turn in time for the elections. Once the elections are over, they will again return to sternhell road in leftist TA - dedicated to our demise and destruction!
2. kadima, livni and lies
Arie ,   BaGolan   (12.20.08)
If the members of kadima were so opposed to the appeasement policies, they could have withdrawn from the government and forced the issue of increased security for the residents of the Negev. Instead, livni began dating qurei, and olmert embraced the butcher of Munich abbas. Now, elections and imprisonment approach and ALL OF A SUDDEN, they seek scapegoats
3. YEARS OF ROCKETS, ELECTION ISSUE NOW?
Tony ,   New York, NY   (12.20.08)
Only an imbecile would believe what any MK said now. The entire Israeli government is the actual problem.. In any normal country the rulers with an IQ of over forty would have decimated any terrorist enclave that constantly shelled its citizens.
4. Not everyone loves everyone
Gideon Reader   (12.20.08)
Well Golly! THAT certainly appears to a fine reason to vote for the Kadimacrats, no? Look. The world for the most part loathes, dispises and reviles Israel as a separate and surviving national entity and Jews in general. They, the world, including the UK, the EU, the UN, and the political echleons of the USA, might as well respect you and your enemies fear you. Kick some serious palentinian butt, transport those who oppose you to the Jordan or lebanon or Egyptian borders; booting their sorry asses over the line and if someone does not like it, "effem." So they won't but tomatoes from Gush Katif any more. Note: There is no longer a Gush Katif, and certainly no tomatoes. man,...I can hear the Brit academics having a feces hemmohrrage, from here.
5. terrible situation but he's 100 % right

6. This is madness!
GloomBoom.com ,   Nashville, USA   (12.20.08)
Barak needs to do something NOW. How can a government just sit by and let these jokers shoot rockets?
7. Blaming the Victim. Political rape.
Gideon Reader   (12.20.08)
Don't blame poor Gilad. The poor bastard is living in an endless loop of horror and the polititurds of the current Israeli government are trying to find their own salvation through that torture. Justifications for inaction or poor actions are heaped on the helpless-hapless captive. "We are trying to deal". "We are NOT dealing". "He is in the line of fire". "We dont want to annoy the captors". "Vote for me/us/we are like you". "You would do the same". "Do nothing", "You know in your heart that is what you want".. That's the ticket. Pitiful. Just pitiful. Is that how Jews are to behave? I just do not think so.
8. I hate to say it,but Gilad is one soldier
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.20.08)
How many more will die, because we let the palis rearm and can now hit many of our cities? Time to say, we screwed up. We should have bombarded gaza on the day they attacked our soldiers and killed two and kidnapped Gilad. Who knows what physical and mental shape he is in, if alive? There should be no visits by pali prisoners' families or the red cross. Nothing for them, but the minimum amount of food and water to stay alive. If Gilad is not returned soon, then start to kill the pali prisoners in groups of one thousand per day. When Gilad is returned safe and sound, then cease killing them, if any are left alive. Keep them on a starvation diet permanently.
9. who desrves this land most us or the arabs
zionist forever   (12.21.08)
Livni, Olmert, Barak, Natanyahu non of them are the kind of leaders this country needs all a total waste of space and dont have two braincells to rub together between them. I am happy to pay taxes to finance the military & buy them all the latest toys so they can defend the country from its enemies. This government though is happy to spend my money to buy the weapons but they are unwilling to allow them to be used so why the hell am I paying taxes to fund a military which isnt used for anything except evicting jews from their homes? If this was 1967 we wouldn't have pre empted we would have waited and waited and while the enemy tanks were rolling down the streets of Tel Aviv and the government would be arguing amongst themselves on the best way to handle the problem .. do we do nothing and hope for the best, do we fight back, do we make a concesion if they will send their troops home We complain the arabs are attacking us but we are unwilling to fight back while the arabs are not only willing to fight but they are even willing to blow themselves up so they can win the war and take Israel for themselves. Considering the sacrifices they are willing to make and that we have the recources to defend ourselves and fght back but are unwilling to use them who DESERVES to have this country us or the arabs.
10. what will the policy be when a school is hit
zionist forever   (12.21.08)
Who will be taking blame when a school full of children is hit by a rocket? WIll we say do nothing because we dont want to endager Gilad Shalit or the peace process? Its only a matter of time before that DOES happen so far we have been lucky there has been no major casullties but do nothing your luck is going to run out eventualy and something catastrophic is going to happen. Stand in front of somebody shooting a gun you might not get hit by every bullet but one of them is going to hit you and when it does its going to hurt.
11. #8 Jews are different
Rina   (12.21.08)
We need to look at the big picture. Hopefully our conduct reflects our mission as a nation: to be a light unto the nations. We cannot act as they do, however hard it is for all.
