Olmert, Livni and Barak are laughing at the people of Israel! They are well protected and have their children outside Israel. They are plain pigs and should be treated like that. Yet now it needs "international legitimization" (aka "permission") to act? Moreover, "scaled response" to any terror attack belies Israel's earlier insistence it would retake the initiative. And targeting Islamic Jihad while avoiding Hamas just seems gutless. Finally, the need to get approval for any action from that feckless trio (Olmert, Livni and Barak) is a recipe for paralysis. It's obvious they want to look like they're doing something while actually not.

After the crimes against humanity of Hamas you need permission,legitimization ? How base Isral's leaders are. The translation of this term is ; Israel's leadership are more interested in begging for permission from the biased against Israel crooks of the West. our lack of International Public Relations. It's really REALLY bad! The powers that be are useless in getting across the message from the people in the south and Israel as a whole, to the four corners of the globe. Our international PR needs to be far more judicious and utterly relentless. We should be using shock tactics including graphic images – ALL THE TIME! We wouldn't have to justify ourselves or ask for ‘permission’ to launch an attack of Gaza if we did. People on the outside see Tel Avivian's parading down the promenade laughing and joking and think we all have it good - then they see the Palestinians, crying and hungry. They'll win the PR war hands down everytime. Someone is doing a very bad job in separating our angst and the constant existential threat and our need to carry on living normal lives.

Is Israel an independent state or not, if it needs to get permision from foreign government to take action to defend its citizens. If thats what independence means these days in israel then we dont deserve the country and we should give it to the arabs who want a country where they will make the rules and not go running to other countries to tell them what decisions they are or are not allowed to make. We all know the rest of the world loves the arabs and will take their side no mater what they do to us but we go running to them for permision to defend Israeli citizens from rocket attacks. What happens if permision isnt granted do we say to the residents of Sderot and Ashkelon sorry guys your just going to have to learn to live with daily rocket fire becase this government is not going to do anything to defed you. Will we wait for a ricket to land on a school or till they increase the range of the rockets even further and they hit a plane taking off from Ben Gurion Airport? The attitude of this regiime towards the security of Israeli citizens can be called criminal & Olmert, Livni & Barak should be standing trial for treason and occupying the cells that those terrorists that have been released as goodwill gestures used to stay in. I have alot more respect for even Hamas than I do this regime.

First the thinking is is that strong military action is basically a sin, and also one can easily envision mothers screaming over their children and such. Also all it takes is for one Pilot to get shot down and be kidnapped. Lastly they usually don't turn out the way that it is hoped. There has to be other ways of stopping such as permanent imprisionment or deportation of guilty parties or something involving technology.
