1. This war is not going to be another Kadima & Cia stunt
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (12.28.08)
before elections ONLY if Hamas is DEFEATED.DEFEATED!Once and for all! I only believe in this powerfull incursion if the result is DEFEAT!
2. i question the legality of not using artillery
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (12.28.08)
at least one can aim artillery, as opposed to shooting, say, something more "proportional" at the palestinians like some rockets back at them. in that light, artillery sounds pretty good to me.
3. War is a dirty business
J K ,   NYC, USA   (12.28.08)
I applaud the IDF efforts to avoid civilian deaths, but it not at the cost of the security of it's own civilians. Do it only if Hamas offers you no choice or continues to hide amongst the non-combatants. Again, the population voted them into power and they have tolerated everything Hamas has done. They are going to wind up paying for these stupidity sooner or later.
4. Does Hamas have a strict protocol when it launches qassams?
Jewish Refugee ,   U.S.A.   (12.28.08)
When we play Foot Ball we should play according to the Foot Ball rules. In other words we should not play Foot Ball with soft ball rules. I don't think that Hamas has any strict protocols but only one to destroy Israel. Join new portal where you can comment, contribute your own articles, become a member. 5. Artillery and tunnel blasting.
Bennie ,   Jerusalem   (12.28.08)
I lived in Ashkelon for several years, including a period when the IDF was firing artillery at Gaza. The IDF was limited to blasting sand dunes. Those dirty, rotten sand dunes didn't fire any more kassams after we got done with them. We really showed them. Of course, Hamas kept on shooting. Artillery going to just blast sand dunes again? Bombing tunnels without retaking the Philadelphi Corridor? Hamas will rebuild those tunnels within a week if IDF does not retake Philadelphi Corridor. IDF needs to do its job without interference .
6. Heavy artillery being brought in?
Cameron ,   USA   (12.28.08)
Hmmm Looks like the Israelis have finally had their fill of the Gaza bulls*** hour. rock 'n roll, baby
7. No IDF troops into Gaza, just artillery rounds.
David ,   Hartford USA   (12.28.08)
Let the bombs walk from the border south, as far as needed to quiet the Hamas rockets. Let all of Gaza live in basements if need be. Remove Hamas from the face of the earth. GO IDF! Scorched earth is Gaza at its best.
8. I suggest to transfer all Pals from Gaza to Sinai first
