What the general says is no doubt true, but if he ignores and rejects the whinings and pleadings of the UN and the EU aimed to weaken and eventually destroy Israel, then the prospect of a real and lasting peace is much more probable.
5.  what a joke

If the mighty IDF can't defeat small army like Hizbllah. Can't crash few hundreds armed and surrounded Hamas. How any sane person expect them to defeat Iran and it's huge power? is that how you recruit people to come to this country and provide them security and prosperity? or it's a death trap invitation?

Thanks for learning the lessons of lebanon ware. The iranian system of bunkers/russian/chinese guerilla tactics, susicide/IEDs/tunnels must be bypassed and death with by doing nothing more than lightenig in and out raids of small proportions and just let them rot. Intelligence can then advise the air force to seal all the tunnels and bunkers with bunkerbusters and other bombs so that the 15,000 hamas are buried alive in their new graves. Gazans who wear arab clothes, many are israeli informants who will be giving us information.
7. Well done. Now the civilians must do their part to protect
Rivkah   (12.30.08)
the soldiers. How? By praying and departing from sin so that God can protect them. Remember in the days of Joshua that he lost a battle because of the sin of one person: Achan. Isaiah chapter 3 describes the loss of mighty men in Judah's (Israel in the Middle East) war with enemies in these times. God cannot protect Jerusalem because of the flaunting of homosexuality, women with wanton eyes, and the cheating of the poor in Jerusalem. These things must be stopped at an individual level in Jerusalem, God's Holy Mountain so the Lord can protect Jerusalem. If these things are stopped in all of Israel, that will be a protection for the troops. This is the 3rd or 4th time I have written this in posts in recent days and none were printed that condemed flaunting homosexuality and wanton eyes of women and cheating the poor. God says these are the problems in Isaiah chapter 3 and the people need to know that.

Splendid work so far, but don't let your guard down, keep the pressure up 'til Hamas are terminated.
11. Indeed this restores some faith in the competency of the IDF

I still have some doubts as to its efficiency, but for now it deserves our praise.

you must realize that the IDF CAN do the job and COULD take out Iran, IF the so called "leaders" of Israel would ALLOW them. They are one of the BEST fighting forces IN THE WORLD and have the LIVING God that gave that land to them by the way, walking with them. DON'T ever under-estimate them! Besides, being from Canada, I wouldn't throw stones, if I were you.
13. Don´t stop now! Give them a K.O. punch

Hams is hiding underground in russian chinese designed gureila bunlkkers with IEDs and shaheeds and antitannk missiles. You've got to terrorize them, they don't care about damaged infrastructure. Start firing huge land rockets at them and take the money from their banks.

Indiscriminate plundering of Palestinian property by Jews [in 1948] was so common that it caused Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion to confide to his diary that he was 'bitterly surprised' by the 'mass robbery' in which all parts of the population participated. [...] Tom Segev reported: 'In Haifa, Jaffa and Jerusalem there were many civilians among the looters.' Another Israeli writer, Moshe Smilanky, reported: 'Individuals, groups and communities, men, women and children, all fell on the spoils. Doors, windows, lintels, brinks, roof-tiles, floor-tiles, junk and machine parts ...' Segev commented that Smilansky 'could have also added to the list toilet bowls, sinks, faucets and light bulbs.
