Looks like congregating persons with the most severe disabilities has an unplanned drawback in a War. Maybe the IDF should station enough troops there for a 60 second evacuation to the shelters for everyone instead of current government orders to staff to abandon them.

I am the mother of an Aspberger's Syndrome child and I remember all too well the trouble I had getting my son into the building's bomb shelter during the second Lebanon war(he was scared of the neighbors that he viewed as strangers. So what I did at first was have him sit far away from them, and then they talked to him one by one so as not to overwhelm him. When that didn't work I sent him to his grandparents house they have a safe room and he spent the rest of the war there happy and safe. So I know what you wonderful teachers and helpers are going through with your special needs charges, may GD bless all of you and may he protect all of you and your families at home as well!

I read this story about these handicapped people and their caregivers. It is indeed heart warming to hear caregivers who really care for those people they help each and every day. There are still people with a heart eventoday.
