12 Talkbacks for this article
1. The difference between here and the U.S.
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (12.31.08)
A pro-military demonstration on a U.S. campus would be impossible to hold!!
2. So who got arrested?
Tahl ,   Israel   (12.31.08)
It is not clear from the article, who got arrested - those rallying in support of Israel, or those leftists who oppose the operation? My common sense says the latter (what is there to riot about, if you show national solidarity?) - but it would be good if the article could clarify that.
3. i am not going to vote.
std ,   il   (12.31.08)
this war was waged to gain more votes. I can;t vote for people whose hands were stained with blood. I am not going to cast my vote. in addition they lied to us! why do the rockets still pound us?
4. Jews rise up & stop listening to UN and international commun
Shamil Benyaminov ,   NYC, Brooklyn   (12.31.08)
Jews of Israel please rise up to support our (IDF) brothers and sisters for ground assault. We Jews abroad support you; we also have our families in IDF. Please stay united, don’t let them (Government and those self hating Jews retards) to come between you. We need to gain our dignity back and respect. Israel, Jerusalem, Zion forever. Remember this if we loose Israel we will suffer again like we did in the past. Stay strong and united.
5. Yes, Tahl is correct: Who got arrested? MMM????
Ronald   (12.31.08)
6. Refreshing change...
Raoul ,   Israel   (12.31.08)
to see some straight thinking and solidarity in opposing the menace that is Hamas.
7. Left wing demonstrators
Barkat ,   Jerusalem Israel   (12.31.08)
All I can tell to those demonstrating against the operation to bring peace to our southern citizens is: go to hell! Where were you when our southern brothers were suffering daily bombs for YEARS? Shame on all you hypocrites!
8. Im Tirtzu you are great !!
yariv   (12.31.08)
9. You should still vote...
Elianah ,   Ramat HaSharon, IL   (12.31.08)
Do you really want Bibi to win? There are plenty of parties out there without having to choose from the triumvate of Likud, Kadima, and Avodah.
10. to 1 (Students rally for IDF soldiers)
Hans-Jörg Marby ,   Markdorf, Germany   (12.31.08)
Could that change if (only for imagination!) the USA would be attacked from Canada by missiles pouring on Chicago, Detroit, Washington and New York? The blame is solely on Hamas. If they want peace with Israel, that war is stopped in seconds! Lets hope that happens.
11. Pro Military rallies in US
Kevin Leyva ,   Lafayette, LA.   (06.05.09)
A pro military rally would be difficult on college campuses here in the US but not impossible. With all the ultra liberal instructors and the democrats in control of the government, but the accusation by Homeland Security Director Napalitano call all veterans terrorist has got a few thinking maybe our government and instructors are up to no good.
12. The UN
Kevin Leyva ,   Lafayette, LA   (06.05.09)
The US needs to pull out of the UN and evict all those who are anti America and Anti Israel. That alone whould eliminate a few billion being wasted by the US government. I also feel that Israel has the right to defend itself without having to consider world opinion and the US should back their play. When your enimies surround you, you find the biggest one and make an example out of him.
