I am a physician and I have worked in both Shifa Hospital and Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City. The hospitals will treat any patient irrespective of political or religious affiliation. No guns are allowed in the hospitals. I find Dishkin's allegations ludicrous. Of course he has no proof. But then, people love to believe him. It fits in so conveniently with the the imagined reality of Gaza as a place full or 'tewwowists'. It is all in the eye of the beholder. No need to bother to check it out for yourself. Still, a bit strange that Israel is keeping journalists out of Gaza. If these allegations would be true, then why not have them checked out by these foreign journalists? Wouldn't that be wonderful PR for Israel? Why then is Israel keeping journalists from entering the Strip? They do these things in Zimbabwe and North Korea.
