31. #19- Yeah those bad bad parents...
GUH   (01.02.09)
Especially since the three children were "hanging around..." IN THEIR HOME when they were slaughtered... Yeah, Israel is doing precision bombing, and yet it managed to kill three children wih the most precise and accurate weapons in the world, does that tell you something at all as to what it has been doing not only in the past week, but also in the past three years? The last decade, perhaps? Or are you generating even more excuses for such behavior? Did your parents have to have so much control on your lives (provided that you are not living fear of a falling bomb or shell that could wipe you and everyone around you out). Shame on you and your excuses.
32. # 29 Idil I agree
Sagi ,   Israel   (01.02.09)
God, gods, Allah, totem poles and all their derivatives have, and will continue to cause, trouble, death and human suffering. I am an atheist and as a consequence I hate no one and I am therefor a completely balanced individual. Logic and pragmatism are my "gods", I believe in them with a fierce religiosity that does not fall from that of an ardent believer in the monotheistic religions. My 'gods" guide me to normal balanced behaviour.
33. #27 Silliness. Missiles have been fired at Israel for seven
redbourn ,   tel aviv   (01.02.09)
years. The missiles were and are aimed at population centers and hit schools and shopping centers. Hamas has sent suicide bombers to Israel. Israel showed too much restraint for too long and soon needs to take the gloves off. As regards, 'women and children' please see my post #20 Your comments like Ken's simply show blinkered thinging. Mike
34. To #13, Israel has the right to defend herself
Anders Branderud ,   Täby, Sweden   (01.02.09)
To #13, Nizar Riyan was a terrorist who has inspired people to terrorism; and increased the hatred to Israelis (http://www.thememriblog.org/). Salah Shahada was a Hamas arch-terrorist. That you call the killing of them a war crime, shows that your sympathies are with Hamas instead of the Israelis. I also want to counter the misconception held by many that IDF targets Civilians. The argument that the Israeli army targets Civilian is easily debunked by mathematical statistics (for example using the “Chi-square test”). If Israeli Defence forces (IDF) targeted Civilians, then there would be attacks on a lot of homes not housing Hamas-members. The person who states that Israeli deliberately targets Civilians has the burden of proof; because an overwhelming amount of evidence shows that IDF targets the terrorists of Hamas. Israeli newspapers reports of IDF's warning civilians prior to the attacks Google at IDF Dover Israel also gives hospital care to persons in Gaza hurt by the attacks aimed at terrorists: http://dover.idf.il/IDF/English/News/today/2008n/12/3102.htm Statement from IDF”: “The IDF Spokesperson wishes to emphasize that the IDF will continue its operations in the Gaza Strip and will target terrorists, in addition to anyone who harbours terrorists or provides any type of assistance in relation to terrorist activities.” Persons whom harbours terrorists in their homes has a responsibility in their terror attacks. That Hamas don’t cares about the Children living in Gaza is clear by the fact that they are shooting rockets (aimed at Israeli communities) among Civilians. The effect of this is that Civilians mistakenly sometimes get killed, when IDF attacks the rocket ramp. Hamas is to blame for the death of Civilians, not IDF. Let’s contrast IDF’s policy of not attacking Civilians with Hamas policy of killing Civilians: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/129193 The persons, who say that Israel should stop their attacks in Gaza, prioritize the life of Hamas terrorists, instead of Israeli civilians. If IDF don’t strike the weapon caches and the terrorists in Gaza; then these weapons and these terrorists kills Israeli civilians. Israel, just like other democracies, has the right do defend her citizens against terrorists (in this case Hamas). Every person living in Gaza, not supporting Hamas, must be happy for the reduction of the military strength of the terrorist organization Hamas. From Anders Branderud Geir Toshav, Netzarim (www.netzarim.co.il), which is in Ra'anana in Israel Standing up for Israel's right to defend herself; and giving scientifical and logical proofs for a Creator
35. # 31 It Is Called Revenge
Lawrence ,   safed Israel   (01.02.09)
Did you really thing that Israeli civilians would be killed in suicide bombings and rocket attacks and not take revenge? if you did then you were naive. If you want to hurt someone, target their children..
36. #33- Your point being?
GUH   (01.02.09)
((Missles have been fired at Israel for seven years. The missles were and are aimed at population centers and hit schools and shopping centers)) And the Israeli army has shelled, bombed from the air and sea on a much grander scale. The list includes mosques, power stations, police stations, ports, university campuses, houses, cars, etc... Is it the type of weapon that bothers you? ((Hamas has sent suicide bombers to Israel.)) There hasn't been a single suicide bomber in over a year. I don't see how that is relevant to this situation. ((Israel showed too much restraint for too long and soon needs to take the gloves off.)) How is killing hundreds of people, including children, restraint? And I'm not just talking about the recent bombings, because such has been the behavior for several years, only right now has it reached such an appalling level (after six months of planning, of course). ((As regards, 'women and children' please see my post #20)) If it wasn't obvious enough, women and children (like the three killed in this case) posed no threat to your citizens or even your soldiers, they did not carry any weapon and weren't near one in any case, yet they were killed... why is that? And that you should call my comment blinkered thinking, without spelling thinking correctly speaks volumes.
37. #35- vengeance?
GUH   (01.02.09)
I once heard this rabbi say, "vengeance is not Jewish..." but that was in some TV show and obviously not depicting the true nature of people like you. Israeli civilians killed in suicide bombings? When was that? Are you thinking back to three or four years ago? And that you should advocate targeting children... speaks to me who the true terrorists are.
38. #34- copy and paste affair
GUH   (01.02.09)
pathetic. How is killing civilians associated with "Israel's right to defend itself?"
39. Israel's defeat is pre-determined.
Yored   (01.03.09)
By targeting homes (from where the terrorists fled days ago), what is being achieved? Answer: nothing, and worse than nothing. An intensification of rocket attacks. By showing weakness, Israel is strengthening the Arabs. I have to conclude Israelis are so stupid, there is no remedy for them.
40. #11- you have a very vivid imagination
GUH   (01.03.09)
Where in the report does it say anything to do with rockets, a weapons lab, or anything like that in the reports of these three children dying? Nope, just another excuse for a triple murder by the "most morally superior army in the world."
41. #9- you too?
GUH   (01.03.09)
Whenever Israel kills somebody (and particularly an innocent person as these three were not involved in hostilities or rocket firing), its Hamas' fault. Hey, is it Israel's fault for each rocket landing on its citizens? That logic seems to be the case here.
42. #6- yes you are cold and heartless
GUH   (01.03.09)
But this is the result of the evil that permeates your society; that you should blame every ill, every one of your actions on the poor people of Gaza who are suffering under your ruthless army's gaze reflects this evil.
43. @31 Yes, irresponsible parents such as Rayyan
S.   (01.03.09)
who let his family being killed with him, even though he was warned by Israel (according to Palestinian news, btw) and by locals. If you love death more... and also for your children... you are irresponsible!
44. #43- so this must have been the message:
GUH   (01.03.09)
Dear Mr. Rayan We are going to kill you. Please get out so we can get a clean shot. Love, the IDF And since the man did not fear death, and the IAF is not afraid of killing innocent bystanders as they were just "collateral damage..." seems to you as if this were "irresponsibility?" You and your warped logic... and morals.
