31. Since when is Hamas fire Friendly Fire?
Jay ,   MI, USA   (01.06.09)
32. #31 Jay
Franco ,   Roma, Italia   (01.06.09)
Hamas fire has nothing to do with this tragic incident. Just like Israel's fire had nothing to do with the tragedy that happened a couple of weeks ago, when a misguided kassam rocket killed two little Palestinian sisters.
33. Friendly fire?
Jay Morris ,   Ramat Hashofet,Israe   (01.06.09)
The time has come for a diplomatic end. How many more of our children will have to die before we decide to leave Gaza? And in the end only time will tell if we will achieve our goals. I served in Gaza, now my son has to serve in Gaza, and sadly I predict that his son will also serve in Gaza providing that he survives the war!
34. #31, when they get tanks
Danny   (01.06.09)
then one can stop assume people killed by tank shells were killed by the IDF.
35. My dear fellow Yidden..Its war..its time to pray
Al   (01.06.09)
In war mistakes happen...WE have to press on. Hamas is a cancer that will eventually kill us if we dont kill it. They want us all dead, including lefties, righties and other idiots. Its either we fight or we die. We have no choice.
36. this is because we're afraid to hit gaza "civilians" - yet
war is war ,   USA   (01.06.09)
there are NO civilians. These people support terror, cjeer when kindergartens are hit. They should be bombed from the air and hae to take their chances without risking our boys!
37. May God Bless ...
Bdr ,   Arabian   (01.06.09)
May God Bless Hamas. And Hizbullah.
38. Only 3??!
Omani Arab ,   Muscat, Oman   (01.06.09)
Are you sure they were 3 killed only :) ?
39. why are israeli soldiers lives put at risk
avrom ,   bet shemesh   (01.06.09)
Gaza a terrorist entity should have been obliterated by a nuclear bomb our responsibility is to the lives of our brave soldiers and not those who support terrorism
40. #31. Read the article, moron (properly)

Do Israelis watch ann-Israeli media or they just blieve what their government tell them. Fiendly fire,, very childish
42. These things happen but...
daniel   (01.06.09)
look on the bright side. The IDF killed more IDF soldiers then Hamas so far. Sad as those deaths may be, that's still a good tally. Let's hope it stays that way.
43. More than THREE
Jamal ,   Israel   (01.06.09)

And I mean right now! You better run.
46. These tunnels that the terrorists are hiding in need some
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (01.06.09)
carbon dioxide cannisters set off into them. Carbon dioxide flows very low to the ground. It works just like carbon monxide. If they don't come out of the tunnel.....oh well. The carbon dioxide will take over your system........you'll pass out. You'll probably die. Why send your troops down into the dungeon, when the dungeon has no choice but to come back to get a breath of fresh air? The soda pop companies have all kinds of carbon dioxide to incapacitate terrorists who hide like moles in the earth. If you feel like being kind. You can warn them about the carbon dioxide being pumped into the tunnels. The rats will flee. The beverage companies have ample supplies of the gas in tanks. You do remember the burst of Carbon Dioxide from a lake in Africa. The lakes water level fell several feet. The carbon dioxide follwed the ground at a low level hugging it close. 80,000 people died from it. They never woke from their sleep. Tell the citizens to evacuate the area.....and pump the gas in the sealed entrance. If you have a scanner for carbon dioxide.....you could find most of the tunnels entrances all over Gaza. You could use a high concentration of colored smoke grenades as well. Send robots on tracks down the tunnels and touch off the colored smoke grenades. When you see the smoke coming out of a tunnels entrance or exit.......bomb it to oblivion. Heated air pumped into the tunnels could be viewed with an infrared system in an airplane from above. You could see the heat emminating from the tunnels entrances and exits. Their are several ways to find a rat hole.
47. #41, because Hamas killing them
Danny   (01.06.09)
will make us feel so much worse than an IDF shelling them by accident? IDF shelling them makes Hamas less competent? Exactly what reason has Israel got to lie about this?
48. Fragging? Hmmm?
Rivkah   (01.06.09)
49. Lies.....Then,.......Lies

52. Carpet bombing
Mark ,   Maale adumim   (01.06.09)
Take the soldiers out and attack by air again.
53. indiscriminate killers
observer   (01.06.09)
so Israel is blowing up houses without being sure who are inside. Israel does not discriminated whether it was DIME, white phosphorus, or depleted uranium missiles it uses. More than 100 countries agreed to the text of the resulting Convention on Cluster Munitions in May 2008 which sets out a comprehensive ban on these weapons. This treaty was signed by 94 states in Oslo on 3-4 December. even big countries like the US and Russia that have not signed the treaty would not want to be stigmatized any more by links to cluster bombs. the US committed it self to allow at most 1% failure rate in case of utmost necessity. Has Israel signed the treaty? guess!
54. God bless all freedom fighters .

56. Friendly-Fire
Sallee ,   Tivon   (01.06.09)
Another dreadful euphemism, picked up from the americans. It seems we are also picking up their habit of killing our own as well. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families of the dead and injured.
57. sama lies same lebanon war same ending same defeat
jojo ,   fl.   (01.06.09)
sama lies same lebanon war same ending same defeat
58. #12 Mr. Morris..have u ever visited this
I respect what u are ,   saying BUT...   (01.06.09)
region or is it easier to spew hatred from such a distance? No one here wants Palestinians to be killed, u are insane to think otherwise. Hamas is sending rockets daily into Israel, with no retalitory response for over 7 years. The Palestinians sit in a small area, taking handouts from every given organisation in the world, all the money that is given to them is spent on buying weaponary for Hamas whilst the locals are starving to death. How many arabs friends do u have Peter, none I should imagine, u just sit on ur high horse and pass judgement. If u want to understand the situation why dont u visit the region, im sure I would respect ur opinion more after that. We do not want to kill cilivians, we are just defending our country, and if Hamas, like Hizbollah and all the other arab terrorists choose to sit amidst civilians who do nothing to change the staus quo, then it is an unfortunate part of war that civilians will be killed.
59. Take it from me ............
(01.06.09)
You will never defeat people who are fighting to liberate their homeland.
60. Some ugly posts in here should never have been authorized.
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (01.06.09)
I am surprised at the ynetnews editors for allowing such disgusting comments such as 12, 38, 43, and 44. While I can accept people criticizing the IDF's operation, the gloating over our soldiers death is sickening.
