3. israeli military censorship ... fact of lying
Palestine.my.love ,   Gaza   (01.08.09)
your media lying on you , trick you
4. Greenberg thought nothing left other than rockets cleared ?
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (01.08.09)
Do you have any dignity, self-respect or other values which irritate you when you saw "cleared for publication" note? A country in which news papers can only release news after military censure by a "cleared for publication" note is NOT A DEMOCRACY. As for your wrong assumptions war started now, 9 days was just a prelude to war. When Israeli army defeated and retreat it will leave many soldiers captured and kept under ground tunnels dig by Hamas, such underground structure was against IDF land operation, perhaps a bad copy of Hizbullah's bunkers,,,
5. IDF Soldiers
Kamal ,   Jordan   (01.08.09)
Who here would like to know the REAL number of Israeli soldiers killed? 30 killed and 100 injured and the "undisclosed" captured :) keep walking to blindly towards your elections!

The fact is, Hamas doesn't care about Palestinian men, women or children. They use them as shields while Hamas men shoot and run. The Israelis are the true heros and I extend my sincere condolences to the family of Roee Rosner.

Sammy ,   Tel Aviv   (01.08.09)
The point has been made but I will make it again. First the immediate family is told, then the media. And it is never done in the middle of the night. We do have dignity and self respect, and we also respect the rights of others. Ask yourself if in your own country your talkback would be published. Ynet will not allow "incitement, slander, racist slurs and inappropriate language," but it will give someone like you all the space you need. You should be ashamed of yourself and your criticism and you are deluding yourself if you think the Israeli army will be defeated.
9. An amazing group of soldiers
Murray of Montreal   (01.08.09)
The IDF/IAF deserve to be commended for their sacrifices. The fact that so few have paid the supreme sacrifice is proof that their cause is just. May the memory of those who have paid the supreme sacrifice in the defence of Israel always be remembered and may they always be honoured!
10. My condolences
Ana ,   Spain   (01.08.09)
My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Roee Rosner, who has fallen as a heroe defending his country for terrorism. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

13. Correct indeed, #6
Cameron ,   USA   (01.08.09)
Out of patience with these malevolent, self-righteous to the point of weirdness, feudal folk. Gaza these days is an appropriate, unavoidable response to Islamic mindset & behavior. We know you for what you are.

Jane   (01.08.09)
I asked myself and I told me that you are full of ful. The millions protesting around the world are comprised of Eurotrash lefty Jew-haters, Islamofacist Jew-haters, self-hating Jew Jew-haters, Naturei Karta imitation Jew Jew-haters, etc. Not one of them, nor all of them together, means spit to me.
19. #11 - YOU ARE WRONG- from a Jew
Frank ,   Los Angeles, CA, USA   (01.08.09)
Roberto, not all Palestinians are terrorists. It is true that most, if not all of them, hate us. Religious rhetoric and over 60 years of living in appalling conditions (refugee camps and under occupation) don't bring about feelings of love and friendship either. Those who loose lives on their side are humans, just like us. Their families suffer at their loss, like we do too. Their children are just as innocent as our children. They miss their fallen fathers and brothers and mothers, just like our children do. Roberto, pray for enlightenment; for for the day that one day hatered based on difference in religions will be replaced by love and friendship. My 100% Jewish heart goes out to all families from both sides who have lost a loved one, and are willing to put aside the cause of hate, and pursue the cause of love and peace.
20. #17 IS THAT HOW YOU TALK TO FRIENDS
AIMAN ,   JERSEY USA   (01.08.09)

Ruth ,   USA   (01.08.09)
"Cleared for publication" does not mean censorship... it means the military has had enough time to notify his family and now his name can be published... EVERY decent military in the world waits to notify immediate family before publicly announcing the names of those who have been killed.
22. My prayers to the family.
MARK ,   UNITED STATES   (01.08.09)
23. Rabbi Eckstein nearly died last week from rockets from Gaza.
Rivkah   (01.08.09)
He heads the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews that helps Israel. He was in Israel near Gaza with a group of people when they saw two flashes in the sky and knew they had only 15 seconds to get to shelter. But there was no place to run to, so Rabbi Eckstein raised his hands to the sky and prayed for God to protect them. The rockets landed a hundred yards away, the distance of a football field. Rabbi Eckstein's daughter wants people to remember the power of prayer in such situations.

being that you are living in icy Canada, it seams that you never took a plane to visit arab countires to see the contribution that they did to history that made you the creture that you are today, if you are o anti-arab racist guy, go to spain and visit Andalusia and see how much we did before you open your mouth and tell us who we are. The answers for your questions are : 1) before the violence in Iraq, there was a mad dictator brought by america to fight againest shite Iran that is feared by your Israeli fellows and when his turn was over, then went in after two wars and 14 years of sanctions looking like assholes for WMD and that's were their democracy brought all the killing with them and the result was over 1milion civilian killed thanks to your yankee friends. sudan is a very complicated story my frined and what you see in TV is only to get a road to Sudan oil and natural wealth. who cared about Sudan before they discovered oil ? they had been fighting for over 20year a civil war ? where the F*** were your freedom right movments and democratic forces ? Ruwanda is an excellent example of your international comunity bullshit ... money talks not children diying in the name of state of Israel and its bloody security. as for Taliban and AlQaeda that have been created and trainined by the cia to fight USSR in the 80's and when it was over you want to lquidate them but they luqidated your yankee friends in 9/11 and yet they are killing your Canadian soliders on daily basis in Afghanistan ... you get what you gave to them ... you created them ... you enjoy them also !!! gentialia mutilation is done in Africa and not in the arab or muslim world you idiot as we enjoy sex as few others and the army of children e have is an example of our sexual strength not you you assholes ssolwing viagras just to have some pleasure with the first B**** on the road ... clean up ypur ass first andnote that the berka is form afghanistan and its not used in the arab world you creap and realize that that problems in the world are because of your will of getting the resoucres and welth that are not yours ... in algeria the french stayed for 130 years and killed more them 1milion arabs but got throwen out and so Israel will ... histroy simply repeats its self habibi ... enjoy it.
26. Not friendly fire?
Dave Wilson ,   usa   (01.08.09)
If its not an accident, its a friendly fire incident. If its not friendly fire, then its randoM Palestian fire. Hamas is never given credit for any deaths among the ranks of the IDF.
27. #3 who's lying u are not in Gaza they
Love ,   Shmove   (01.08.09)

28. Libyan Guy I admit there is some truth
Truce ,   Israel   (01.08.09)
in what u say, but u dont have to get personal..we could all have 10 children, if our wives were so inclined, but they want to do other things outside of having kids..besides its no mean feat having a stadium of kids when u marry 4 wives. Yep, they did make a lot of mistakes, and in fact, a lot of the problems both the jews and arabs face today were caused by others..we did get along and we DO get along..its all this hatred that is constantly being stirred up. I betcha u and could be great pals.

What an elegant post. Your talent for creative writing is underwhelming !
30. Don't want to read Ynet anymore.
Jamie ,   Edinburgh, UK   (01.08.09)
A few years ago I was shown Ynet by an Israeli I met in South America. This same Israeli turned out to become one of my best friends and we are still in regular contact. I used to read ynet about once a month, but now I check it for lists of casualties. The same friend who introduced me to ynet is (as best I can figure) in Gaza. No offence to the people at ynet, but I hope I can stop your website soon. My thoughts are with everyone who is being adversely affected by this regrettable conflict.
