1. Tell them NO.
Jo   (01.11.09)
Gaza will one day be part of a Palestinian State as one day it should be. The disengagement was right even though it was hard. A million and a half Arabs live there - has no one forgotten the cost it took on the army and security to keep them there. We are not willing to do this. Israel is committed to a two state solution and even though this has happened this is the ONLY way to go. Otherwise we will always be a war.
2. sweeteie, speak for your self
to no 1   (01.11.09)
Don't say - WE, you as WE have made all possible mistakes to put it mildly, Gaza withdarawl didn't have anything to do with security issues, it was an attmept of A. Sharon to stop investigations into misdeeds of his and his children, and as such was a crime, as he usurped his authority, destoryed a political party, started a new party specially for this prupose, so don't try to sell to US ( as a pronoun) that it was a right thing to do. Don't isult OUR intelligence with statements that ISRAEL wants a two-state solution - no sane person wants it.
3. Aprooting Jews from their homes.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (01.11.09)
Twenty-one Jewish communities in Gaza and four in northern Samaria were uprooted and destroyed in the August 2005 Disengagement. The abandoned territory in Gaza was turned over to the Palestinian Authority, which has been using the land for training terrorists and launching rockets at Jewish towns in the western Negev ever since. Many of the thousands of uprooted residents are still trying to put their lives together in terms of housing and employment. More about this horrible mistake at : http://xrl.us/kkjaf
4. Gush Katif Evictees ...
Libyan guy ,   Italy   (01.11.09)
Zionist Talibans that don't want any peace, they just want the promissed land for the holy chosen ones.
5. BACK AGAIN!
EM ,   Ra'anana   (01.11.09)
The settlements in Gaza did NOT stop the shelling in Sderot. That has been going on for 8 years...4 years BEFORE the disengagement. The settlements did NOT prevent any terrorist attack, bus bombing or either intifada. Those have been going on long before the disengagement. The settlements DID cause soldiers to be killed protecting them. Not to mention endangering their own children. But maybe the settlers lived in Gaza too long...they seem to have adopted the same grip on reality and adherence to facts as their former neighbors.
6. Are they out of their mind?
TC ,   Haifa   (01.11.09)
It's very opportunistic and populistic to wait this specific situation (the war) to make such a request. I hope our government isn't stupid enough to agree with their demands and that the public isn't naive either. Our army is busy enough with Hamas, we don't need a bunch of nuts to add some oil in the fire.
7. You IDIOTS ! You make my cousin leave and now you want him
Yitzak ben Shlomo ,   Singapore   (01.11.09)
back ? Idiots, you all listen ! I wont send him there again ! He is happy with us here !
8.  To #1 Replies are having troubles.STILL MY REPLY IS YES!
Miriam ,   T.A Israel   (01.11.09)
This is all until YNET corrects its errors.
9. The best news all day
Rebbe   (01.11.09)
You have my blessings!
10. good for war effort, great mitzva
Y ,   Nitzan, Israel   (01.11.09)
Short of winning the war and driving the arabs out of Gaza, what could demoralize the arabs of Gaza more than to see the Jews return and reestablished their towns. Such a demoralization would be an asset to the war effort - and a great mitzva besides!
11. To sweetie @ 1 a reply
Miriam ,   T.A Israel   (01.11.09)
reply to #1 speaking a load of rubbish, not knowing the real reason which you explained.I will add my piece by reminding him that: 1]The settlers were a buffer for Israel proper. 2]The Arabs benefited by work 3]Side by side with the Jews 4] Setters were encouraged by consecutive Govtments 5] they built all the infrastructures, 6] Worked hard and throughout the peiod of 40+years 7]What did the terorists do? 8] The minute they entered Gaza they destroyed eveything, 9] And instead of benefiting and building a stAate what? 19]They turned it into a launching pad for their kassams. So number one,is that why you object and say: NO?
12. Reassessing the returnees to Gush Katif
Miriam ,   T.A israel   (01.11.09)
Me thinks this is a very good idea, and why not implement it? The settlers were a buffer for Israel proper, and the Arabs worked side,by side with our people without any bother. I think the disengagement espoused by A.Sharon was one of the biggest mistake made during his tenure.Wish he coud see the resulting mess we are experincing now. I will not belabour the subject, because there is nothing I,as an ordinary Israeli citizen can do much. I have no connection to any settlers-- something which I abhore naming them such. For the simple reason, according to the enemies which surround us,we are ALL cincidered as ONE GIGANTIC SETTLER ENTERPRISE.. Take it from there dear Ynet
13. Gush Katif evictees ask to return
Tom ,   New York, USA   (01.11.09)
While I understand the loss felt by these former pioneers, there is now way this could be anything but another disaster. Like anyone who feels a loss, its hard to move on, but instead of yearning for Netzarimm, how abbout findinga worthy isareli town (Migdal Haemek ?), setting there and haleping make it successful ?
14. Give them back their homes in Gaza
Avi ,   Geneva   (01.11.09)
I admire their courage and fortitude.
15. Very brave
daniel   (01.11.09)
