1. Don't pull out yet. Hold them accountable.
Ypip ,   Canada   (01.11.09)
Make some way for aid to securely reach the city for civilians, and then continue to wipe the organization out of Gaza.
2. Hamas the other face
Elias ,   Germany   (01.11.09)
I believe that the HamasĀ“s rockets are to plant the horror on the border of Israel and to damage the peace in the Middle East and we should know Iran and Syria have been never hesitated to support this terror group Hamas . Absolutely Hamas have no chance to win this war and should insert inside the political game and avoid the region of more damage and more blood bleeding .
3. INTELLIGENCE ?
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (01.11.09)
We all have seen in the past years , that our so-called intelligence is pretty stupid and by opening their big mouths again at this point in time , they prove my point. As long as the rockets are falling on our cities , their is no reason for any chest pounding. Like in any other country our media is not very honest and portay a not very real picture off the situation. What they are realy trying to do is keep the same people in power who are responsable for this mess in the first place. We can be rest assured that when the smoke clears, they will continuii on their self destructive path , they have been following for the past 15 years.
4. Custer's Last Stand
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.11.09)
It's too bad Israel's political leadership do not decisivly defeat Hamas and bring the shame of defeat as their end legacy. This shame and disgrace of Hamas will be a lasting mark on them among all ,especially the Plaestinian people.
5. So why aren't we in phase 3 and 4 already?
Moshe   (01.11.09)
6. they are damaged but a bad political solution wil reverse it
zionist forever   (01.11.09)
Hamas will survive as a political movement this war hasn't changed that what we need to do now is make sure the political solution is one that solves the long term problem & avoid rearming by Hamas and the Egyptian plan does none of that. The Philadelphi Route needs to be either fully or jointly controled by Israel we can't trust anybody else but our own people. A solution needs to be found to the smuggling tunnel, simply telling Hamas the ceasefire forbids you from anymore smuggling is rediculous. If they decide to change their mind Israel is not going to start another war again to deal with it and they know it. Hamas have no assets to freeze, we can't boycot their goods or businesses as they have nothing to boycott, we can't get the UN to do anything about because Hamas are not members of the UN. Building underground walls won't solve the problem they will just dig deeper tunnels and go under the wall or they will dig a hole in it when they make the tunnel. Any international forces must not be observers who tell us their observation is Hamas have just fired a rocket, they must be peace keeping forces with the authority and will to shoot to kill Anything less than this is another resolution 1701 and all this war will have done will have done is damaged Hamas for a while and they will rebuild because we have accepted a political solution which will make that possible.
7. Do stop till the job is done.
Daniel ,   San Jose, CA USA   (01.11.09)
I have to agree. We can't stop now. Any hasty cease fire now would only allow Hamas to rearm and in a year or two we will be back at it again. After 3 years and some 4000 + rockets hitting Israel, Hamas acquired the GRAD. With it's extended range it was a game changer exposing some 1.2 million Israeli's to potential rocket fire. Hamas has bread hate for to long. Anyone who wines about disproportionate use of force, please take a look at WWII. Around one million us troops were killed and in the end almost 9 million german's. Yet no one would say that the outcome was not favorable. I am not saying we are going to kill 9 million Palestinians but the world will need to except that Hamas is calling for continued Jihad, and refuses all Egyptian peace offers. They took our olive branch and shoved it in a wood chipper. Now they will answer for that. I think they are right that Gazians will eventually turn on hamas but we have another three weeks at least till we get to that point. It needs to get to the point that no one has the pysical strength or mental capacity to care about "The Shaheed Cause". Only then will they realize the true path to peace. It is like an intervention of a drug addict. It is never easy or short. In the end my hope is for a lasting peace with the Palestinian people.
8. Hamas prefers the deaths of Israelis over the lives of ...
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (01.11.09)
Hamas prefers the deaths of Israelis over the lives of Palestinians Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, sees the struggle for Palestine as neither an ordinary political dispute between two contending nations (Israelis and Palestinians), nor even as a struggle for national self-determination by an indigenous population against a foreign occupier. Rather, it sees Palestine as but one battle in a worldwide holy war to prevent the fall of a part of the House of Islam to infidels. Hamas tends to prefer the deaths of Israelis over the lives of Palestinians as described at : http://xrl.us/bebh94
9. Intelligence sources believe Hamas damaged
Orao Stranka. ,   Tsarigrad u Srbia.   (01.11.09)
If Hamas survive they have won. Souround the Cities and evacuate the civilians. Israel must tell the World and the civilian citizens of Gaza they are free to evacuate, before Israel take on Hamas in the last fight. If Hamas do not let the Civilians evacuate, the blame is on Hamas. Both of them in this scensrio could be starved out as well. Orao.
10. You can't justify murdering children
yusuf ,   Turkey   (01.11.09)
You can't justify murdering children with whatever creative excuse you come up with. First Israel breaks the ceasefire by killing Hamas members on Nov 4th, then when it gets some weak response, they start killing the whole Gaza people without any distinction between women, children, or elderly. Israel is not damaging Hamas or Palestinians, it is only damaging itself in front of history.
11. #10 - You are right!
AliBaBa & 40 robbers   (01.11.09)
You can justify murdering only Armenian and Jewish children!
12. Hamas; crying to UN/EU
Ben ,   Monroe USA   (01.12.09)
Cease fire; another term for rearming under the noses of the UN/EU with the obvious intention of sending more rockets into Israel. The UN is another name for the Arab entities whose desire is to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews. The EU historically is anti-semitic and would appreciate the arab worlds doing the job it tried to do for centuries. Let the UN and the EU go to hell.
13. #10 and #11 The only reason Hamas. . .
Dan ,   New York   (01.14.09)
. . . hasn't killed scores of Israeli children is that they haven't been able to. They want nothing more than to just that. They'd dance in the street if they blew up an Israeli school, rejoicing in the killing and maiming of scores of kids. They'd hand out candies. Israel targets Hamas who, cowardly, hide behind their own children as they shoot. Hamas is only unhappy that they can't kill more Israeli children. And you know all of this is true.
