1. UNRWA:Part of the problem, not partof solution
Arie ,   BaGolan   (01.13.09)
UNRWA and its leadership has adopted the islamist UN model that Israel is always to blame. hamass has been proven to loot UNRWA offices and warehouses by hamass yet UNRWA always finds a way to gloss it over; they hide terrorists and make excuses; they allow their trucks to be used to carry supplies for the terrorists with fuel commandeered from civilians.
2. they made their bed, now sleep in it
eliezer ,   jerusalem   (01.13.09)
They voted for Hamas, that meant they wanted war. Let them suffer and learn the hard way what war is like.
3. People here would rather die than go to Israel."
..............DACON9   (01.13.09)
PROOF THAT STEVE PLOCKER IN THE OPINION COLUMN IS RIGHT CRUSH HAMAS IS THE ONLY END TO THIS. ISRAELIS, READ THE QUOTES HERE. THERE WILL NEVER BE PEACE AS LONG AS ISRAEL RESPECTS AN ENEMY THAT HATES YOU. YOU MUST HATE THEM MORE. DACON9
4. Good, we have an agreement!
israeli ,   israel   (01.13.09)
"People here would rather die than go to Israel." Good, we don't want you here, not now, not ever. That includes your suicide bombers as well.
5. Blame Hamas
Moish ,   Jerusalem   (01.13.09)
the people who voted for them and the people who support them! UNWRA is staffed by Hamas members, rocket makers etc. They have absolutely NO credibility
6. Dire Straits ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.13.09)
That was a pretty good rock band some time ago.
7. Gaza and Darfur
I. Barr ,   USA   (01.13.09)
UNWRA whining has to be viewed through the eyes of the people of Darfur. 15 million reffugees who live in make shift tents with no running water, food, sewage all over, no electricity and on going rape and murder by the Sudanese militias. A 1000 to 5000 Darfurians are killed DAILY. And what does UNWRA do? Koffee Anan himself complained that 80% of UNWRA budget goes to Palestinians including Gazans. Figure it out: Every soul in Gaza, babies to Hamas terrorists get 625 dollars annually from UNWRA. In Darfur the miserable unrepresented, un demonstrated, un propaganded Darfurians get 5 dollars, yes, FIVE Dollars PER SOUL PER YEAR. Hypocritic UNWRA has to stop and journalists have to start writing about Darfur. Palestinians are the darlings of the UN and Darfurians are the orphans. Please think Darfur not Gaza.
8. Vive la Résistance Palestinienne!
Zyriab ,   Montréal   (01.13.09)
Long live the great & brave resistance of Gazans . God is with them.
9. GAZA IN DIRE STRAITS
AVRAHAM YOM-TOV ,   ISRAEL   (01.13.09)
Dr. Hassan Khalaf: and why does the international community ignore the people of Gaza? The answer is simple, the international community is fed up with the Hamas regeim and their path of terror for all the years it has been in existance. and it should be brought out that the people of Gaza voted the Hamas terror organization into p[ower - so suffer the consequences. Unfortunately the children of Gaza are suffering for their parent's choice. Avraham
10. Dire Straits
Linda ,   Israel   (01.13.09)
You in dire straits because for years instead of building, you are breaking, instead of standing together you are apart, instead of spending your money wisely you spending your money to buy missiles and weapons to fight us. Something is so messed up with you people. Take a grip of yourself! This is your chance to rid of the hamas the cancer and start living a proper, repectful and decent life!
11. Too little, too late...
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (01.13.09)
<"It is a disgrace that the international community allows the bloodshed in Gaza to continue without stopping the Israeli killing machine." > If someone had stopped the Hamas rocket machine, none of this would be happening.
12. Israel
Earl Yates ,   USA   (01.13.09)
Where was all this false concern the last eight years over inocent people being injured or killed ? or is it that the world hates the Jewish people so much that killing a Jew is ok?
13. Hamas was a BIG mistake
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.13.09)
The Palestinians bet on the wrong jihad horse, It's a loser, bigtime and the Palestinians have no one to blame but themselves. annjell wrote; It is plain and clear, this is a land-grab war, through means of genocide.' How is it that the haters of Israel have the gall to lie so openly and without shame. The pathology of lies is at work deep within this axis of evil. The y hate the truth and attack any who speak it as Anthony Cordesman did. We know what the Islamic jihadists intend to do with Israel. The speak about it openly,to kill every Jew for their bloodthirsty and unmerciful god allah. There is no place for the kuffar (unbeliever), Jews and Christians with them and so the Charter of Fatah and Islamic Jihad along with Iran's Hizbollah and Hamas is the genocide of a non-moslem nation of Jews. The lies and propaganda by the cadre of jihadist supporters here is as dark and diabolical as the Hamas killers they support. Israel left Gaza in 2005 as a painful sacrifice for the supposed peace process and was rewarded immediately for it's efforts with Palestinian rockets on ot's civilian population. There was no outcry from the phony humanatarians who now come out of the woodwork to protest civilian casualties. The reality is that Israel cannot afford to lose one war with rabid foaming at the mouth dogs like Hamas who live for jihad ,death and destruction and not peace. The enemies of Israel are enraged that Israel might possibly defeat another radical Islamic army and shame the moslem word with another one of many defeats.
14. Palestinian doubletalk, read it carefully
JPS ,   Efrat   (01.13.09)
1) "We want to send people to Israeli hospitals, but the Gaza Health Ministry won't allow it. People here would rather die than go to Israel." The Gaza Health Ministry is run by Hamas, but Shifa hospital wants to send wounded for treatment in Israel. Thus Hamas prefers that innocents die in Gaza. Hassan Khalaf wants to send patients to Gaza, but why would he do that if they'd rather die? Obviously makes no sense. 2) "Hamas will no go down, because the people are Hamas… negotiations are the only way to end the fighting, and Hamas is willing to talk, just not under Israel's conditions." But the Hamas charter itself says (article 13): "The so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement. ... There is no solution to the Palestinian problem except by Jihad." Hamas is on record as saying it will "never" make peace and will not directly negotiate with Israel. So Ynet simply promotes Pal propaganda by quoting these guys and the reporter not questioning the contradictory statements made.
15. Again?
Yerushalmi ,   Jerusalem   (01.13.09)
According to Hamas PR, they were starving to death 5 minutes after operation started. Why can't they pretend it is Ramadan?
16. UNWRA:Gaza in dire straits...SO? (end)
DT ,   TA Isr   (01.13.09)
17. If you are anywhere near a rocket cell ...
eli ,   jerusalem   (01.13.09)
So he tells us, that there are everywhere rocket cells. And UNRWA didn't even ask, what Hamas bought from their money. Now they are wondering about missing food and medicine. In any case Israel is to blame for this like always. When will they check what happens with their money? Hamas want and wanted Jihad and the people who elected them knew it-now this is Jihad. The "infidels" only answer after years. It's their mistake to believe that Jihad is a promanade. Think twice there are 4-5 times more "infidels" than muslims on earth (by the way a very young religion). The world has enough of your behavior and your killing of innocents. Take a deep look into the hell through the gates you opened - there are no virgins, there is a burning heat only.
18. Willing to Suffer for their freedoms?
Madeleine ,   Israel   (01.13.09)
ER, I didn't notice that the Gazans had any freedoms vefore we attacked them with the aim of ending theior continual rocket fire on us. Oh, I see - that was the freedom - to shoot us freely and daily.
19. Gazan, you earned it all and more!
sandi ,   US   (01.13.09)
20. #8 GO JOIN THE GAZANS
Sandi ,   US   (01.13.09)
21. To the Palestinians:
Linda ,   Israel   (01.13.09)
Hate us now but love us later for getting rid of hamas for you. Later without them you will prosper.
22. Their fridges looked like that before
Talula ,   Israel   (01.13.09)
Hamas has never made it a number one priority to feed the Gazans. It's so easy to blame it all on us. But the sad fact is, for the last 16 days or so, the IDF have been blowing up rockets, surface to air missiles and other 'goodies' that found their way into Gaza through tunnels. Pity they didn't smuggle food stuff in instead. Seems rockets were more important than babies being fed. What a sad bunch of misfit sickos they are.
23. All that PHOTOS with Little Babies DONT WORK ANYMORE !
YITZAK BEN SHLOMO ,   Singapore   (01.13.09)

24. Gaza in dire straits
Fabio ,   Rome, Italy   (01.13.09)
but, quoting the rock band, UNRWA got "money for nothing".
25. UNWRA Rep Adnan Abu
Ehud ,   TA   (01.13.09)
Half of his family works for the UNWRA, the other half for Hamas, and both work together. That's why he is obviously not only a spokesman for UNWRA, but also for Hamas ("...the people are Hamas"). Incredible!
26. Gaza In Dire Straits
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (01.13.09)
....and it always will be if Gazans allow themselves to be ruled by terrorists. The solution is simple. Get rid of Hamas!
27. UNRWA = HAMAS!
OPEN UNRWA BOOKS!!!!   (01.13.09)
28. #8 Ah! so you believe in God? you are talking about God?
Talula ,   Israel   (01.13.09)
This is what God said in the Bible: Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Gaza, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they carried away captive a whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom. So will I send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour the palaces thereof And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon; and I will turn My hand against Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD Seems they are onto a losing streak if you ask me.
29. Zyriab ...Montréal
