91. #77 Palestinians screw themselves
Cynthia ,   USA   (01.18.09)
Israel still does millions of dollars per year in business with Palestinians who participate in joint business ventures. This gets little press. When the border crossings close due to Palestinian terror threats, Israeli farmers lose a lot of money. The ONLY way Palestinians can improve their economy is if they stop terror and work with Israel. Hamas will not let that happen. They would rather bleed donors, pimp the "poor Palestinian" image while 24/7 working to destroy their best potential business partner. Please support Israel and buy their excellent products. The Palestinians have no products for you to boycott.
92. Give to Palestinia peoplew
peret ,   Catalonia   (01.18.09)
Give to Palestinia peoplew, they need it.
93. stop killing civillians!
david ,   spain   (01.18.09)
it's all you learn from WWW II?
94. Before Every War Action, Alternate Sales Routes
Brana Lobel ,   Israel   (01.18.09)
BOYCOTTING SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT BEFORE EVERY WAR ACTION. OTHER COUNTRIES SUCH AS CHINA, INDIA SHOULD BE APPROACHED FOR TRADE. CUT THE ARABS OFF. WHY DO BUSINESS WITH THEM IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE PIGS? THERE NEEDS TO BE A PLAN B,C, AND D FOR ALL AGRICULTURE EXPORTS. EXTRA EXPENSES SUCH AS SHIPPING SHOULD BE REIMBURSED BY THE GOVERNMENT OR LOW INTEREST LOANS FROM BANKS OF NO INTEREST LOANS FROM SPECIAL GEMACHIM. JUST AS THE SHMITTAH YEAR IS HOLY, SO MUST WE SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN TIMES OF NEED.
95. Enjoying Israeli produce in HELSINKI!
Thomas ,   Helsinki, Finland   (01.18.09)
No problem whatsover to find Israeli produce here! Great grapefruits btw this year! I will only buy the Israeli grown options!
96. Yes to Boycotts
Eric ,   Holmdel, NJ USA   (01.18.09)
Israelis, Jews, and those Christians who understand that the Palestinian issue is a proxy in the war against them too should not only support the boycott, but also expand it. Do not shop at Ikea, bank or trade with Securitas, Nordea, Svenska Handelsbanken, FöreningsSparbanken, OKO, DnB NOR, Jyske, Danske or Arab Banks: fly on SAS; or purchase products from Electrolux, Volvo, SAAB, Ericsson, Nokia, Telenor, Yara, Carlsberg, or Danisco. These measures are only temporary until our modest goals are achieved: halt trade with and break off diplomatic relations with Muslim majority countries, provide Israel with massive aid in order to rebuild civilian areas in the South and North, and deploy peacekeepers to protect Israeli civilians from its Muslim neighbors. I can think of no other moderate and reasonable solution to the “Islamish” problem.
97. #1 - Such hypocrisy
William ,   Israel   (01.18.09)
And how many died in countries you import oil and gas from? How many farmers producing your bananas and coffee are hardly making a living under despotic regimes? How many poor kids work long hours in China where the majority of your consumer products hail from?? It doesn't bother you because none eminate from those "nasty Jews". Tell you what - switch to importing Palestinians good - and when some of those "goods" are terror and bus bombs, just remind your.... "it's better than Israeli persimmons"
98. #40 - Great, when your done, chuck your laptop in the river
William ,   Israel   (01.18.09)
Along with cellphones with camera technology, many life savings drugs and medical equipment... No one ever said those in South Carolina had no passion - willing to cut their noses off to spite their own face. Bravo!
99. #46 - Boycott Germany over support of Saddam regime
William ,   Israel   (01.18.09)
You got blood on your hands, buddy!! Despite the sanctions against Iraq, Germany did substantial business with them - not only legitimizing Saddam's rule but giving him the hard cash he needed to continue his brutual rule. His rule killed hundreds of thousands between 1991 and 2002 - and you are a direct accomplice.
100. Ahmed says "trust me" #76
William ,   Israel   (01.18.09)
First, I never trust an Arab who says "trust me". Hasn't worked for 1400 years. Second, I know for a fact that several Israeli factories exist in Jordan, one of them being a successful textiles company.
101. #77 - moron from Holland - Pal economy
William ,   Israel   (01.18.09)
In 1999 (if your history goes back that far), Israel and the Pals had an integrated export system, which included fruits from both populations. They were identified mostly because Pals worked from lower quality standards than Israel did. It was the 2000 Intifiada that destroyed everything. Despite this, produce from Gaza and WB was exported. In 2005, Pals were handed advanced greenhouses that could have provided amazing produce - they tore it apart and sold it for scrap metal. In many of the imports to Gaza - weapons were found. In many exports from Gaza, terrorists and bombs were found. Is this your idea of non-discrimination? Today, WB produce is exported while Hamas destroyed Gaza and they have little to export. Pals screw themselves - they don't need Israel for that.
102. 92-Hamas doesnt like "Fruit Cocktail" Only "Molotov Cocktail
Alan ,   SA   (01.18.09)
103. persimons
(01.18.09)
send it to the us?
104. morons
hor ,   portland USA   (01.19.09)
Hey 102, great comment! #93, your a freekin moron. #1, your canadian, your word has no weight. #46, if the cowards of hamas would stop hiding behind the innocent, then they would not be killed. Why dont you blame the hamas also?
105. How to find out about importing-what to do with persimmons
CS Goldstein ,   USA   (01.19.09)
To inquire: Call the Embassy, or the Consulate, near you to obtain information. They each have Economic sectors, or go online to the Israeli government websites. Also, write and request Israeli produce at the local stores and outlets, and inquire with women's organizations, such as local Hadassah, Naamat, synagogues if they would send out an email to make a unified effort to request Israeli produce. The local branches of what is called Federation in the US may have information and members, who more than likely, are importers, grocers, wholesale grocers and food distributors, and owners of independent gourmet food stores. They are all, certainly, consumers. Flowers are another product about which to inquire. Often Israel seasonly fills in when other countries, such as Holland, have a seasonal hiatus. Israel has gorgeous roses, for instance, that can be ordered for exhibitors, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, events, even Shabbos services, and holidays.Store chains, as mentioned above are, of course, optimum. For any business that does order and sell Israeli produce and flowers as many people as possible should make a point of shopping there. Also, the Jewish press in your country and/or area, should feature what, where, who, and when is handling Israeli products. The persimmon growers can can persimmons and create dried persimmons, preserves, toppings, all accompanied with recipes for all occasions. To paraphrase President George Washington when he was trekking through the colonies during his first term as President, Americans will see a need and fulfill it, creating a small business. It's the ingenuity and initiative that will create small businesses that will be the backbone of this Nation.(That's a broad paraphrase.) Israel is equally creative and industrious.Probably, today, Israel is far more industrious and productive. It is still agricultural and manufactures. While its educational system is running into difficult problems, the brains and talent are still there along with many who will do the hard work. Just think, if Israel finally beats down Hamas, regardless of world jabber, which may calm down as these leaders have to deal with the consequences of the extant idiotic policies and corruption, Israel will be the haven for civilization. It will be the beacon. It will be the example of fighting and winning over the evil all of us in the West are fighting. .
106. South Africa is buying more Israeli goods
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (01.19.09)
then ever before. you see goods from Israel in almost every Gas Station Store (where many South Africans do their quick shoping). Furthermore, the big shoping groups are owned buy Jews. Just today i saw Israeli electronic equipment at Standard Bank. Israeli goods are just so good - we in South Africa cant boycot them. PS, especialy the Israel farming equipment its awesome. to all those who want to Boycott, no problem, just live worse off lives
107. To Christof and the other Germans
I remember ,   Auschwitz   (01.19.09)
Please do boycott Israel. I'm glad you've found a way to make yourselves feel better about the death and desctruction your nation caused. I'm still boycotting German products, as obviously you've learned nothing and have no remorse.
108. Feed the hungry
Eileen McCabe ,   Taylorsville, UT, US   (01.19.09)
Here's a thought: how about taking the produce before it spoils and distributing it as food aid to the starving innocents in Gaza. This would be a humanitarian effort, and might win you back some customers overseas.
109. Boycott Sweden, Norway and Denmark
David ,   TA   (01.20.09)
Make your home Ikea-free!
110. send it to the palestinians
Esther ,   London   (01.21.09)
they are in need of fresh food desparately after the UN stores were decimated by IDF's attacks on gaza
111. Boycott Israel, US, UK -- ALL ZIONISTS!
Muhammad ,   Al-Quds   (01.22.09)
Boycott all zionists. They destroyed the peaceful land of Palestine. They destroyed the world economy. They wage wars to any muslim or christian or even a jewish who raises against them.
112. Give it to the people of Gaza who you have starved
Rushna ,   London   (01.22.09)
do something humane for once
113. #10
Simon ,   London, UK   (01.22.09)
I am saddened even more by reading your comments. As a DISPLACED second generation Christian Palestinian, since as you refer to it as(the Birth of Israel). Lets not forget the role of the 'Empire@ in making it happen, perhaps thats when the curse comes, not the other way round. Still, I pray that you may find out the truth - some histroy revision will be a good start.
114. Boycott hurts the innocent, but better than killing
A. Mustafa ,   NYC, USA   (01.23.09)
It is unfortunate that the boycott hurts the common man at the expense of extremists. But with unfair western policies against the Palestinians, and 60 years of oppression, what other choice is there...its better than suicide bombers???
115. What the UK doesn't like
Kev ,   UK   (01.27.09)
What we in the UK don't like is seeing children burned to death with White Phosphorus!
116. 112
Kevin ,   Carlisle UK   (01.27.09)
Exactly m8! Give the people of Gaza the fruit that is grown on THEIR LAND that has been stolen from them!
117. What goes around, comes around.
jerusalem   (02.07.09)
the West Bank cities and industries have the blockade, Why shouldnt the israeli economy have a taste of what they are going through? After all, Israel has crippled the little drips of their existing crisis of an economy, rendering them dependent on handouts without a chip on their shoulder. And whom ever is boycotting isnt blabing it to the whole world; just like the boycott of the Turkish hotels thing, its easy. before you think of "massive losses" worry about others' "massive looses" too. I remember an Aljazeera report last valentines day in which the tulip famers there suffered a "massive loss" due to the israeli blockade; whole crops were left to rot in consequence. territories on the israeli side see merchandise made within PA friendly cities like ramalla for instance, as if Gaza does not produce anything. Do not think that no one has noticed. For a people who cry "God-this" and "God-that" I see little signs of a God fearing people of actions.
118. Right to self defence
adam ,   australia   (02.08.09)
Of course you have a legit right to 'self defence'. But this does not apply to oppreSSive invaders. If you dont like the response, leave the Palestinians alone!
119. We need a "Jewish Boycott" office to check antisemites
Elly ,   Vienna, Austria   (02.09.09)
Why don't we Jews start boycotting Denmark, Sweden and Norway? We need a Jewish Boycott Office similar to the Arab Boycott office in Damascus.
120. Jordan boycotts Israel
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (02.15.09)
I just read, due to a shortage of water in Jordan,Jordan, again asks Israel to loan her water,(did they pay back the previous loan of water ?) It seems Jordan is selective in it's boycott of Israel, tipical Arab.
