The BBC news site is reporting of firing on and the killing of women, old people and children while they were carrying white flags even though the troops were very close and could see that they were unarmed civilians. The world is no longer shocked that people refer to Israel as the fourth reich and able heirs to hitlers methods of dealing with a people they see as not human and not deserving of the same respect. It doesn't really matter that you don't accept this definition, the truth is that the Israeli state is percieved as an inhumane regime guilty of war crimes. Was the state of israel not created to shelter people who had been subjected to genocidal attacks similar to your actions in Gaza. Is this where you wanted to end up... not a beacon of democracy or peace but as destroyers of children and women? There will be no long term security for Israel until it makes peace with all its neighbours. Even now it may be too late as you have based your security onto ongoing support from USA whose power will decline and its support will no longer be sufficient to protect you from hostile neighbours who are only waiting till then to tolerate you in their midst.

Cause as soon as the state of israel was created it came under attack by all surrounding arab states..this tragedy is just a continuation of previous wars, meaning the arab states are as responsible as israel for this but not attacked by palestinians, cause if they attack egypt cause it blocks rafah crossing they know the death toll will be 10000 not 1000, just like jordanian king killed tens of thousands palestinians in "black september" which i bet you dont have any idea what it is

Zara, I am pro-Israel and you are anti-Israel, but I believe that our motivations are the same. For the sake of this argument I am going to simplify things. There are 2 stories to this ongoing conflict which are mutually exclusive. The first is that israel is the monster and doesn't want peace and is killing innocent palestinians. The second is that some islamists are monsters, don't want peace and are killing innocent israelis. One of these is correct, the other is not. One of the sides in this conflict is continually lying to news agencies about what is happening on the ground and the other is not. If you would take an honest look at these two sides; one a thriving democracy with western influences and the other a fundamental islamist group ruling with an iron fist (refer to confrontations with fatah) and with the expressed aim of destroying israel (do yourself a favour and read the hamas charter on the net); you would quickly come to the conclusion that it is much more likely that hamas are the monsters and liars.

Palestinian civilian = Hamas terrorist in fighting in civilian clothing. Children? The terrorists hide in mosques and UN buildings and send children to bring them ammunition and food. Their own phosphorous bombs backfire and they blame Israel. Most of the civilian deaths were probably caused by Hamas fire anyway.

Israel defendes them selfes from outer attacks... more than 8 thousand rockets fired since 2000. The possibility of Hamas on building a longer range Missile; the constant support from Hezbolah und Iran; thousands of tunnels made by Hamas to traffic weapons and to hide them, too. Rockets send from Hamas from Schools, Mosques. Hamas has pounded the Palestinians with their weapons... what can be expected? Yes!! Children are dying, but most of thise guys are glad about that, because of Alah´s Grace is over them!! Manipulation, provocation between the two sides... If Hamas susrvives, West countries will have to think what to do, really, with increasing terrorismo sponsord by the Arab World!!

I say to the Gazans this: If you lay down with dogs,you wakeup with fleas. Bottom line our IDF/IAF must continue the attatcks and hit the BIG BOYS who are hiding in their bunkers.How about it dear IDF ?come on! find them and kill them all.It wil serve the Gaza population well.I am sure they are fed up with the ongoing terror perpetrated through Haniyeh/Hamas. It seems to me,they still have many high grade rockets they have saved for further attacks on the Jewish civilian residents.This job of urban warfare is difficult and cannot be achieved quickly.We must be patient and wishing our boys good luck AND MAY OUR GOOD LORD keep them safe from the harm by the THUGS.
