I agree with the second part of your post and disagree with the first. Many Israeli tourists are rude and should learn how to behave as guests. However, the conflict between the Jews and the Arabs long predates the 1967 occupation and even predates the 1948 establishment of Israel. Arabs do not want ANY jewish presence in the Middle East. Today, some among the Fatah have agreed to allow a Jewish state but only because they see no other way. They do not do so on principled grounds. The Arab society in Gaza is evolving to join the rest of humanity. The Hamas are learning the idea of consequences for their acts and so are the citizens. Remember, please, that the citizens of Gaza voted for Hamas on a platform of a proven commitment to terrorism. The "innocent civilians" of Gaza looked at Hamas and said "they promise more rocket fire and more suicide bombings, I like this platform, I will vote for them." Well, what else did they expect will happen? Did they expect Hamas to provide peace or security? They, too are evolving. This is the main reason I cried for the civilians in Lebanon that were put in harm's way by Hezbollah but shed not a tear for the people of Gaza. Unlike Hezbollah who bullied its way into power and held the residents of Lebanon hostage, the people of Gaza overwhelmingly wanted Hamas. Hamas did not lie but kept all its campaign promises. Now the fools in Gaza can eat Kassams, if there is no bread around. Next time, vote for the lesser terrorists, the Fatah.
