I'm not Jewish, and I have always opposed the occupation and settlements. Nevertheless, Al-Jazeera seems incapable of logic. Hence: If Hamas attacks Israel with rockets, Israel will fight back. Hamas has attacked Israel with rockets. THEREFORE, Israel is fighting back. I suspect that many, if not a majority, of Gazans understand this logic and secretly despise Hamas. Al-Jazeera coverage is one-sided. It irresponsibly repeats and justifies the Hamas victimhood cant without reflecting on the Hamas leaders' depravity. They brought Israel, after many warnings, down on Gaza. What did they expect would happen to the people? Maybe the reporter could have asked the mother whether her children would be safer if Hamas stopped rocketing Israeli towns. The news anchor questioning the Israeli graduated from the Hannity School of Dishonest Interviewing. He barraged the interviewee with non-sequiters and dismissals of unhelpful facts. He claimed that the Israelis should not be surprised at Hamas's actions in view of Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands. He ignores that Israel does not occupy Gaza and that Hamas did not shoot the rockets until after Israel withdrew. He also overlooks that Hamas wants Israel's destruction. Hamas will never give up until it is disarmed or destroyed. Hamas leaders will not stop their hopeless campaign because they are prisoners of their own revenge fantasies. Unfortunately, the Gazans can not save themselves from Hamas. Only if the world forces Hamas's disbanding or disarming will the Gazans find peace. The Al-Jazeera propagandists don't help.

"halt all violence" is a real stylish way to say that there could be some justification for the total disregard for human life by these terrorists (even for each others, and selves) empowered "authority" and attempting to make that a be country, compared to the ONLY democracy in the middle east's army sent to defend it's citizens !
