It's not possible to stop arms smuggling - where there's a will, there's a way. Full cooperation from Egypt will NOT be forthcoming. The arms smuggling is the symptom, not the disease - and the disease is Iran. ''Curing" Iran is the only effective way to stop MOST arms smuggling, but even then, not all. We have already seen how the world stopped arms smuggling to Hizbollah - not at all, they now have three times more missiles than before the Lebanon fiasco. My guess is even if it is not possible to stop all arms smuggling, with US and Egypt or probably France too involved, the smuggling will be greatly limited. Gaza doesn't have the geographic advantage like Lebanon, where the smuggling can come from more directions.

Will soneone please expalin to me why Israel has to be armed to the teeth with whatever weapons their hearts desire including nuclear provided by the US and other Western countries and Gaza and Iran are not allowed to arm themselves also..
