Why does the Jewish/Muslim conflict have to invade our lives in the civilized world every day? The media obsession is outrageous. Sweden has an immigration problem which has nothing to do with Israel or Palestine. If they crack down on Muslim immigrants it does not mean they are pro-Israel. It means they are pro-Swedish Nationals. For the record if I buy a car from a Muslim it doesn't make me anti-Jewish either. Take your conflict back to the Middle East where it belongs. Decent people don't respect or support those who fight. rape, maim and kill for real estate especially when it goes on for thousands of years. Go home and wipe each other out if that's your will but don't force me to be a part of it.

Europe, and Sweden in particular must open its eyes now or it will be too late. In the next 20-30 years Swedes will be a minority in their own country. It is true that the counter-demonstrators' behavior constituted misconduct. Adults and civilized persons have a responsibility to keep their emotions sufficiently in check that they do not resort to 'getting physical.' Throwing eggs and other objects constitutes getting physical and they knew better than to act that way. While their misconduct ought not be excused, I suppose I can also, for what it's worth, understand how they allowed their emotions to get the better of themselves. Frustration-- and grief. There's no getting around that the Gaza fighting resulted in nearly 1,300 people dying. Many of them were civilians, children, or totally innocent. And nearly all of them died by the hands of IDF personnel. Granted, those in Gaza that were deemed innocent were not deliberately targeted. But, given the sheer number of people that died, a grieving heart or frustrated heart is soothed little by being told that those that died were 'collateral damage' rather than 'intended targets.' While the counter-demonstrators are deserving of penalties for their misconduct, I think that on a certain level, they are also entitled to some sympathy from us as well.

There was a lot of police at the rally. They could have protected the Pro Israel rally and dispersed the Arab mob, if they had wished to do that. But now they are under orders to do as little as possible when it comes to rioting Arabs. As a consequence freedom of speech is limited for other citizens.

Lets get a few things straight here. Israel broke the recent truce when they invaded gaza on November 14th and killed 5 Hamas members. This broke the truce and caused the rocket attacks to resume. Israel is no civilized society slaughtering innocent people just to steal thier land for Jews to occupy. It causes its own pain with i'ts poor behavior. I forget the Hebrew word but it is essentially called "crying and shooting". Israel and Jews who claim israel is the representatives of the Jewish faith, makes jews that do not support Israels actions look as bad as the ones pulling the trigger and that is unfair in itself. Additonally, many palestinians are christians and suffer the same under Israels claws...religion matters not when it comes to Israels willingness to occupy, steal from and kill. To the 2-3 hundred supporters your reporter must have added the pro-Palestinian protestors to reach the sum of seven hundred. * An open and painful lie is the mention of the so called Sweden´s Democratic Party (Sverigedemokraterna) as one of the organizers of the manifestation. The Sverigedemokraterna is a near neo-fascist, xenofobic party not represented in the Swedish parliament. It would not have been good for Jews in Sweden, if this party would have had anything to say. Yes, one member of this party was seen among the Israel-supporters, but it is an offence to the Jewish community in Malmo to state that this party was a co-organizer of the manifestation.
