Israeli children have also suffered from trauma thanks to years of terrorist attacks. The palestinian school books still list all of Israel and Palestine the books and teachers preach hatred. Lets not pretend here that these kids would have grown up to be our friends if there had been no military operation. This is idealist left wing thinking.

I have heard it so many times, "Israel now created hatred in this generation" or "more extremists." Hamas has regularly called for the extermination of Israel. Mohammad Zahar called for the killing of Jewish children all over the world. Hamas broadcasts its odious message to the Gaza population by tv, radio, in class rooms, and from the mosque. Children's programs show and tell children that their highest calling is to kill Jews. Children are marched around in Hamas uniforms with suicide belts taped to them. The children and the adults have been taught to hate and demonize Jews and Israelis. This is what created the hatred in the general population and in Gaza's children. Nothing the Israelis did or could do, could create a more extremist element in Gaza.

You have constantly been force-fed stories of your "violent upbringing" in the Holy Land, and it is a must for you to hear the other side speak out- and to realize that they are suffering MUCH more than you are. Also, just like many of you have been born into this conflict (without having made any say on the matter), so is the case for the majority of the Palestinians. You've inherited a deep-rooted hatred that your forefathers have carried for over 80 years now. But then again, the Palestinians are not responsible for your Holocaust (or persecution). They did, however, have to pay for incidentally residing on a land "reserved for"- but not owned by- "God's chosen people". So it's not as simple as Israelis would like to make it seem.

I speak as a teacher of long standing, who has had to draw on every ounce of psychology to bring my “children” (gentle, mean and disturbed) where I wanted them. For this reason too, I am outraged at what passes for education in Pals schools. I BLAME GING TOTALLY.

I was a 5- 7 year old kid when the bombs fell. I am now 70. Trust me, kids don't forget that stuff. The worst part is you don't even realize how much it shapes your outlook. Don't tell me either that Israelis don't enjoy war. Just look at your ZebkaFile news: Three front page adds constantly replaying rockets exploding. That is a result of the victim reshaping process. We understand the history of Israel. Most Israelis have fought in at least one war if not several. Wars of survival. Wars which they did not start. The deep rooted hatred against Israel by Palestinians is taught to them in their textbooks. This is not the case in Israel. Israel has been trying to disengage from the Palestinians but the Palestinians sustain the occupation because they can't survive without Israel. This has nothing to do with the Holocaust. Israel is not Arab land but it is a Jewish state and isn't that what bothers you and why you keep referring to Israelis as "God's chosen people"?

They hated Jews prior to 1948. But speaking of the Holocaust, I think one of their leaders was allied with Hitler ;) These Arabs were not responsible for the Holocaust because they were driven out before they could do the Jews in. Don't think they wouldn't have tried.

If the Palestinians (Hamas, Fatah, etc.) put down their weapons, they will gain peace, prosperity, increased health and educational opportunities. If Israel puts down its weapons, the Jews will be butchered. When Israel pulled out of Gaza, the people of that small, overpopulated region had a choice -- become the next Singapore or languish in war and destruction. They destroyed a $120 Million US$ flower and agricultural business center along with everything owned by the Jews. That is the tragedy that the children of Gaza face -- their parents hate Israel far more then they Love their own children.

So the Palestinians are suffering MUCH more? So what? They are the authors of their own suffering. The more they can advertise their "suffering" the more attention and sympathy they get from tools like you. The Arabs (there were no Palestinians in the 1940's) could have welcomed their brethren with open arms on the 99.99% of the Middle East which is exclusively Arab, including the artificial "Kingdom" of Jordan which was created to be a homeland for the Arabs of Palestine. Instead, the other Arab countries have used these people as their attack dogs in order to destroy the little scrap of land that Jews live on. Sometimes it IS that simple.

There is no way Israel will be able to erase the years of brainwashing and teaching hatred to the children of Gaza. It is not our responsibility. Even today, according to YNET artcle, HAMAS will not abandon its only mission which is the destruction of Israel and Murder of All Jews and Israelis. There is no hope of ever living in peace with the terrorists and their protog'es. As such the only lessons we can teach them are: 1. You are responsible for your actions. 2. For every terrorist act there is a terrible price that you will pay. 3. The pain of the retribution will be so great and devastating that you better not even think of attacking us. 4. You started the terror with the massacres of Jews nearly 100 years ago and subsequently began multiple wars against us with multiple countries and each time we won and grew stronger exponentially. 5. No Arab country came to help Gaza and they won't risk it in the future. They give lip service and token demonstations. They promise billions but never deliver the goods. Gaza is only a token symbol of a fleeting time in ancient history with Salah A Din that will never return. 5. Learn to accept your responsibility for your actions and failures or you will pay dearly for any terrorist actions. 6. Your only hope for survival is to refocus your efforts and channel them into positive directions. The only other hope of survival is an exit strategy.

The so-called Palestinian children have been taught hatred at the behest of the PLO for the past 25 years. The Gaza war brought on by Hamas's 8 years of trying to murder and maim Israelis is not any kind of initiating occurance. From birth, those children are weaned on hatred, by the time they are 6 years old they are given toy weapons to acquaint them with the necessity of killing Israelis, even if it means making martyrs of themselves. The UN is an absolute failure. Their determinations are to be mouthpieces for Hamas and any other terrorist organization. Palestinian suffering is on a magnitude well beyond that of Israeli children, none of whom died in the three week conflict (compared to 300-400 or so children). #1- Yoel, you never cared for the Palestinian children who have been suffering for decades, way way before the first suicide bombs or rockets.
