1. security matters today are run by the liberals
zionist forever   (01.26.09)
In recent years security has seemed to mean less and less in Israel and politicly correct liberal attitudes have replaced them. First the use of even mild torture to get possible life saving information out of terrorists. Then they banned the destruction of terrorists houses in both Israel and the territories. Now the wiretapping. The police do have to be controled with their wire tapping agreed but we also need to balance security with control not end up to far the other way. Security needs to stop being treated as such a liberal issue because take your eye off the ball even once and it can cost lives.
2. No Big Deal. No Castration.
Gideon Reader   (01.26.09)
If the police or any other investigative entity wants or needs to intercept a wire or cyber communication or covertly intrude by such into the personal affairs of any person(s) that they suspect of committing an offense against the law; they *NEED* to present some probable cause to believe that there is in fact an offense taking place or that will take place, and that the ***ONLY***way left open to them is by such intrusion. A Warrant then should issue. If not, and it is not a "ticking bomb" situation, there is NO justification for the warrantless intrusion. Warrants are NOT a stumbling block to skilled LEO's. (G.Reader is a retired LEO with more than 34 years of service)
