1. A Vote for Ovaries? Or National Survival?
Gideon Reader   (01.26.09)
Ziperette, the famous "Mossad Beauty" appears to believe that the shared form of reproductive organs is sufficient reason for the voting females of Israel, to disregard her inability to perform any factual relatable success or fully competent function during her many years as a professional polititurd. Serial incompetence and continued malpractice in appointed positions held in the past and lack of articulaetable sustainable platform of the political party she currently chairs, is sufficient cause for women to disregard Giveret Livni as a suitable candidate for elevation to the position of Prime Minister of the State. The ability to maintain the safety of the nation trumps a candidates secretions of estrogen. She is an obvious failure, who is separated from Olmert in a line up, only by the dedication towards one's personal enrichment as opposed to ambition for higher office. She is disaster of a political meal in a slow cooker, waiting to be served up to careless diners.
2. Livni, Barak Et Al In Fantasy World
Brana Lobel ,   Israel   (01.26.09)
What does she mean "ideology" when speaking of women? This divorces women even more from the real world where they need to be doing a range of things, not looking to Livni as a role model. Women leaders don't just stand for "peace"; look at Hillary Clinton. Look at Golda Meir. How about Devorah? When you are a leader, you do what you have to do for your country. You represent and lead the people. I wish these tired out-of-step pols would quit citing the Scandinavian countries. Do they mean Sweden and Norway, which are producing enormous official anti-Semitic backlash? Does the gender of their reps really make a difference? I am sorry that there aren't more women on the right, and more women in the limelight speaking out. As much as I think women should advance and become educated (those who want to) I would never vote for a woman just because she was a woman. Sadly it is much more difficult in politics to be a strong woman than a strong man.
3. They're not ashamed of feminism
Meir   (01.26.09)
Even though this ideology has destroyed the family and the fabric of society.
4. Livni is NOT a woman
5th generation ,   Israel   (01.26.09)
She is a teenager with wrinkles.
5. Livni is not a woman
Wanda ,   Montreal   (01.26.09)
She's a psychopath.
6. Tzipi discriminating men?
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (01.26.09)
Who cares if the leaders are men or women? What I care about is that Israeli politicians are LOYAL to Israel, COMPETENT, INTELLIGENT, EDUCATED, EXPERIENCED, GOOD/MORAL and CHARISMATIC. Rest is bullshit. If Israel wants to be a liberal democracy I think its time that both men and women quit the "gender issue" and treat each other on a mutual and equal basis - if you treat me well, I'll treat you well. If you screw with me I'll screw you. Simple. And I don't care if it is gender issues or something else. Women should not be discriminated but on the other hand women shouldn't make such a fuss over being women in power, because it gives bad vibes to us men. Women speaking that way are not representing me. Every time I hear women politicians saying "vote for me-I'm a woman", I knows she is 1) Stupid 2) Biased 3) Discriminatory 4) Has lost her focus
7. what they all have to say to women
zionist forever   (01.26.09)
LIVNI - lets us girls stick together BIBI - i support gender equality BARAK - we have female fighter pilots Non of them are offering any real justification for woman to vote for them but Livni is probably doing a better job than the boys. Tthey need to get their act together start offering women some good reason to vote for them if they are not interested in voting because of whats good for the country as a whole.
8. women

I think in alot of cases the old fashioned gender equality idea has simply been reveresed so now woman are more equal than men. Likud have spots reserved spesificly for women. A man has to earn his seat. Now in many cases a woman simply because of her sex gets a spot specialy reserved ( which is the clause that Natanyahu used to get rid of Felgin ) Some women who are not as qualified as a man for a job will say the job should go to them because they are a woman and its sexual discrimination as an excuse to get the job. She is the downtrodden woman so she deserves it, qualifications are a minor issue. The courts also when a couple get divorced even if the man wants custody even if he is in a better position to look after the child than the mother she is the one that usualy will be given custody simply because of her sex. In South Africa the end of apartheid didnt mean equal rights the system just reveresed so now whites are disciminated against. In many cases once the group that fornerly were not treated equaly when they got it they then turned it around so they unofficialy they became the ones with more rights. Livni will probably end up getting the womans vote simply because of her sex. Both Hilary Clinton & Sarah Palin not as succesfully tried the trick. Obama was very succesful in getting the black vote which I am sure had alot to do with his skin colour. We still havn't worked out that equality should mean a level playing field not just reversing the old situation so we can say look no discrimination here.
10. Tzipi Livni is a GOOD follower
kurt ,   sd   (01.27.09)
Tzipi Livni is a GOOD follower. She will uphold the letter of the law closer than most politicians. Her reputation is impeccable. The only issue is sometimes the majority rule should not be followed. She lacks the righteous barometer to know when not to listen to outside sources when it comes to peace deals proposed by outside countries.
11. What hope exactly does Livni bring to women ??
Ronit ,   Israel   (01.27.09)
the hope that if your daddy was a famous politician with good connections, you too can be in the Knesset?
