I do understand you current oil price concern, but still I think you are more capable of inviting your brothers to your home. Just take care to teach them some manners - it is not a good taste to fire missiles to your Sheikh Palace
32. #19, Peter Hansen said the same thing
Danny   (01.28.09)
That the UNWRA hires people who work for Hamas. He was perfectly open about it.
33. #5, here is all the whole quote
Danny   (01.28.09)
"The real debate, then, is not whether to have an empire, but what kind. Should America pursue a go-it-alone strategy as it did in 1910, when the United States exerted its power largely at the point of the bayonet and ignored the views of others? Or should it be the empire of 1950, when Washington embedded American power in multilateral institutions that reflected American interests but also constrained its freedom of action?" - sounds a bit different in context doesn't it.... http://www.brookings.edu/opinions/2003/0510iraq_daalder.aspx

This is the one you are trying to smear: http://www.utexas.edu/lbj/faculty/james-lindsay/ This is the author of the article: http://www.washingtoninstitute.org/templateC10.php?CID=55 Dangers of simply googling for dirt I guess

36. # 12 UN is the problem not the solution.
Sylvia ,   USA   (02.02.09)
Dear Dr. Barr, Thank you for an excellent letter, you are absolutely correct, the gravy train has got to stop. When that happens even terrorists will have to work to earn a living. The UN relief was never intended to last 3 generations, About 25 years ago I met professor Joseph Michaelic, a few years prior he worked for the UN and had visited "Palestinian Refugees" in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt. The reaction of this fine and gentle man was of total dismay. He stated that UNWRA has replaced the burden of the so called refugees to earn a living, he reaffirmed that many of the people receiving aid had never been displaced, they were just poor Jordanians, Syrian, Lebanese and Egyptians.
37. Lindsay's Article
James ,   Washington DC   (03.28.09)
Lindsay was not dismissed from his post, contrary to what some talkbacks have said. He retired from UNRWA in August 2006 and was actually asked to come back from March to August 2007 as UNRWA had been unable to find a suitable replacement.
