I just reviewed the video of the Davos forum. It boggles the mind how anyone in Israel could consider Egypt or Turkey allies given the attitudes of their representatives. Erdogan and Moussa tried to put Israel in the dock, throwing charge after scurilous charge. The UN's Ban Ki Moon just joined the pile up but focusing only on the grave "humanitarian crisis" in Gaza while ignoring every other such crisis in the world. Perhaps it was the intense assaults on his country, but I'm surprised after all these years Peres still struggles with English. I did tire - as I usually do - of the constant "We want peace!" refrain, and the overly kind words he had for Arafat and Abbas.
