2. Hamas simply doesn't learn its lesson
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (02.01.09)
So to educate this stubborn bully, we would have to spank him harder and harder until the lesson finally gets through. 10 more terrorists killed? 20? 50? 100? Whatever it takes to break them.

7. can anyone run this country properly?
vashDi ,   israel   (02.01.09)
what is becoming of us? our soldiers should have been given enough respect and support to finish the job like they "nearly" did couple of weeks ago, they were so close, but NO barak, livni and olmart had to spoil the show by letting the fat lady(un) sing before it was over. and now sadly our fellow israelies are under attack again. screw you government, i dont see the point in voting. long live Israel
8. CEASEFIRE FARCE
Art Hurwitz ,   Syd   (02.01.09)
What an utter face this so-called "ceasefire" was. (Like every single "ceasefire"before it). Geez ham-ass must be laughing now. Big response?? let's see. Wasn't a big response promised when that IDF soldier was killed last week ? Ham-ass should've been destroyed when we had the chance. What a pathetic, weak and ineffectual leadership we have right now. Bring on the election and lets get rid of these losers
9. israel defeated
ikolan ,   iz   (02.01.09)
Gaza owns Israel
10. No reports here of such a thing occuring...

11. Afghan roadside bomb kills Canadian soldier...
Ypip ,   Canada   (02.01.09)
That's the story here.
12. Dirty rotten pack of liars!
Jjjay3 ,   Israel   (02.01.09)
We have heard this bs before. Since the truce, we are still getting rockets, so where is the response? Yesterday a missile landed in Ashkelon....no response! And why is Israel protecting the Hamass leadership? Surely Haniyah and his stooges should of been the first to be targeted? Olmert. Livni and Barak hold no accountability what so ever.....these crooks should be n jail for treason!
13. Too Stupid to Defeat Hamas
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.01.09)
This is the dead end road which the Isralei left ahs taken Israel to. They have no concept of defeating ones enemies before israel can have real peace.
14. There is nothing like proportionate or disproportionate!
Daniel ,   Israel   (02.01.09)
When Hamas shoots 100 kilo rocket at our unarmed civilians, what is proportion? Why should we bother when we use excess arms and ammunitions?
15. will olmert still be in charge after kadima is voted out?
yahn goodey   (02.01.09)
i must have missed the news about olmert's victory against the corruption charges he once faced? wasn't he supposed to step down so livni could run the kadima circus while he fought those battles? will the next prime minister that israel votes for just have to shut up and keep out of olmert's way?
16. Olmert"s "disproportionate response"
Oskar Prager ,   Petach Tikva   (02.01.09)
That wonderful trio - Olmert,Livni, Barak. Words, words, words, who are they trying to impress - the voters ? Hamas ? Yet we, the public have to suffer because that trio cannot make up their mind what they themselves call disproportionate. Maybe they should just let the IDF have a free hand. When you think about it, that "trio" is really an infantile lot. We the public need to rid ourselves from them.
17. "Olmert vows.."
Izik ,   Talmon   (02.01.09)
How pathetic!
18. the 1% appeasement parties had their chance
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.01.09)
In December, they had the opportunity to deal aa fatal blow to the hamasstan enemy. Again, as they did in lebanon, they were more concerned with appeasement than our security. On February 10th they will be pushed aside and a government, truly more concerned with our security than appeasing the enemy and its supporters, will be elected. Then and only then will an ADEQUATE response be fashioned and fulfilled. DO US ALL A FAVOUR livni olmert and barak-save your embarrassment and leave now voluntarily!
19. Disproportionate Response????
ME   (02.04.09)
Disproportionate response? Doesn't that sound just plain wrong? This is probably the kind of idea USA and Israel claim only a terrorist would hold, and I thought Israel always said it was FIGHTING terrorists?!... Using disproportionate force is simply against humanity, it doesn't take a genius to work that out.
