Although it may not sound so democratic, I will say I wish... But Erdogan and his government are very good at oppressing the seculars and the military. While doing this, Erdogan has been getting a great support of the EU as they both wanted to weaken Ataturk's principles and limit the role of seculars and the military in Turkiye. Surely the military is closely watching Erdogan especially when Erdogan is busy with imprisoning secular nationalists. I'm hoping a way out for Erdogan and his party AKP with the elections so we won't need a military coup. But I also hope this time outsiders(EU, US or whoever) won't back up Erdogan's goverment against the seculars as they did in 2002 and 2007 elections.

Turks have nothing to hide about this, all Ottoman archives are OPEN and anyone can/must do historical research to learn what happened then. Turkey has been inviting Armenia and all parts which were involved in this case the British, French, Russians, Germans. But Armenians keeps REFUSING to research this! Hovewer, it is Armenian archives in Armenia and in Jerusalem which are being kept CLOSED. WHY??? Also some key documents in French archives are removed. Is there anything they would like to hide??? Without primary sources and historical evidence nothing can be claimed as genocide. Just because there are voices who claim that this was a genocide does not make it the truth. Propoganda doesn't make history. It only deceives people and humanity. Let's research if you don't have anything to hide and then we'll sort out what needs to be recognised.

We may have good relations with Turkey with certain business & military issues but an islamic state is never going to side with a jewish state over an arab. When Syria wanted Turkey to return land they told Assad senior to go to hell and they won. When Syria wants Israel to return land Turkey supports Assads demads and pretends to be the honest mediator. Turkey condems Israel for the Gaza operation but they are continuing to fight in Iraq. Turkey can have `land Syria wants but Israel can't Turkey can fight wars to defend its interests but Israel can't. Its always one rule for the arabs & muslims and another for Israel. We need to get rid of all mediators. Turkey, US, Europe non of them have ever done us any favours they all want us to give away the Golan. We need a strong government thats going to say that the Golan belongs to us Mr Assad now you can either make peace for the sake of peace and maybe a small part of the Golan as a prize but we are not interested in anything anybody else has to say. REAL PEACE IS NOT PIECE OF PAPER

in our foreign policies, the big difference is the trusth of USA.USA is the first country , whom israel can believe totally , but USA is one of the last countries that turks select about safety. for this reason the trust of government is always so low in Turkey and it always encumbers our moves at international area.
