1. We never learn
Mark ,   Maale Adumim   (02.03.09)
Israel never learns that when they start a job they should finish it no matter what the world says.
2. eliminate Mashaal, now!
Michael Ezrachi ,   St. Louis, USA   (02.03.09)
Once again, olmert, livni, and barak failed. Just like lebanon, they failed to finish the job. I hope, after the election, Israel will have a government that will not lack the political will to finish the job. That means first, taking out the hamas leadership in syria. after, mashaal is dealt with, then nasrallah needs to be silenced. And, if the world won't doing anything about iran, Israel should. and chavez should be told, if anymore synagogues or Jews are harmed, he will pay. Also, Israel should not deal with abbas, he's nothing but, an empty suit. I hope Israel elects a new government that does not include, kadima, labor or meretz. However, any former likud members of kadima that reject the failed policies of kadima should be welcomed back.
3. The attacks will get worse until Ashkelon is a desolation,
Rivkah   (02.03.09)
Zephaniah chapter 2 warns. But Israel wins eventually since the Lord will fight for His people.
4. DESPITE the ALLEDGED CEASEFIRE....
jan   (02.03.09)
It's getting boring. This constant repetition of the same stupid words uttered, and/or written by the same stupid " know-it-all " experts. Of course, we must thank the stupid politicians for bringing us to this stage of "deja vu". What have we gained with our forray into Gaza?,except showing us, the world ,that we have tanks, f-16's,night vision, guided munution, and that THEY, the barbarians, are simply no match to our might. The reply would have to be ;little or nothing. We still have red alerts every day; we still have rockets and mortar fire(so far) every day;we still have equally the same hollow statements by the same hollow managers of our Knesset. What's next? a bullseye in one of our classroom?
5. Give away Ha Shomron & destroy Tel Aviv
David ,   Shilo Israel   (02.03.09)
The 'whole' of the Gaza strip became Hamas territory after Israel gave away Gush Katif, which also allowed longer range missile attacks on Israel from the expanded Hamas region. Now is the time to remind fellow Jews of the real threat they will face if G-d forbid the central hill country would fall into so called 'friendly' Arab hands today, only to end up in hostile hands tomorrow. Tel Aviv & the airport amongst other key targets will surely be well within range....end of story!
6. Barak Livni
Joseph ,   Israel   (02.03.09)
And some people still plan to vote for Barak and Livni
7. IDF Failed Again !!!!
Peace Now ,   Ramallah   (02.03.09)
This rocket proves 100% that IDF is failed again , Palestinians defeated IDF on the land of Palestine for the first time , and this could be just the bigining , more faliures will happen in the future, ( read what Ben Gorion said about that ) .
8. wow good job men !
Palestinian ,   gaza - hamas land   (02.03.09)
Center of Ashkelon nice shot .... the cast leed was very succeful op loooooool
9. Not enough unoccupied buildings were hit
Johnny Warfare   (02.03.09)
Successful formula for warfare: 1) Alert your enemies exactly when and where you'll strike, thus sparing the terrorists' lives 2) Only strike empty buildings 3) Don't take out the essential infrastructure (electric, phone, fuel), you don't want to constrain the terrorists Well, good luck!
10. Vote Kadima if you want missiles falling on your head.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (02.03.09)
How's that for a campaign slogan??? Doves of Peace, my tuchas.
11. Bad sign from Palestinian side
Zuri ,   Sydney Australia   (02.03.09)
I am so annoyed, many Israelis wanted a cease fire and opposed any millitary action against Gaza people, however it's seems pointless as leadership of Gaza and Palestinians are LAWLESS and have no regards to the cost of human lives. they are shooting from amongst innocent civilians and do not respect ANY AGREEMENT Israel cannot and will not tollerate attacks on Israeli targets the biggest problem is how can you achieve peace with terrorists?
12. Despite the alledged ceasefire.....
Jan   (02.03.09)

13. YOUR V O T E
Dave ,   Israel   (02.03.09)
In a few days we are going to vote There will be a lot of people voting on a white valet with the name GILAD SHALIT handwritten on it in protest to our zig zag leadership
14. Arab Beligerency Continues
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (02.03.09)
It seems that the recent clobberfest in Gaza was not enough to teach our Arab neighbors that their foolishness has to stop immediately. They are inviting more and severer responses from Israel resulting in further hardships and suffering among their own people. Are they masochists? Or are they just plain nuts?
15. Rockets in Ashkelon
Archie Bunker   (02.03.09)
Boy the Way The Arabs use to fear Israel's might,Israel wound't run from the fight.. Those were the days.... didn't need no UN ,or anyone saying stop, missons were completed,Arabs were defeated Those were the Days...and you knew what you were then, strong, and proud didn't fear the world opinion crowd. Those were the days Our leadership was brave didn't care what the world leaders had to say those were the days Mr we could use a leadership that we could be proud of again! In short Israeli people get rid of those Meatheads you have in government and get some leadership that is strong, uncorrupted and will take the game to the enemy!
16. The leaders of both peoples stupid !!
man ,   palestine occupied   (02.03.09)
due to their stupidity We have death , destruction and haterd for both our people.
17. YELLOW JOURNALISM
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (02.03.09)
The mindless mantra producing Israeli media , who keep on using the word ceasefire without any reason , as they use the word peace and other empty wording . This yellow journalism shows , the lack of insight, lazyness and inaptness , that has the become the trademark of our arrogant elite. There is this constant barrage of verbology through the internet that is not backed by a reality on the ground , were we come out as loosers time and again. In a next call up to fight , we as the people have to insist on a commitment by game playing politicians , once they go to war , to reach clear set objectives. The calling of ceasefires and the blatant disregard of the citizens of this country by traitorous political hacks , with support of an even more corrupt media , has gone far enough.
18. Israel needs leader who don't cave to pressure
(02.03.09)
Let's pray that the next Israeli PM is not an American puppet.
19. The response should be
Susan ,   Jerusalem   (02.03.09)
that for every rocket they send, we take over [temporarily] 3 meters of land into Gaza, destroying any structure in the way. We move the border in 3 meters. This way the rockets will stop immediately . Hopefully no one will die,but their LAND will be under our control until such time that there is sufficient quiet and we will withdraw in stages. Try it out!!!
20. The Magic solution to the conflict
man ,   palestine occupied   (02.03.09)
Ending the Israeli occupation of the territories occupied since 67 (including gaza , west bank, east joursalim) is the only solution for both peoples to live in peace and security.
21. No! driver, the miracle has been due day time
observer   (02.03.09)
the alert system does not function in night time because it depends on seeing the rocket's tail of smoke.
22. GUYS ! NO PANIC. BIBI WILL FINISH THIS ALL.

26. The PM & PM wannabes waved the white flag to Hamas
zionist forever   (02.03.09)
Olmert the washed out PM & the two PM wannabes Livni and Barak sure did a good job with Gaza. The IDF were well on their way to finishing off Hamas as a fighting force in Gaza and destroying the smuggling network. We could have forced Hamas into such a weak position that they would not only accept a ceasefire on our terms but we may even have got Gilad Shalit back as part of the deal. Instead so Livni & Barak could get back to their election campaigns while they were the heros of the hour chose a unilateral ceasefire & pulled out the troops before we got commitments on anything like a bunch of idiots. Now we are not firing on Hamas but they are firing on us and their demands for Gilads release have not moved an inch. We are looking at best to a 1 year ceasefire which is all Hamas needs to repair the damage done to them in Gaza and rearm. The terms of this ceasefire made 1701 look like a good deal. At least after Lebanon Hizbullah stopped firing their rockets. this time we have ended the war. Hamas are still firing rockets so what was achieved by spending billions of dollars on a war which resulted in the death of Israelis soilders & civilians. Why not just agree to Hamas demands for a 6 month hudna. The talks that Egypt and Hamas are holding seems to be offering exactly what Hamas demanded before the war but we are being offered a 12 month hudna rather than a 6 month one. If the IDF hoped to restore the deterent that we lost in Lebanon then we failed, during the war we got it back then when we made this politicly motivated ceasefire we lost it again and today the terrorists are laughing at us even harder than they did after we screwed up Lebanon.
27. 7
zionist forever   (02.03.09)
Without any doubt the IDF won in Gaza. Treacherous trio Olmert, Livni and Barak are the ones that handed the victory to Hamas with their blessings. If the IDF had been allowed to finish the job they started Hamas would be history as a faighting force in Gaza for many many year to come. All the terror groups would be looking at the IDF`in fear that next time they will be on the receiving end if the push Israel to far. I wouldn't be giving to much credit to Hamas if I were you, they didn't earn it in battle that honour goes to the IDF.
