1. erdogan just upset that his true feelings are out
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.06.09)
What we have now is an attempt to reverse reality: the reality that the islamist party now in control in Turkey seeks to deny the Shoah - much like ahmadinejad and the vatican do. By accidentally posting their true beliefs, the islamists are in no position to question or judge us.
2. Any Jew that visits Turkey today
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.06.09)
Even with the 'incentives' issued by the Turkish tourism industry, is causing harm to Israel and Jews. By issuing the 'incentives' we have proven the impromptu boycott of Turkey works. We must now maintain it, preferring to spend our money in more "Jew-friendly" environments. I can think of many places right here at home that are better destinations than any spot in an openly anti-Semitic state
3. Now, the Turkish human rights
(02.06.09)
organization should get into their own holocaust of the Armenian population of about 1.5 million and bring the culprits' grand-grand children to court. If they don't do it, be sure someone else will do it. This way, Erdogan's millitarist islamist policies of fraternity with Iran and the worst Islamo-fascists will come to fruition.
4. There is a difference between anti Semetic and anti Israel
Egyptian 3569   (02.06.09)
The reporters who write the newspapers should have the education to differentiate between both. What is in Turkey is anti Israel actions but not anti the SEM race.
5. Turkey withour feathers; Now you can see their true color
Zohan ,   Tel Aviv   (02.06.09)
6. Turkey's Double standards
Ben ,   Haifa Israel   (02.06.09)
Could Turkey kindly explain what has happened to Abdullah Ocalan, the Kurdish leader that was kidnaped from Kenya in 1999, brought back to Turkey and sentenced to death? Strange world we live in!
7. Since years we knew Erdogan was a ranting antisemite
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (02.06.09)
We have known for years that Erdogan was a ranting antisemite.
8. #2 Who died and put you in charge?
David ,   Los Angeles   (02.06.09)
I don't know who you think you are, but you certainly come off as a self-righteous blowhard. There is a discussion to be had about this, not your bossy lectures!
9. To #8
leo ,   USA   (02.06.09)
It is very simple decision to make. You either go or do not go. What is there to discuss? Discount on price of your self-respect?
10. To #4
leo ,   USA   (02.06.09)
Stop kidding yourself, honey. Denial of Holocaust got nothing to do with critique of Israeli actions. And it is being branded exactly as it is.
11. #6 Why do you even speak about things you don't even know?
(02.06.09)
This attempt makes you look laughable because of your ignorance. Ocalan was not sentenced to death, there is no death sentence in Turkey. Ocalan was captured in 1999, tried and serving a life sentence in one of the Princess Islands off the coast of Istanbul.
12. Turkey - Pot Calls Kettle Black!
Dan ,   Tel Aviv / London   (02.06.09)
Edrogan should consider the fact that Turkey illegally invaded and occopies to this day haf of the soverign nation of Cyprus, propping up a non-recognized Turkish Cypriot Gov't. Turkey has also yet to admit to the Armenian Genocide, and have laws on books which discriminate against free speech if it "insults Turkishness." Turkey is a joke.
13. Turkish "prosecutors" have ZERO authority so who cares what
Erdogan SUXXX ,   usa   (02.06.09)
they think? Let's see what Armenian prosecutors have to say about Turkish innumerable war crimes. Didn't the Turks invent the term "Take No Prisoners?" Sanctimonious hypocrites!
14. What Jew in there right mind ?
jsm   (02.06.09)
would anything to do with Turkey?
15. #4 A philosemite antizionist
Raphael ,   Netanya   (02.06.09)
is a matter of oxymoron: similar to a vegetarian cannibal, a very seldom individual.
16. business problems
m ,   jerusalem   (02.06.09)
well considering eliminating turkey from our busy business schedual is difficult we have many ties to them, especially when it comes to manufacturing many products from clothing to propane gas cylinders. As for their turism let it wilt big deal. Even though jews are losing more vacation spots everyday due to anti-semitism, or just from feeling unsafe outside of its borders. this should be good news for eilat.
17. The Rise of Turkish Antisematism
Sandman ,   Ann Arbor   (02.06.09)
By encourging an atmosphere of hatred Edrogen and "the Justice and Development Party'" prove thier band of the "Turkish Moslem Brotherhood' is not just directed at Isreal but will be directed and expaned to any JEW. Atturk the founder of modern day Turkey as a secular state if he were alive would denounce these religious midevil bigots as distructive to a modern Turkist state. May the vast majority of good Turkish people see the game these fools are playing and vote them out of power.
18. o David in LA:You can't stand the message?
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.07.09)
So attack the messenger? Reality Check:The party in power in Turkey is an islamist party that put its true foot forward with the web posting denying the Shoah! For any Jew to support that kind of belief is simply seeking his/her own self destruction. You don't like what I say? TOO F*(***N BAD! There is a discussion and I made my point. If you wish to support Shoah deniers, your option. But go knowing they deny the Shoah, they deny the armenian genocide and they deny butchering the Kurds. Notice the commonality? Now go ahead and stick it!
19. anti-Zionism = anti-Semitism
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.07.09)
The growth of attacks on Jews throughout eurabia and islamic asia proves the point: the call to shut the last synagogue in indonesia;the calls to boycott Jewish owned businesses in ital, the UK, and SA; shootings at Jewish facilities in holland, belgium, and spain;and the destruction of the main synagogue in venezuela. What do the Jewish institutions have to hold blame OTHER THAN they are Jewish?
20. #4 In Egypt they were "Anti Jewish and Anti Israel"
EgyptJewRefugee ,   Geneva, Switzerland   (02.07.09)
#4: In Egypt they were "anti Jewish" and "anti Israel." no differentiation. I was there.
21. hacker obviously...
Mert ,   Ankara   (02.07.09)
that article does not serve the purposes of the party, AKP, or the government. I am sure this was a work of a hacker to put the AKP government in a difficult position in international stage. considering that there is a huge case against turkish gladio elements in the government, it is not far fetch to say that it was a set up by them.
22. #4 EGYPTIAN --ANTI-SEMITIC, ANTI-ISRAEL--ONE CAN BE BOTH !
AVRUM ,   CANADA   (02.07.09)
THE "EGYPTIAN" SHOULD READ MORE ..... HE STATES THAT WE SHOULD NOT CONFUSE THE TWO--ANTI-ISRAEL IS NOT NECESARRILY ANTI-SEMITISM HE SAYS. THE TURKISH PRESS COMMENTS, TURKISH MOBS ANTI-SEMITIC SIGNS AND SCREAMS IN THE STREET, THE POSTED ANTI-JEWISH-ISRAEL SIGNS, AND MORE. YES, YOU CAN BE ANTI-SEMITIC AND ANTI-ISRAEL AT THE SAME TIME. DO NOT TRY TO HIDE THE TRUE ISSUE.
23. To nr 4
Alexander ,   Herzliya, Israel   (02.07.09)
Let's try this one: Every nation on this planet has the right to be sovereign and independent - except Egypt. All nations have the right to exist and the right to defend themselves - except for Egypt. "I like Egyptians but I don't like the existence of an Egyptian state." Get the picture? You are an Arab - not an Egyptian. The Egyptian civilization is dead and buried so don't even dare to call yourself Egyptian. Anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic is identical and the very same thing because they are both built on racist hatred for Jews based on discrimination, double standards, demonization, delegitmization and false accusations. Anti-Semites of the past had more balls. They admitted openly that they were anti-Semitic. Today's anti-Semites want to hide that they are anti-Semites and invent all kinds of pretexts and excuses to hate Jews. Frankly, I think that all Arabs including you should pack their bags and move to Saudi Arabia where the Arabs are originally from and throw sand in each others' faces and keep their mouths shut.
24. Antizionist and anti-jews
john ,   UK   (02.08.09)
Yes there is much difference between anti-zionist anti-jews. jews lived for long time in muslim egypt, even become ministers in egyptians governments before kidnapping of palestine by the zionists (read egypt history). No human being with fair mind can justify that kidnapping of palestinian land, expelling peoples from their homes and say I am in agreement with all these zionist actions. In the same time I am against anyone who is anti-jews because they are simply jews. this
25. The other side to the coin....
Ibrahim ,   Istanbul   (02.08.09)
Turkish Authorities have confirmed that the "article" (which happens to have an anonymous author) was put into the AK Party Mainframe server by an unauthorised host. That is, the "article" was posted onto the website by a hacker. The IP of the hacker has been ascertained and it has now also been confirmed that the IP does not belong to a Turkish Internet Service Provider. Hence, it is obvious that there are centres of evil somewhere out there, whose agenda is to dissolve the 600 year old Turkish-Jewish alliance. To these idiots I say keep trying, you will go nowhere! No matter happens the Turks and Jews will remain loyal friends!
