The main difference between Fatah and Hamas is that Fatah has a faction within that appears to be interested in negotiating peace with Israel, while Hamas is unanimous in its refusal to engage. why does he even mention Israel? Hamas is stealing peoples food and aid- so why doesn't he talk to them? re Turkey: if Hamas was stealing the shipment, why blame israel 'for holding up the aid shipment'? This does not make sense- does anybody know who is doing what? How old is this article? Or does he say the same every time?

In other words, Hamas made them an offer they couldn't refuse - "allow us to work the way we want to - steal humanitarian aid to re-sell and infect your institutions with our members - and you won't "accidentally" be killed by an errant qassam or mistaken for the IDF with a roadside bomb." In other words - "I (Abbas) need votes and support from Gazans before Hamas slaughters ever Fatah person there. I know they already have plenty of food and fuel, but send more so I look good. I need help!"

That's because UNWRA supplies free healthcare, education, and food...leaving the billions in aid money to be used for weapons, explosives, and education of bomb makers in far away lands. If the UN lifted their aid, the Gazans would have to fend for themselves and might focus more on their own food and infrastructure rather than killing people. That's how the rest of the world works.
