1. What about daily Arab atacks in Haifa area?
Mike ,   Haifa   (02.08.09)
2. A bit jarring with the reality
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.08.09)
I wonder how many of these Arabs would dare to protest the real fascism of Hamas which, at this moment, rounding up the regime opponents and executing them? They are not such champions of democracy when the tyrant is an Arab regime. This is what is wrong with our region. We promote monsters like Fatah and Hamas as peace partners but have another set of standards for our own internal debate. Yes, I disagree with Lieberman, but I don't think he is less of a democrat than Yossi Sarid.
3. arabs shouting for coexistence? that's unusual
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (02.08.09)
on the whole, if arabs (muslims specifically) were even slightly interested in coexistence, there would be no lieberman for them to shout against.
4. Coexistence the Arab way
Frank ,   Canada   (02.08.09)
According to Arabs, coexistence consists in being free of attacking Jews and of being irrationnally hostile to them. Arabs don't want coexistence because coexistence means living peacefully with others.
5. Arabs warning Israel against fascism? That *is* funny!
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (02.08.09)
There have been numerous movements in the Middle East that approximate fascism, but none are Jewish. Baathism, the Muslim Brotherhood, Fatah, Hamas, the Islamic Front, Hizbullah, Iran's Revolutionary Guard, etc. Fundamentalist Islam, of the Shiite (Iran) or Sunni (Saudi Arabia) variety indeed have a totalitarian quality to them. YB is not a "fascist" party. They're simply arguing that citizenship involves obligations as well as rights. I don't necessarily agree with the policies they derive from that argument, but it's a subject worthy of debate.
6. I'll vote for you.
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (02.08.09)
7. Arabs can't have it both ways, sorry
Boaz ,   Haifa   (02.08.09)
You either stop terrorizing our people, or you leave, this is not the UK and we will not breed more fanatic islamic crazies here. It is time to fight back!!! Avidgor Lieberman for PM!
8. Role reversal???? What about islamofascism???
Trumpeldor   (02.08.09)
9. Who are the real fascist? The leftists, Meretz people
(02.08.09)
You want to live with Arabs, you want to coexists with them, then move to Syria, Soudi Arabia or any one of their 22 countries, but leave Israel to Jews.
10. Suddenly, Palestinian Moslems have come
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (02.08.09)
out of the woodwork, protesting in response about their "rights" as Israelis being challenged. But why is it we don't hear more from them when we (Israelites) are being threatened by Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon or the government in Iran? Following is the point which Avigdor Lieberman and Yisrael Beiteinu are trying to make: Amongst the Palestinian people of Israel are harboured a large number whose only concerns seem to be their own rights and privileges but little to nothing about their responsibilities. To go further, a number of them wish our downfall (as a nation) and some work actively against us. Israel, unlike other nations less at risk, just cannot afford to keep a very large community of citizens within its fold unless thie community is pulling its weight and offering something of benefit as opposed to significantly detracting from it. Lieberman has understood this dynamic perfectly and is proposing to deal with it as opposed to sweeping the problem under the rug or pretending that everything vis a vis our Palestinian citizens is just "hunky-dory". Like him or not, you must admit that he possesses the requisite courage to identify this major domestic problem which no other politician dares articulate.
11. kok hakovod
DRon ,   Or Akiva   (02.08.09)
How wonderful that Israelis standing up for the right of their community to live together in harmony are met with the same racist claptrap they're protesting against from talkbackers. Haifa is a mixed city and efforts to sow hatred and bigotry will not pass!!
12. loyalty
erik ,   Czech Republic   (02.09.09)
In this case jews in diaspora should be subjected to the same test.
13. the hypocrisy of it all
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.09.09)
Just 2 weeks aago, the same Haifa arabs were trying to host a PFLP get together to honour arab terrorists with an avowed platform of murderin all Jews. Now, in their wonderment, they attack Lieberman as opposed to co-existence? As a Jew who used to be moderate, I am quickly being driven to seek out parties that are more interested in OUR security than they are in abandoning Israel and surrendering to islamonazi terrorism. The so-called "Israeli-arabs" can't have it both ways: loyalty to Israel or agree to transfers in the name of peace!
14. Actually, the Arab parties really are fascist
Scott ,   USA   (02.08.09)
Balad and the other groups are allied with the Syrian Baathist regime, which was founded on fascist lines. Its goal is a "Greater Syria" composing the entire Middle East east of the Suez Canal. The Baathist regime contains the "National Socialist Party of Syria" (e.g. the Syrian Nazi Party), with its black and red flag in the ruling coalition. (The National Socialist Party of Syria wants to conquer not only Israel but Cyprus as well. I have a copy of their map of "Greater Syria.")
15. the 5th column hates the truth because it wants to destroy
Jack ,   USA   (02.09.09)
Israel.
16. G-d Bless Lieberman!
Frank ,   USA   (02.09.09)
17. They want to kill Jews and enjoy impunity
Dave ,   USA   (02.09.09)
18. These protesting Arabs are fools
Josh ,   San Jose   (02.09.09)
The smart ones are going to vote for Lieberman and then go join the IDF and sign the loyalty oath. They will get to live as equals in an advanced liberal society. Those who supported Hamas are going to find out first hand that living as a minority in a Jewish country is a lot better than living as the majority in a Muslim country ruled by Hamas for Fatah.
19. how he cant be called a fasicest if he called to drop a nucl
mohannad   (02.09.09)
nuclear bomb on gaza, and we are calling for coexictence in a palastinen state or a state for all its citizens
20. #11 DRon, just keep calling reality 'racist claptrap' and
Freethinker   (02.09.09)
see where it gets you..
21. #9 leftist agenda looks at england and canada as an ideal
(02.09.09)
22. If Arabs want to live with Jews
David   (02.09.09)
Why are the Israeli Arabs not advocating for Jews and Arabs to live together in the West Bank?
23. I swore allegiance to the U.S.?
Jewish Refugee ,   U.S.A.   (02.09.09)
Whats with fuss about the Leibermans proposal. I think it is long time overdue. In order for me to become naturalized U.S. citizen I had to swear allegiance to U.S. which is an absolutely must aspect of the process. I see no problem with that, I live in U.S., I work in U.S., I live by the U.S. constitution, I prosper in U.S. all this because U.S. gives me the opportunity to do so. I don't think that U.S. would allow al-Queda senators or representatives in Congress, or make anyone citizens if they proclaim destruction of U.S. Why must Israel act differently? Anyone who claims or wants to be Israeli citizen must earn it or at least swear allegiance to Israel. For more please visit: http://israelactnow.blogspot.com
24. walk the talk
Sandy   (02.09.09)
"Jews and Arabs refuse to be enemies." ... now let's see them back up the slogan with real, peaceful, action ....
25. Israel Must Adhere to G-ds Laws to Survive
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (02.09.09)
For all of my school days, I had to say the pledge to my country (USA). We have a Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc. All citizens are granted rights..to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Now, my country is headed towards a socialistic state..over the econ crisis. Jews vote heavily for same sex marriages (despite our Torah laws which our G-d made). Mr. Milk, a Jew, was shot over is gender preference....and may be the number one winner at this year's Academy Awards. We Jews are scared to death of protests (see "Death to Jews" signs at pro-Palis rallies). Where are we coming from..where are we headed?. Bottom line: law and order, vs anarchy. Israel must stop these demonstrations..or control them...or expect it's decline..Remember Rome.
26. Israel Is Already Too Lenient, Thus Anarchy
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (02.09.09)
If Israeli-Arabs/Israeli Jews, want to protest something, that's the democratic way, something Fatah in the Gaza Strip could only dream of, not to forget the victims of the Taliban, or Sunni Iraq. We know what the mullahs do to controversial figure in Iran. I wonder about the true meaning of these protests by Israeli-Arabs, who send MKs to Israel's parliament who side with Hamas, Hez and Syria? Okay, have your protests, but do not advocate insurrection, sedition, treason and violence. Ourside party hq? Hows about a supervised area, authorized by the local gov't and police? Attacking a law enforcement official is verboten, and should be punished severely. Otherwise, expect more anarchy in Israel..rampent already.
27. THEN ALL ARABS SHOULD SERVE IN IDF!!!!!!
andy ,   orlando,u.s   (02.09.09)
28. The Arab minority in Israel.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (02.09.09)
Israeli Arabs are not Israeli, and how could they be? Israel is a name set aside for the people of Israel. Arabs who live here can be called "Arabs with citizenship of the State of Israel", but they are certainly not 'Israelis'. Ask them and they will tell you the same thing. Israel is the country that we have built. We the Jews, the Children of Israel, have returned to our land and have built a prosperous and healthy country in which Torah flourishes alongside advanced farming, life-saving medicine and computers. As to the Arabs living in Israel consult the declaration of the US congress in 1922 : http://xrl.us/ou89o
29. "Dear arab people , leave Israel."
Jason Asman ,   Boston, U.S.A.   (02.09.09)
Shouted one who wants to see Israel alive and flourishing.
30. Vote for Leiberman, he is the best man for the job
Sandi   (02.09.09)
The arabs are terified of him.
