1. This is why Likud lost so much support.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (02.09.09)
A ''National Unity Gov.'t.'' with Labour & Kadima? No thanks.
2. Unity around the Golden Calf
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.09.09)
Only unity around God will work ,not around the failed agenda of Idos Israel has chosen to serve. Israel divorced her God and married her peacemasters and their Oslo/Road Map. This catastrophie is the end result of Israel's folly of rejecting God's peace plan and trusting in mere corrupt, lying men and their failed plans. OBEY GOD AND THROW YOUR IDOLS AWAY ! Netanyhau is just another idol worshiper who bows to his many gods on the Potomoc. When will Israel say 'enough' and ask their God to lead them ? Exodus 23:27-33 is His peace plan for His Israel. It's past time to end your romance with the golden calf and his Road Map agreement, your covenant with death and hell and do it God's way. Awaken and return to him ,not worthless politicians who always betray you.

5. To 1# Likud would hold balance of power in any government
Jason ,   tel aviv israel   (02.09.09)
This is a distraction. They would have to join likud on their terms. Labor will never do that. bibi will form a right wing coalition. Likud has always saying the balance of power will be by likud. The left isn't going to be part of the coalition. Bibi wants Kadima to go away. Barak said he wouldn't be defense minister if he doesn't get 20 seats. So Yaalon will be defense minister. Also Labor won't be in the same governement as Lieberman so Bibi will be forming a right wing government. This is why Livni will be PM because the right is splitting up over nonsense.
6. election
Marilyn ,   Richalnd, Washington   (02.09.09)
I am praying here in the U.S., and know the Lord will lead his people to vote for the party and the candidate B. Netanyahu. I believe that the Lord is leading his people and they will vote for the man and representative of the Lord thy God - who will lead Israel and the People of Israel and those scattered throughout the World. I have heard him speak of Isreael here in the U.S., and believe he is the man for such a time as this. Thank you and God Bless you all. Praying for you..
7. #2 if u could manage 2get furlow from Goldenah Medinah...
Israela Israeli   (02.09.09)
(opps there's that Gold thing again) then you would know that last Friday night (Erev Shabbat) Mr. Netanyahu, his wife and a friend from Ah!merica had dinner at a non-kosher restaurant here in Jerusalem. In other words instead sharing your arm chair babble you would have seen that we don't need you to tell us what to think about Mr. Netanyahu. We can manage just fine right here in Jerusalem all on our own! Amazing isn't it what we Israelis can achieve without Ah!merican arm chair philosophers like you! Have a nice day over there in Florida!
8. The right bloc will hold the balance of power
David ,   ashkelon israel   (02.09.09)
The unity government is meaningless because the rightest bloc will hold the balance of power. Labor won't join a coalition with lieberman and kadima won't join bibi's government. All this unity government talk is nonsense.
9. Labor and Kadima both won't join a rightest with bibi as PM
Jason ,   tel avivi israel   (02.09.09)
Bibi as PM needs lieberman in his coalition. Labor won't join a coalition with lieberman. Kadima won't join a coalition lead by bibi and likud. Neither will meretz or the arab parties. If Bibi and Likud get more seats than kadima and livni then a rightest bloc will be formed with barak and livni in the opposition. Barak said he wouldn't be defense minister if he didn't get 20 mandates and that isn't going to happen.

David ,   USA, exile   (02.09.09)
Hats off to you brother. Now you are speaking truth. Continue to point the way to the only solution for Yisra'el. This is a very positive message. Shalom aleikhem
11. Changing the system
Raoul ,   Israel   (02.09.09)
A pity no-one has mentioned changing the electoral system to constituency voting, where a canditate will have direct contact with and responsibility for his voters, and would prevent formation of small splinter parties - in other words bring national unity right at the ballot box. I reluctantly feel forced to make a strategic vote to help bring about a strong govt.
12. BArak is part of the problem! No vote from me! Vote NU!
Jjay3 ,   Israel   (02.09.09)
13. Unity - but not with Kadima
DT ,   TA Isr   (02.09.09)
Netanyahu deserves to lose but Drippy Zippy certainly does not deserve to be PM or even in the Govt. Tme for Beiteinu
14. #5 sadly you are wrong
John Doe ,   Center, israel   (02.09.09)
From the beginning, Netanyahu has been trying to lose votes for the Likud. He could have had 40 mandates but has been doing everything in his power to get less so he can do a Sharon-style trick. Netanyahu's dream is to make a coalition with Barak. Barak will join because after Labor's loss Barak will be nobody if he does not become a minister for Netanyahu. Kadima is a party of opportunists. If Livni is defeated people like Mofaz and Hangebi will dump her and join Netanyahu. Netanyahu will take these refugees because they will owe their political career to him. Together with Shas and maybe Lieberman, Netanyahu will have a stable government with no ideology except power and enriching themselves. Even honest Likud members like Yaalon, Saar and Erdan won't be able to topple Netanyahu and his band of mercenaries.
15. lets break this down to people
Asaf Golan ,   Sugar Land   (02.09.09)
Likud is Likud, Labor is Labor. Kadima is Likud and Labor. And anyone with a memory from 2005 knows what I am saying. The three should form a national unity government. But I do hope Ysrael Beitinu will be included in the national unity government.

i ,   jerusalem   (02.10.09)
I have learned to trust my gut feelings and have been vindicated. My guts now are ---i gonna vomit. Something stinks when certain names keep cropping up(no pun intended) like they cant keep their filthy fingers out of the public honey pot. That includes the former PM. You know, just a gut feeling ....
