this is a serious question in this heated discussion: why do all the supplies, the UNWRA, Red Cross aid etc. go through Israel? There is the border with Egypt, the coast..... do they use the airport at Tel Aviv? How does this stuff come to Israel? This does not make sense to me as an outsider. A country has a right to defend its own borders, including refusing the passage of goods through the country. Indeed it is a good question and it is good that is being asked. Obviously, many of these Arab governments want no part of the extremism exhibited in GAZA. Egypt especially because they have problems themselves with extremists. The thing is this: Israel is under the microscope and nothing escapes the eye where Arab governments do not have to undergo this scrutiny. Egypt is being very careful not to allow radicals to continue to provoke problems. HAMAS not only uses human shields, but would also use aid carriers to import weoponry.
