31. Y R arabs afraid of right when the left did Gaza
Adam Eliyahu Berkowi   (02.10.09)
The cartoon confuses me. It was left wing PM Olmert and lefter Barak who were entirely responsible for the war in Gaza. Shouldn't the Arabs be villianizing Olmert and Barak? Shouldn't the anti-war Israelis be pro-right wing? Isn't the right actually the movement for peace since a right wing government was reponsible for the only peace agreement signed with an Arab country?
32. #12, observer...open your eyes mate
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.10.09)
Are you really an observer or just a blind hater? Israel's "extremists" do not preach hatred and violence as the Muslims ones do, do they? Your inability to see both sides is mind boggling. For instance, what do you have to sa about Hamas usiing their women and children as human shields? Or the fact that they stole UN aid which was to go to the people who elected them? You need to look in the mirror and realize how wrong you are!
33. palestine had free elections
germany/israel   (02.10.09)
to all, who say, that none of the arab states have free democratic elections. No matter, what we think of hamas, but by internationally supervised standards the hamas was democratically elected.
34. amusing
Ilana   (02.10.09)
to hear arabs talking of extremists!! How absurd the mideast !!! Guess which country in the mideast has true democratic elections? Thereis only one. Oh, and it is not Gaza, as there if you don't vote Hamas, you get shot, or tortured or thrown out a window at best.
35. if Arabs have democracy israel wouldn't exist

hal tripp ,   LA PAZ, BOLIVIA   (02.10.09)
WELCOME TO ARAB WORLD,AN ISRAELI CAN'T VOTE FOR LIEBERMAN BUT HAMAS CAN GO AND KILL FATAH MEMEBRS IN GAZA. WHAT A SICK WORLD WE LIVE IN. NO WONDER BIBI AND LIEBERMAN WILL FORM THE NEXT GOVERNMENT.HOW MUCH CAN A ISRAELI TAKE,GET BOMBARDED IN SDEROT FOR 8 YEARS, LIVNI TALKS OF GIVING BACK JERUSALEM AND GOLAN,WHATS LEFT,LIVNI CAN'T EVEN GO TO TURKEY FOR VACATION.
39. free elections???
Ilana   (02.10.09)
http://www.stanford.edu/~ldiamond/iraq/WhaIsDemocracy012004.htm I would read the above andthen decide. A supposedly free election system is still not enough. There is no real way to check as results of who voted what can bediscovered and results of the discovery canbe carried out any time later. Anyway, a democracy is not just "free elections"
40. If Israel is full of extremists
S. Melmoth ,   Israel   (02.10.09)
the Arabs have no one to blame but themselves. Every Qassam, every mortar shell, every dead, wounded or shell-shocked Israeli turns someone else from left to right, from moderate to extremist.
41. 22 dictatorial Arab states that based on terror
Frank ,   USA   (02.10.09)
blame the democratic Israel. They are obsessed with Jews.
42. Yes, #33 'palestine' had free elections
(02.10.09)
Hamas was elected ; they then proceeded to kill off the opposition Fatah (which they are continuting to do apparently in Gaza). Hitler also came to power in elections. That didn't makd Nazi Germany a democracy!

47. ARAB MEDIA
Art Schwartz ,   IRVINE, CA.   (02.10.09)
Isn't it funny that an election with multible candidates draws so much interest from countries that have only one candidate per election.
48. Dont listen to the Arab hate media
Ken Jurist   (02.10.09)
The same Syrian journalist Omar Jaftali should ask himself, what happens to someone who criticizes Assad? Why dont he mention the 20,000 Syrians Assad Sr killed in 1982. If he's really concerned about Palestinian children. He should protest the Palestinians dead baby strategy. Read this brilliant article by Alan Dershowitz. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jan/16/hamas-dead-baby-strategy
49. Response to the lies of the Syrian journalist.
David Stoler   (02.10.09)
A brilliant article which talks about Syrian fascism. http://www.kurdmedia.com/article.aspx?id=15139 Campaign for the international recognition of human rights of half a million Kurds “Buried Alive” in Syria 10/13/08

Doron ,   Israel   (02.10.09)
55. Every qassam
meg ,   Israel   (02.10.09)
that landed in Israel gave another vote to Bibi and Leiberman, so I beleive. Extreme are we? they should look to their own dictatorships that caused the extreme to triumph in a democracy.
56. Delusional
Bob ,   Toronto, Canada   (02.11.09)
Hamas is "ok" because they were democratically elected, but that Lieberman, he's an extremist. If Hamas had the military might of Israel they would try to wipe them off the map without apology. Shoudn't they be thankful that Israel has enough decency to show restraint.
57. Who won politicians won who else RIGHT ???

Thank You... M. S.
58. #33 exactly
Ms Moreno ,   Phoenix, USA   (02.11.09)
And because the people of Gaza elected Hamas to be in power.......why should they be crying now because of what they brought on themselves. No one in their right mind can expect to be aggressive and not expect relaliation. What the #%@*
59. israeli media says...
(02.11.09)
which despotic, cruel, dictatorial, maniacal, opressive, corrupt, murderous thug will arab muslims elect as a leader in their countries"??? this is a more apt question to ponder for arabs that it is for a democratic civil and free israel. amazing how arab perfected the practice of psychological transferance in which the accuser accuses the other for doing exactly what the accuser is doing in the first place. look under what leaders and regimes you arabs live and then you may have a modicome of right to criticise leaders in israel. you are morons all of you.
60. moishe feiglin for pm
josh ,   toronto,canada   (10.18.12)
i strongly agree with sandi's assertion that we need new leadership in israel and i believe that moishe feiglen represents the best hope for a strong country that will not give up one inch of land and will exterminate our communist/fascist, nazi enemies. but one thing i take issue with her is her characterization of those beliefs as 'right-wing'. tou know what 'right-wing' means? it means cutting social programmes(eg.medicare, social security, etc.) that people rely on to survive. i and many others in the feiglin camp will never, never, never suport any cutbacks to the welfare system. i have been involved in the occupy wall street and israel movement so that the 'ninety-nine percent' of people who live at or below the poverty line should get their benefits increased. i have fought republican cuts to military and social spending programmes in the u.s. with love of israel, josh.
