Much of what you say is accurate. There is one thing which needs to be corrected. Israel was to be a state for Jews; not a Jewish state. Ben Gurion was quite clear when he formulated the proper political set-up for ERETZ YISRAEL. He threw a few bones to the Rebbunim, but never desired to have a theocracy which seems to be the plan of the religious. It seems the citizenry of Israel agree there is a place for the religious; but do not desire that place to be instead of civil secular rule. If theocracy becomes the law of the land in Israel, she will collapse and Judaism will be destroyed.
