He is right that Barak should resign. He is wrong in thinking that he is the right man for the job. Barak is a first class choice for Defense, no one will argue with that, yet Pertz declares it would be "unethical and immoral" if he were to continue as DM in another party led Government. This in essence is what is wrong with our system,the wrong person gets the job and the right one is left on the sidelines because of his "political color". Peretz is the living proof of this folly.

If Peretz wants Kadima to win by a landslide next time around then becoming chairman is the right way to do it. At pessach we clean the house get rid of all the hometz. The Knesset is full of nothing but hometz Livni, Peretz, Bibi, Barak, Liberman and all the rest of them they are all hometz and if the country is to have a future it needs a clean out get rid of every single one of them. We need compient people running a non corrupt electoral system thats truly democratic and creates stable, non colaition and representetive government.

i don't care for barak but he is a very cautious and methodical commando and he did help with the gaza operation. As opposed to that end, Peretz and olmert screwed up the lebanon operation which I could have done a better job at. peretz is a total buffoon and ignoramus, while Olmert is a gutless coward who now wants to let Turkey back in again as a mediator in syria surrender. Olmert and peretz have no judge of character ability are worth zero to Israel. Barak has done well in the idf, he was a lousy politican and PM but he did help with gaza. Peretz is in no position to talk.

Ehud Barack is a war hero and did an excellent job in Gaza alongside Ashkenazi. This as opposed to the disasterous leadership of Peretz during the Lebanon War. This man is not respected in Israel and seen as a clown in the US. You want US support for defense? Then I wouldn't allow this man in any positon related to defense. I especially would not allow him speaking to Foggy Bottom at a time Iran is quaking on it's heels to nuke Israel, and Obama is dumb enough to talk to Hamas. What will Peretz do besides embarrass Israel again and possibly cause real problems. Don't do it. Please do not allow Peretz back in!
