2. Israel Buries Peace, Forever...
وسام Wissam ,   Paleatine   (02.19.09)
Israel would eventually be defeated anyway...not by arms, nor by peace, but by sex, and lots of it. Why are the so-called negotiations even relevent? The Territories have been swallowed, or beseiged, completely. Now a simple advice to the brutally occupied Palestinians of the interior, get rid of your "resistance", halt the "negotiations", and simply trash the condoms. Rendez-vous 2017 folks.
3. Btw, I don't expect Ynet to publish my comments...
Wissam ,   Palestine   (02.19.09)
Since they've been known to censor opinions and views clashing with their own.
4. Half of the article are Meretz comments?
Tevye ,   Chelm   (02.19.09)
Why would anyone - besides maybe an extreme left wing ynet reporter, care what Meretz - a small party with only 3 seats - has to say ?
5. Kadima, Ha'avoda & Meretz must unite to form centre left gov

6. No surprise
Amos ,   USA   (02.19.09)
After getting his marching orders from the Russian mob, Lieberman does the expected.
7. wissam : Ynet is not an arab forum, it's democratic.

8. time to see if Lbermans ego is bigger than his brain
zionist forever   (02.19.09)
Netanyahu has ruled out rotation Livni has ruled out sitting in a government run by Netanyahu. Both Labour & Meretz have chosen to go into oposition rather than join anybody. Shas & UTJ have both commited themselves to Netanyahu. The nationalists have commited themselves to Netanyahu. Liberman isn't in a position to dictate terms. Livni has 28 seats without him. Without him Netanyahu has 50 without him. Now Liberman has two options open to him. 1) GO INTO OPPOSITION GIVE UP ALL THIS POWER HE HAS GOT FOR THE FIRST TIME. 2) ACCEPT HE IS NOT IN A POSITION TO DICTATE BECAUSE LIVNI DOESNT HAVE HOPE WITH OR WITHOUT HIM BUT IF HE JOINS NETANYAHU HE CAN BE PART OF A GOVERNMENT. Liberman might see himself as very important and the key to election victory for one side or another but he is in no position to tell Netanyahu what to do because Livni can't form a government anyway. Time for him to accept he can either go into opposition making problems for everybody else and gaining nothing for himself. Or sit with Shas and anybody else that supports Bibi and if there is no rotation thats just to bad for him. Put aside the ego now and a coalition can be former which he will be part of and we can get down to running the country or we can continue to play games because of because of the mans inflated ego. Whoever runs the country its going to be made up or fools and we need to get rid of all the current parties replace them with new serious parties.
9. this election is proof the current system doesnt work
zionist forever   (02.19.09)
Now we are seeing first hand what the public has always known and thats the system doesn't work and needs to be changed. Israel is going on 61 and its long overdue we change this socialist based system which doesn't even work on that front either and certainly not as an acceptable system for the modern world. No more tweaking around the edges saying lets elect the PM directly leave the rest of it as they have tried and failed we need a completly new system. 1) A much higher electroal threshold putting us into a position where we have only 3-4 main parties all of which have plans to run the country they are not single issue parties who stand purley to gain disproportionate amount of influence in the country through joining the coalition of whoever needs them and will pay their price. 2) MKS elected individualy in regions not a party list where they have no loyalty to anybody but the chairman. 3) An end to coalitions the party with the most votes forms the government. Coalition government us undemocratic and breeds coruption and unstable bad governments. 4) Possibly a presidential system where we have an individual executive who can hold serious talks on important issues but he also knows its the Knesset which he has no voice in that will have the final say. There must be a written constitution & bill of rights stating Israel is a jewish state, laws like the right of return for jews are enshrined constiutionly. Right now even the basic laws are just laws that can be overuled by a Knesset majority vote.
10. To # 5: Gil: Check you numbers!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.19.09)
Kadimah 28 + Labor 13 + Meretz 3 = 44. Where do you get a Government from? I any case, Meretz is so left it is nearly in Palestine and Barak has brought Labor to ruination - even worse that Amir "Binoculars" Peretz did! The people have been driven to the right by the attitude of the local Arab community and the actions of Hamas and Hezbollah, the puppets of Iran and Syria. The people have spoken and let's see what Netanyahu will bring. Actually, give Bibi enough rope and he will hang himself and his party, Shasniks and Dossim with their "tzitzit" in their pants, will chuck him out. "He who kneels for the Rav Ovadia will eventually get his butt kicked!
11. #10 Wisam , " palestine"
Moshe ,   Acre, Israel   (02.19.09)
#10 Wisam, " palestine" Thank you for finally supplying the means to understanding the mind of primitives. How will your anticipated MULTITUDE of pal children acquire food, clothing, education, the health resources, to become as threat to Israel? 1. Instead such action will force Israel will throw up its hands...equal treatment will NOT be possible, because Isarel will lack the necessary resources. 2. There are many more intelligent Arabs than the rutting crew that you suggest. As Arab people modernize, they KNOW that first comes providing a future for their offspring, which can only come with small families. Family first... politics last. Breeding for revenge is too stupid to even suggest to them. But then "Wisam" is not a thinker, why bother to explain to him? Moshe
12. #2 Wissam
David ,   USA, exile   (02.19.09)
What makes you so sure there will be a Palestine or Palestinians in 2017? My studies of history show there never was a Palestine so why would there be one in 2017? Now there is a Aza with a lot of violent migrant workers from Jordan who are pawns in the hands of the Arab haterrs. Is that the crowd you are referring to? But, if so, I ask, what makes you so certain there will be an Aza in 2017? What makes you so sure there will be an Arab in 2017? I suggest you read the Tanach and see where you and your ilk will end up. Enjoy your sex. Your virgins await.
