1. Why, Gadi, why?
Rafael ,   Yerushalayim   (02.24.09)
How sad, Gadi, that you perceive the national interest to be anti - "settler" simply for the sake of being anti - "settler." At least the misguided leftists of yesteryear dreamed that removing "settlers' from their homes and communities would somehow bring peace with our enemies who wish to remove and subjugate all of us. But you simply want to remove "settlers" from their homes. Why? Why is this a matter of national priority? Why should they become refugees like our brothers and sisters from Gaza? Why is this so important to you?
2. Same old...same old
Robert ,   NY   (02.24.09)
So basically you want Kadima to become Meretz with a slight makeover? Brilliant!
3. what a load of tripe
Yisraeli   (02.24.09)
This seems to be your entire agenda nothing more nothing less and I quote "He (ie Barak) contributed nothing to withdrawing from the territories and did nothing to evacuate unauthorized outposts." You sad loonie leftie, still hanging in there with your illusions. Whilst Israel is facing more dangerous enemies day by day all you can 'dream' of handing your enemy more territory from which to launch a genocide against us. You silly little boy, when are you finally gonna grow up?
4. kadima
gavriel ,   mevaseret   (02.24.09)
Who is this man anywhere, with his confused ideas? Kadima must get rid on its corrupt members? that means it has to give up all its memberrs, because it was made of them. Livni is no leader, she is just lonely woman, who feels is being betraid and behaves as one. What a pity for Kadima!
5. Once upon a time ......
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (02.24.09)
And other Fairy Tales by Kadima for the naive & gullible. Only problem is that it doesn't end, ''and everyone lived happily ever after.''
6. Partition but no peace.... expulsions for fun?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.24.09)
Hard to understand how much hate this guy must have inside him to desire people losing everything they've build, having their communities and families destroyed, and made refugees just so there can be a 'partition' of the country. I think there are some who believe this is the path to peace, but a stated goal of partition for it's own sake is just a pathological sickness.
7. Partition, a great idea
Smith ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (02.24.09)
A great idea, partition. That means the bill for removing the settlers doesn't have to fall on the tax payers shoulders. Simply pull out all military and administrative forces behind the barrier that is more or less follows the Green Line anyway and let the settlers and Palestinians sort out who will be in charge of their new country and what to call it. It could be Samaristine or Paleudea. Either way a great idea. Its what both of these groups want to do anyway, isn't it? Fight one another to the death. Great. Let them do it in their own damned country.
8. Kadima and Meretz should unite
Anne ,   Tel Aviv   (02.24.09)
Livni should replace Oren. They will make a very good opposition to Labor.
9. Why is Meretz mentioned? It got 3 seats and is irrelevant!
redbourn ,   tel aviv   (02.24.09)
And the road map? Is Gadi Taub completely unaware of whats going on in he world? The road map like Meretz died a while ago. Mike
10. #6 Ilan - it is very easy to understand
Chris ,   Warsaw Poland   (02.24.09)
because the settlements were from their very start labeled as temporary, and only security-driven. Also every single country in the world treats them as illegal. Time to withdraw. For the sake of Israel's moral standing.
11. Kadima has no ideological path, Mr. Taub
Jake   (02.24.09)
and that's the whole point, in case you weren't watching. The Gaza disengagement of 2005 occurred under the Likud government of Ariel Sharon. Kadima was formed after that, as means of going into the elections and continuing the disengagement IN PRINICIPLE. However, in case you were not paying attention, Kadima and Olmert did not cede a single inch of territory to anyone. And do you know why? Sure, Olmert would love to divide Jerusalem and gratify every Leftist fantasy under the sun. But no one on the other side is interested in a peace agreement with Israel, and withdrawing from territory without an agreement is a demonstrable FAILURE. Witness Lebanon and Gaza. Even Peres now admits that the Gaza disengagement was a complete fiasco. Kadima believes in the 2-state solution in principle, however even a raving lunatic understands that further withdrawal from territory equals surrender to terror.
12. With a sweeping right wing majority knesset just elected
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (02.24.09)
maybe this country should get really democratic and give the people what they have voted for: A strong right wing government Left wingers as Rabin are dictators forcing their suicidal/psycotical plans over a larger population who does not agree.
13. to 12 and other point
lili ,   jerusalem   (02.25.09)
the other point is the auther try to realize a confused evrything ... tell it as a fact settelments are illegal . to 12 and the israil democracy ... democracy of israil is done always by force it is from the start and depends on international ormostly american support .. now both of these are changed the force and the support / so democracy must be real it has no teeth .the right are scared to tell it also the left want to tell it was before like this all the goverment are liars but the people want to believe them .so it must be facts new facts to rise from the illusion
14. Partition will mean Grads falling on Gush Dan, HURRAY!!
Gadi Taub's Brain ,   Self Hate Land   (02.25.09)
This author is amazing. He is wiling to put Gush Dan in Katusha range just so that he can eliminate the hated "settlers". Why? Is Taub suffering from a mental condition? I am being serious.
15. @1 Partition is not about peace
daniel   (02.25.09)
It's about preventing a bi-national state and thus the end of Israel.
