olmert ,   PA   (02.28.09)
maybe the government can find away to appeases hizbullah, like send them money, or release terrorist who only killed ordinary jews that statistically speaking dose not mount to a threat to israel, rabins legacy must be protected by all means.
3. The Hizbullah and Nasrallah.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (02.28.09)
The Hizbullah, exist only because it is supported by the dictatorship of Syria and the fanatic Islam regim of Iran. Their moves are not fair. They have an unfair agenda. They fight unfair battles in the wrong place at the wrong time. They should be destroyd to the last. History tells us that those who came by sword will go by the sword as described at : http://xrl.us/bjcsj
4. Hizballah prepared for another conflict....
Franklin ,   Paris   (02.28.09)
KASSEM......" showed that he did not respect the LEBANESE people's democratic choice." Lebanon represent the biggest humanshield of Assad, Nassrallah and Ahmadinejad.....
5. Hussein is also a Shi'ite name
Gunter   (02.28.09)
Cool, Hizbollah is shi'ite and so is the Mohammedan president (born in Kenya) of the United States. Hussein is a name almost exclusively given to SHI'ITE muslims. So they should be able to get along great.
6. 2 Words: Lebanese Elections
tony ,   lebanon   (02.28.09)
The same rhetoric was spewed out by Israeli parties in lead up to elections. If anything is going to happen it will be around June, either as a result of the march 8 minority's defeat or as a sabotage before the elections.
7. Naim Kassem for PM
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.28.09)
Naim Kassem is a better and smarter leader than Olmert, Livni and Barak. While these three clowns think that war is about killing and victory parades, Kassem says what every normal politician knows success in war is translating military force into diplomatic achievements. Israel's leaders had no purpose and no goal in fighting a war. They do not know why they went to war, and had no idea how to translate violence into something. Let us hope Netanyahu is smarter, or Israel will cease to exist.

they have prepared by digging deeper bunkers underground under residential areas and schools to hide from the IDF. They better be taking vitamin d supplements as nasrallah hasn't seen sunshine in some time.

15. In Gaza Hamas used child scouts and hid
Jo   (02.28.09)
how can you fight such a group? It is demeaning. They may care little about civilians lives but Israel does. They use this and see it as Israel's weakness, but it is Israel moral strength. Fighting such a group is not worthy of the word "fight". And the kids, captured there - KIDS, 14,15,16,17,18 years old used as "soldiers", Where were the adults? Tactics like in Africa ,not in a modern democractic country. Will Hamas now allow for new elections? I think not. They will go the way of groups like them and the people will have no choice at all. We will have a serfdom in Gaza. Voted in by the people yes, but if I recall correctly so was Hitler. Democracy can easily be abused and signs in Gaza show no such thing exists.
16. Ready for war what about Syria RIGHT ???
M. S. ,   mpls america   (02.28.09)
I realize Assad keeps Syria out of all military confrontations with Israel internationial criminals armed with the latest technology from America Syria is no match for that with Russian junk but alas if it fights a guerila war it may do all right but no conventionial war nuclear well nuclear is unsure of direction where it may end thus is unsafe guerila warfare is safe Hizbulah Syria togarther but ready no body is exactly ready to die in war for nothing but if they are let them they serve who die in war RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
17. Mizbullah
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (02.28.09)
Mizbullah, the Persian slave, will not start a war, without an order from it's master,Stalin the second, who rules Lebanon, like Stalin the first, who ruled eastern Europe with an iron fist.Persia, under Ayatola Stalin,is using Lebanon as a tool against Israel, and the west. What benefit do the people of Lebanon derive for this service they provide this mad ayatolah ? .
18. Mugniyah Assassination=Inside Job
Cynthia ,   USA   (02.28.09)
Syria and Hezbullah never completed the investigation into Mugniyah's death because they were afraid to publish the conclusions. These war calls go up because of internal problems in Hezbullah. I suspect Iran's economic problems are filtering down to Hezbullah.
19. #18 Cynthia. .....
Marco ,   Spain   (02.28.09)
All I can say is Israel used to attack and intimidate Arab States at will. The Iraqi nuclear facilities were destroyed by a daring Israeli air strike, and Syria was bombed too without too much hoopla. However, when it comes to Iran, Israel has been barking and threatning for some time now to cover their paralysis and fear. Rockets were fired from Gaza, and Israel went to action immediately bombing anything that moves. Rockets were fired from Lebanon, and all Israel could do was run to the United Nations and file a complaint. You've better take Nasrallah's deputy very seriously because the people of Hezbollah have always said what they meant and meant what they said. I suggest Cynthia you educate yourself a little by reading a book about Hezbollah written by the proffesor Judith Palmer Harik who is an American proffesor at the American University of Beirut. Professor Harik spent 20 years of her life studying Hezbollah and wrote a book called 'Hezbollah, the changing face of terrorism'. The title is a bit deceiving because this American proffesor seems to disagree with your view that Hezbollah is a terrorist organization.
20. #19 Marco
Cynthia ,   USA   (03.01.09)
Marco, the Arab neighbors have started every war. Israel showed extreme restraint against attacks by Hamas. 3000 missiles and bombs landed in Israel before Israel launched a military response. In 2006, Hezbullah launched an unprovoked attack against Israel which involved the murder and kidnap of Israeli soldiers with a simultaneous barrage of 250-300 katyusha rockets per day at Israeli civilian populations. Many parties worked together to stop the conflict that Hezbullah irresponsibly started. What did Hezbullah say they would do that they did? Nasrallah is hiding, hundreds of Lebanese died and Lebanon was turned into a graveyard. Is that what you're referring to? It should be clear to you by now that Hezbullah and Hamas follow orders from Iran and they are terrorist organizations. You may be enamoured by Iran but in reality, the Iranian Regime cares only about itself and does nothing to help the Palestinians. Thanks for the suggested reading. I'll take a look at Judith Palmer Harik's book.
