SSE ,   USA   (02.28.09)
sorta of looks like iran up the ante in gaza, i can hardly wait for that engagement obama promised us because if anyone can convince the aytaollah that he should accept israel's right to exist, he can ... sounds pretty funny, right ... anyway, these rockets will change the landscape in gaza and biib knows it ... this situation is headed to another fight and this time to the death. bye bye hamas ... maybe then we can get some peace
2. Just a little suggestion.....
Maureen ,   Zürich. Schweiz   (02.28.09)
.... for EVERY rocket that lands on Israeli soil, with or without damage to Israel, why does Israel take it in their stride instead of Israel sending TWO rockets in return, right into the heart of Gaza????? I think the Hamas will eventually get the message. It sounds like childs play, doesn't it? So be it until Gaza understands the message !!!
3. Where is rthe world's cry of bloody murder.
Allan ,   US   (02.28.09)
Oh yeah, that only happens when Israel defends itself. Time to turn Gaza into a Chechnya. No mercy! Either Hamas uncnditionally surrennders or Gaza becomes a trash heap.
4. Barak for DM!
(02.28.09)
Considering his great success in defeating Hamas, Barak should stay DM!
5. STOP UPGRADE WEAPONRY A.S.A.P.

THE INCOMMING MISSILES CONTINUE ....PEOPLE ARE TRAUMATISED CRIPPLED, AND KILLED .IDF MUST CONTINUE "CAST LEAD PART 11 .UPGRADES OF WEAPONS KNOW NO BOUNDARIES AS TO SOPHISTICATION AND THEIR PAY-LOAD. POLITICAL AND DIPLOMATIC ANSWERS HAVE FAILED THE RESPONSE ONCE AGAIN MUST BE TO DISSUADE IN A HARSH WAY THAT WILL PUT AN END TO THE 80% BACKING OF THE GAZAN CITIZEN SUPPORT FOR HAMAS ONCE AND FOR ALL, IT IS A PITTY,BUT THERE WE ARE.!
6. Time To Hit Them Back
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (02.28.09)
It's time to completely destroy the rest of their tunnels. These maggots obviously have not learned their lesson.
7. Big shot houses
real vision ,   United States   (02.28.09)
For every rocket into israel...Israel should demolish one of the nicer houses in gaza...FOR EVERY ROCKET. Those rich gazans will be pissed at someone locally
8. 2 Hamas is only returning bit by bit of the ammunition
lydia ,   Brisbane, Australia   (03.01.09)
stock pile left there during the last 23days IOFs blitzkrieg that wrecked Gaza and resulted in the death of 1300 Palestinians, including unarmed women and children. Let's pray the next batch don't land right in the middle of Tel Aviv or Dimona.
9. 5 Hamas has said repeatedly rocket will cease
lydia ,   Brisbane, Australia   (03.01.09)
when the siege is lifted. In all honesty it should be when siege lifted, occupation ends and ALL prisoners released. No Justice No Peace!
10. The problem is NOT HAMAS! The problem is ISRAEL APPEASEMENT!
GET REAL ,   USA   (03.01.09)
ISRAEL retreated and surrendered and lost HAMAS war to APPEASE the world.
11. Hamas believes that killing Jews is a prerequisite to ...
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (03.01.09)
Hamas believes that killing Jews is a prerequisite to redemption. The essential problem with Hamas is not the missiles and rockets it showers on Israel, but the core belief that killing Jews is a prerequisite to redemption. Hamas's ongoing attempts to kill Jews, which have led to the current Gaza War, are a symptom of the far deeper problem -- the ideology teaching that Allah demands the extermination of Jews. Israel and the West must create a strategy not only to destroy the terror infrastructures of Hamas, but to ultimately ensure that Jews and the world are safe from this ideology and its consequences. As to what Hamas really want : http://xrl.us/bjurj
12. Math Q: How many rockets will Clinton's $900 million buy?
Rod ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.01.09)
Hillary Clinton, whose own country is collapsing infrastructurally, financially and economically, promised $900 million to help 'rebuild' Gaza. 9/11 was a blip. American government is back in the business of funding terrorism, from the Mujahadeen to Iran/Contra.
13. to 9
Barney ,   USA   (03.01.09)
you are seriously out of touch with reality. why should siege be lifted against an enemy nation that seeks your destruction? Besides, in the extremely unlikely event a "siege" was lifted there would be something else. Release murderers and terrorists? the "siege" is not a siege at all. no aid ,humanitarian or otherwise ,should pass from Israel into Gaza. Why feed the mouth that seeks to bite your head off. get real! The Israelis have been far too lenient already and THAT is why the rockets still fly.
14. How to stop Hamas rockets
Charles Duran ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.01.09)
Simply lift the siege and stop playing victim.
15. I don't see worldwide demonstations against Hamas, do you?
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (03.01.09)
Neither do I see any negative headlines in the international newspapers. But rest assured you'd see these headlines and demonstrations in full force, once Israel finally retaliates.
16. to Maureen
jake ,   los angeles   (03.01.09)
You're so right Maureen. Israelis are not being very cooperative. They definitely should take things more "in stride", just like they were doing it a short while ago, while marching into gas chambers under applause of peace loving europeans. It's truly ironic, that it's coming from a Swiss. I would imagine Switzerland would love to assist Hamas in their "peaceful" endeavors , just the way you were helping your friend Hitler. Times change, but blind hatred of Jews stays... And, to you Lydia. Just ask yourself, if Israel is so bloodthirsty, why aren't they bombing the West Bank?
17. Send out the message
Raoul ,   Israel   (03.01.09)
to the EU and others wasting their money in Gaza. For every rocket sent by Hamas, destroy infrastructure. Then Hamas won't get the support which is trickling back.
18. To Charles Duran, the simpleton
JPS ,   Efrat   (03.01.09)
Great idea, Chuck! "Simply lift the siege and stop playing victim. " Ooops! For years when there was no "siege" and the borders were open, guess what happened, Chuck? Not only did Hamas fire rockets, but they repeatedly attacked the border crossings and killed not just Israelis, but Palestinians too! Why? Because Hamas wanted the border crossings closed so that there would be no trade with Israel. Now, Hamas still fires rockets and cries about the borders being closed cuz it makes it harder for them to skim money from innocent Pals. The worst part is that simpleton suckers like you believe them.
19. #9 1000 prisoners for an 18 year old soldier. hamas idea for
arab life worth   (03.01.09)
20. The blockade
M ,   Edinburgh   (03.01.09)
The blockade came into effect because of rocket and mortar attacks. The onus is on Hamas to stop trying to murder innocent civilians; they won't because it is their ideology. How can people not comprehend this.
21. Not Grad
blowback ,   High Wycombe, UK   (03.02.09)
The artillery rocket commonly known as the Grad has a diameter of 122mms. According to this report the rockets used this time were of 170mm diameter so how can they be Grads? BTW, Iran doesn't appear to produce 170mm artillery rockets. It can' t be a Fajr or Zelzal either. The Fajr-2 has a diameter of 122mm, the Fajr-3 has a diameter of 240mm, the Fajr-5 has a diameter of 333mm and the Zelzals all have a diameter of 610mms..
22. Tolerance
Bernard ,   Cape Town   (03.02.09)
Any other country in the world would not tolerate even one rocket. Why wait? I say slap back hard immediately! Waiting even 4 minutes before a response is too long!
23. Rocket for a rocket!!
Ephriam Perez   (03.03.09)
Citizens of Ashkelon.....Send some rockets of your own back with a vengence..... Just aim them right into the heart of Gaza. They will send a message of consequence.
24. Only the total abdication of Hamas will do
Kiralop ,   Miami, FL   (03.06.09)
Israel still does not have the will todestroy its enemies. It's making the same mistakes as they did in battling Hezbollah. Israel needs to force the world to see the daily terror and destruction being wrought by Hamas. I say, close off all of the borders, and tell them that they will remain closed until Hamas leaves Gaza.
