1. bibi and livni
alexi   (03.02.09)
Bibi, yoiu don't need livni who while having some good attributes was persuaded by olmert and some academics that 2 states was realistic. That she did not resign when olmert refused to resign after winograd shows she lacks the requisite courage. She also appears somewhat lame and stupid. Mofaz was not much better. Do a right wing coalition and then some of kadima will move over to you. Yaalon at defense is a better choice than barak who has not stopped gaza missiles.
2. #1 You are right in your words.
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (03.02.09)
And,beside Yaalon in defense,I heard that Natan Sharansky would be good as Foreign Ministry.I don'know about him,but believe he would be good.
3. Netanyahu,Barak wasBADfor Israel'security,why do you insist?
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (03.02.09)
Is it smart to keep insisting in mistakes? Is it?
4. Labor is needed in the coalition
Steve   (03.02.09)
I am right-wing, however, I think Labor should be in the coalition for a number of reasons. Firstly, Labor will gain nothing by sitting in opposition - the party is not in good shape. By joining the government and working for Israel's best interests they can prove they have the country's interests at heart. That said, the main reason Labor is needed is because of Ehud Barak. The man is a military genius. The rocket fire is not his fault - its Olmert's. Olmert should have let him finish the job. The day before Cast Lead, Barak opened the crossings and sent in lots of aid. Hamas thought Israel had gone soft, so they were off guard when the airstrikes came. It is better from a foreign relations point of view to have some sort of unity government, but Kadima (whose leader has the intelligence of a child) cannot be included for this reason. On the other hand, Barak brings experience and expertise - we will need this when we inevitably confront Iran.
5. Dose Bibi believes in Right coalition? So why Livni or Barak
Asher ,   Ny,USA   (03.02.09)
Does he forget Sharon when he decided to form Kadima a non-existant party with many disasterous mistakes? Even the recent war with Gaza has not stopped the missiles yet. Kadima should be forgotten and Bibi should close their file. Israel needs a real NEW fine jobs to be done and it can't be done by fallen Kadimas or Labor policies. They had their turn and they didn't manage and lost a big opportunity regarding Iran due their mismanagement. Bibi should concetrate on Right and learn fast how to deal with realities on the ground. People of Israel voted for Right and thats what they are expecting from Bibi to rule with.
6. being a part of Netanyahu's government means death
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (03.02.09)
Exactly right. But Barak doesn't care. He's only in it for himself.
7. Barak has found a sure way to kill labour
zionist forever   (03.02.09)
The party is split on joining a coalition with Netanyahu if he is stand firm to his commitment to go into opposition. He was the first to say that the party would go into opposition rather than join any coalition that included Liberman. Now its starting to sink in that for the first time ever Labour going to find itself in coalition rather than either in somebody elses coalition or being the strongest party. If he is smart he will spend the next couple of years trying to get left wing Kadima members to defect and the voters to choose Labour over Kadima if they want a left wing government.
