Of course give them arms to protect themselves, what could be coming next? Russia gives Gaza it's own small nuclear bomb to defend itself? Only Hashem could allow this irrational scene to occur. A miracle is coming.

The Russkies miss their Soviet past, when they wielded great influence and made everybody's lives miserable. With oil prices back down, Russia doesn't have the money to throw around any more, but they do have out-of-date equipment they can pawn off and make themselves look good. This is nothing new. Back in the '90s they also gave the Pals armored vehicles, which Israel took out when intifada #2 started (along with the Russian supplied choppers that made up the "Pal Air Force"). What the Russians can't do, however, is help the Pals become successful and independent. Only the Yanks do that. In the meantime, the Pals continue to be the pitiful poor kid who instead of going to school to learn a trade, hold their hands out and beg for more aid that they can piss away.
