31. guys, we WANT this to come to court
Danny   (03.09.09)
because at the moment they can claim it, once it gets thrown out then I would like to believe that our foreign ministry will force under threat of libel every single reporter who carried this story to publicly admit he/she is a liar.
32. No mention of prosecuting Hamas for attacking Israeli
Rivkah   (03.09.09)
civilians. The ICC just wants to attack Israel for defending itself. God will judge such unjust judges. God will judge them.
33. # 15 Shut up you Fool Carlos
Chocko ,   NY, USA   (03.09.09)
Calling everyone who disagrees with you an Antisemite shows how pathetic your argument is.... What an idiot... and for the record.. Im not anti semitic... I actually like Arabs
34. #16 - Oh they won't investigate USA thats
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.09.09)
for sure but, the real question is why?
35. What? That's all you got? White Phosphorus???
William ,   Israel   (03.09.09)
That only proves that the claim of war crimes by Israel is a politically-motivated attack on behalf of Leftists and Arabs everywhere. No other action, which so many have claimed, are now considered war crimes. In addition, the ONLY action they have left is the one the ICRC claimed was legal according to intl conventions. Perhaps, instead of trying to attack Israel, those who are upset at the legal use of munitions should consider changing the law. Attacking Israel does nothing for the next person who uses these shells...or do they even care (i.e. silence of Russian atrocities in Georgia).
36. #4 - Keren - Papers proving Pals have a State
William ,   Israel   (03.09.09)
So, if this is true, then the war is over. We already have a 2-State solution and attacking Gaza is considered a response to a State attack on Israel. Further, it means the Pals are 100% under the Intl conventions and can be charged with war crimes...today! Actually, I think the papers are crap, and like UNR242, are merely just twisted interpretations used by Arabs for their own gain. If any group can simply proclaim themselves a State because they have a govt (although corrupt), infrastructure (mostly donated and used for violence), and borders (which apparently they recognize already, including parts of Israel) - then why don't the Basques, the Tamils, and the Kurds proclaim their own State - now, unilaterally. They would be legal.
37. #18 - Mohson - The Dutch put their own MP on trial!
William ,   Israel   (03.09.09)
They call it "incitement" but Geerts did nothing more than mimic the very language and threats coming out of the Mosques around the Arab world, and increasingly in Europe. It's like a reporter getting arrested for reporting what he heard. Now, if the Dutch are so willing to offer up one of their own to appease their parasitic Muslims....don't you think they would be the first to offer the neck of Israel??
38. #8 - If the ICC doesn't investigate Hamas, lose credibility
William ,   Israel   (03.09.09)
It's as simple as that. The law pertains to everyone or no one. Hamas is so clearly in violation of intl law and war crimes that even Gazans have stated so. The question is - will the ICC investigate it and redeem their credibility, or be just another cog in the wheel of Arab domination?
39. #25 - A perfect response to Hamas and Liberals
William ,   Israel   (03.09.09)
Arabs often complain that Israel is armed to the teeth and to make the fight fair, Pals should have an air force. Though no one adds to the equation what massive damage the IDF can do but doesn't, and the massive damage the Arabs would do but can't. Sending rockets back, 1 for 1, is a perfect answer to this common complaint. However, though liberals say the Hamas rockets are merely firecrackers (though killing many), they would be the first to blame Israel as a war criminal for exactly the same action with the same device.
40. #35 - William I am on my Meds trying
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.09.09)
to foster a more serene outlook, so I would just like to respectfully ask about you comment. "That only proves that the claim of war crimes by Israel is a politically-motivated attack on behalf of Leftists and Arabs everywhere." Leftists and Arabs everywhere? Why do you believe that makes any sense at all? Can an "Arab" be "rightest" or "conservative" Does a "leftist" have to be "anti-Israel" or "anti" anything for that matter? Thanks for the consideration and if you don't have time for this drivel because you are to engrossed in waging "rightest jihad" I understand
41. #35 - William just forget about my stupid
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.09.09)
question to ya anyway and on the main point of whether or not the ICC's investigation of the IDF is dubious. I will say that I fundamentally agree with you and it is fahrcoct . If bashin political "south paws" is your thing then so be it but really true "lefties" are more inert "mouth breathers" than anything else.
42. #33 chocko..MAYBE YOU ARE IN THE WRONG NEWSPAPER..
AVRUM ,   CANADA   (03.09.09)
#33 chocko...... CHOCKO MUST BE RELATED TO THE IRANIAN HUMANITARIAN, AHMENAJOCKO. HE LIKES TO READ YNET AND PLACE POSTS HERE......MAYBE YOU LIKE ISRAEL AND ISRAELIS...... MAYBE YOU LOVE JEWS. CHOKOE SAYS HE "ACTUALLY LIKES ARABS".....DOES HE DESERVE THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR "ACTUALLY LIKING' SOME PEOPLE.. HOWEVER, CHOKO , YOU SHOULD NOT ACCUSE OTHER PEOPLE AS FOOLS ON THE YNET FORUM, JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THEIR OPINIONS. IF YOU "ACTUALLY LIKE ARABS" AS YOU SAY, WHY DON'T YOU GET OUT OF YNET POSTINGS AND GO WRITE TO THE ARAB NEWSPAPERS..... IT SEEMS THAT WOULD BE MORE UP YOUR ALLEY, AS YOU "ACTUALLY LIKE ARABS".
43. proudly presents the garbage state, GAZA

If Gaza is a state, then the Hague must be a sh..t house....
44. war crimes
jim overly ,   winnipeg, canada   (03.21.09)
i've heard the word " holocaust ", used to describe israel's invasion of gaza. how many innocent people must die, before the world's police force takes action? why is everyone afraid to speak up against these atrocities? destruction of infrastructure?
45. ICC, another tentacle to punish disobedients?
C.C. ,   Barcelona   (03.27.09)
I recommend reading a little more about ICC. Maybe even about Benjamin B. Ferencz, who as a Hungarian Jew escaped persecution to U.S., was prosecutor in the Einsatzgruppen Trial, became Professor of International Law and is a strong supporter of ICC. You are correct though, but stating it in very strange terms, that ICC cannot act equally in the world at the moment. But that, my friend, is because of the opposition to this tribunal.
