31. NK = Fake Jews = Pro-Terrorists
Hinda ,   SF Bay Area   (03.09.09)
Rashid, since you love terrorism and hate life, you are already in the same life as they are. My question is why are you in Israel? Why do you enjoy 21st century technology? Why don't you and them become "zionists" for Mecca - since living as a dhimmi is the way to go!
32. #11 Dear Rashidele,
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (03.09.09)
Don't you have in your town a netural karate academy?
33. bashin the guardians, the sentinels
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.09.09)
they are trying to remove all idolatry. An ambitious goal albeit unrealistic and a bit annoying. I say "live and let live" just stare at em like the nochri do to ahmish.
34. Who Cares
Aaron B ,   LA   (03.09.09)
seriously, if any one has done even a bit of research will know that neturi karta love nothing more than to make a rucus. these are the same people that show support for Hamas on the basis that they are anti-zionist. You can be ani-zionist without supporting the killing of fellow jews. so if you or your children were considering wearing an IDF costume this Purim go right ahead. i doubt whether there's room for neturi karata in Gan Eden.
35. Neturei Karta
hhd   (03.09.09)

40. they are right; universal Yahweh is everywhere
observer   (03.09.09)
so, the promised land is a loaded term, the promised land is anywhere where the righteous faithful lives. The term Zion has at least four meanings having to do with two different parts of Jerusalem, with Jerusalem itself, but also generally talking “about the people of Israel who viewed Jerusalem and the Temple as their religious center.” So while one hand holds Zion as a place, the other hand holds it as a people. The One G-d's promised land goes beyond our terms, our limiting to it.
41. and the neturi carter should stop dressing up as
Debbie ,   Toronto   (03.09.09)
Jews the rest of the year they are a disgrace not only to themselves but to the entire Jewish nation
42. To Observer#40. Is Simply Hilarious.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (03.10.09)
You say :”The One G-d's promised land goes beyond our terms,” Dear Observer, with promised-land I think you refer to the Land of Israel, which includes Judea & Samaria. Moses the Law Giver led the Jewish People out of Egypt in 1260 B.Chr.. Soon thereafter (in the Sinai Peninsula) Moses the Law Giver received the Ten Commandments from YAHWEH, the Supreme Lord. Thereafter YAHWEH, the Supreme Lord, gave Israel, which includes Judea & Samaria, to the Jewish People as their homeland. AFTER wandering for forty years the Jewish People entered Israel, which includes Judea & Samaria, in 1220 B.Chr. -- as per ORDER of YAHWEH, the Supreme Lord. Dear Observer, IF you say that Israel, which includes Judea & Samaria, is beyond our means of understanding -- that will imply that Egypt is also beyond our means of understanding. To say that Egypt is beyond our means of understanding -- is simply ludicrous, it is hilarious.
43. Every day is Purim for NK

45. One flew east, one flew west...
Samael ,   California   (03.10.09)
...one flew over the cuckoo's nest. I really think the Neturei Karta shouldn't drink. They're crazy enough sober.
46. #42 do you believe that the bible is not but record book of

real state?
47. NK Are Correct
Mark Silberstone ,   US   (03.10.09)
It's interesting to see the viciousness and vindictiveness expressed by most of the posters. Some of the posters show complete ignorance of the subject and literally make things up to express their hatred for NK. It's refreshing to see a few people show a little restraint and respect the fact that NK is consistant and has nothing to do with the State of Israel - in any way, shape or form - that's more than can be said for most people when they take a position. With respect to Zionism - as much as Israeli's obviously don't want to hear it - the NK comes from a very prominent Rabbinic and Torah based perspective which makes extremely clear that Zionism goes completely against fundamental Jewish beliefs. We are in exhile and are meant to wait until we are taken out of exhile. Even Zionists knows this. It's really not difficult to see what a corrupting influence Zionism is and how much death and distruction it has produced - against both Jews and Palestinians. 1200 Palestinians were killed in the latest on-slaught - nearly a third were children - this is not Judaism - this is Zionism. Unfortunately, many of the Yeshiva's in Israel get their money from the government and have succumbed to the temptation - rationalizing murder as Israel just "defending itself". Zionism will fail, same as so many other "-isms" - socialism, communism, etc... But in the mean time the damage to Judaism and human lives is nearly unfathomable and Neturei Karta are among the few who outspokenly fight the battle instead of quietly just disagreeing but doing nothing and so many other Jews unfortunately do.
48. Out of here
Robert Goldman ,   KFAR SABA ISRAEL   (03.10.09)

50. #11 Could you be any more stupid?
Talula ,   Israel   (03.10.09)
Even if you pushed yourself to the outter limits, you could not be any more stupid. I know that the Neturei Karta are the nearest thing to Palestinian terrorists, but don't rely on them to be your saviours, Dude. Take some responsibility for your self made situation and stop waiting for someone to come and make things better for you. LOSER!!!
51. No. 39 Joe
NYC Girl   (03.10.09)
I understand your point, but the reason I suggested Brooklyn is because in New York at least there are people who'll challenge their half-assed views. In Iran, they'll only encounter sycophants who'll trot them out for the media in an effort to show that there are religious Jews who believe the State of Israel shouldn't exist. But, to be perfectly honest, neither New York nor Iran are the place I would really like to see them go.
52. Which Neturie Karta, Monsey, NY or Mea Shearim Israel?
Moshe ,   Brooklyn   (03.10.09)
Which Neturie Karta is this the one from Monsey, New York which isn run by Mr Dovid Wiess or the one from Mea shearimn, Jerusalem which is run by Mr Hirsh?.
53. #38 Yes, Leo, crossing dressing is absolutely acceptable.
Talula ,   Israel   (03.10.09)
54. Their motivation is weird, but
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.10.09)
I'd still be careful of using state uniforms as costumes. We forbade this during the FLQ crisis. It's a security issue. Period.
55. #36 - Jake, What i am talking about is
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.10.09)
Neturei Karta (transliteration) "Guardians of the City" literally Yerushaylim and if they hold true to the original "tenets" of anti-Zionism then they are abiding to the tractate of the Talmud that prohibits the "House of Yaakov" from ascending the wall (Har Habayit) en masse. Bab. Talmud Ketubot 111a. This is in Keeping with the ideal of many i.e. R. Elchonan Wasserman N"E, Shlit"a. As far as the Echayrim Egal or B. Talmud Sedarim Avoda Zara which prohibits giving "Holy" status or significance to material items i.e. icons and symbols for the Nationalist State of Yisrael. However, this isn't an opinion that a share and since I am not NK I could be completely incorrect in my assessment. I live in the Xitian founded American State where "idolatry" is so completely and thoroughly ingrained and inherent within this society and culture from the beginning and everybody notices it so much "that nobody even notices it at all" In short I believe idolatry is like anti-Semitism it is protean and always changing so it is really just aberration.
56. oh yeah #36 - Jake another thing
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.10.09)
I suppose you would doubt it but "Gentiles" do stare at the Amish or Ahmish (however it is spelled) but, I suppose you could go through a lengthy explanation Ad nauseam to demonstrate the errors proffered by my "atavistic" "nubbin" non jesus brain so I will save us both some time and if you simply tell me I am incorrect I will accept that and call it a day.
57. #47 - Mark Silberston - u is talkn crazy & I Like it
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (03.10.09)
58. How can these disgusting individuals not have ID cards
zionist forever   (03.10.09)
They are compulsory for Israeli citizens. I know we have this pathetic law allowing religious jews not to go into the army which should be repealed anyway but how come they are legaly allowed not to have ID cards? How do they manage without them when they come into situations where you need to show an ID card. The idea of boycotting groups like Zaka and other rescue groups because they are run by zionists is sick ... it doesn't matter if Osama Bin Laden was helping to save lives it would still be considered a mitzvah. They don't like the police or IDF so if their home is broken into or a member of their family was attacked would they not go to the police? If the country was invaded would they want the IDF to be out there to protect them or would they say the IDF were impure or would they say take that uniform off and go home and pray instead and hope for the best because nobody will be out there fighting they will all be relying on the power of prayer alone? The only good thing I can say about these people is they don't accept state benefits unlike other religious groups who want as much money as they can get to finance the large families they can't afford to support of the fact they don't want to get a job and just sit in yeshiva all day. These people are disgusting and don't belong in Israel. These people are jews who hate jews because they are not religious enough for their liking. It can even be argued they are the ones who are against jewish values. During Cast Lead there were daily protests in the UK outside the Israeli embassy. I saw on the news how on a shabbat the Neturei Karta were with the non jews throwing their shoes at the embassy. Shabbat is not meant to be a time when your out protesting especialy when jewish lives are on the line. They might be in the IDF but they are still jews Give them all to Hamas as a little bonus I am sure they would get on great together, all Israel haters who believe it has no right to exist.
59. 11
zionist forever   (03.10.09)
Your welcome to them. How about we start a campaign to give them citizenship of Hamastan then we can kick them out of the counntry they say has no right to exist. These people are enemies of the jewish people and if you want them your welcome to them with the blessing of the people of Israel.
60. Good Job YNET!
Michael ,   Galut   (03.10.09)
You are successfully making mountains out of molehills. You have made (now and in the past) Neturei Karta seem as if they are a significant Hareidi group. Most of what is in the above article is irrelevant because they are only about 5000 worldwide. Anyway, they still are significant in other ways, such as the disgrace they cause by meeting with Israel and the Jewish people's enemies.
